Best firmware for YD201 for battery life? - YotaPhone

Hello, I purchased a new YD201 on eBay recently, and I am looking into the best firmware to install on this phone. I saw a lot of posts about poor battery life on certain firmwares as well as various fixes for those problems. Can anyone give me a direct answer here in 2020, as many of you have been solving these problems for a few years. What is the best firmware for the YD201 Yotaphone 2?
The one I purchased is the EU version running Lollipop 5.0. What do you say? Thank you so much for your help. If you have a suggestion, please specify the country and exact version if you can.

I have tried all of them and finally MMB29M.6.0.1-ME1.1.47ex is the best for battery usage.

[Q] Replacing GT-I9508 with other official firmwares via ODIN?

Hi all,
I'm a newbie to Android, not to mention rooting and flashing with ROMs, please bear with me if I ask too many noobie questions.
I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9508 from China, and I reside in Australia. While I am able to connect to Australian networks, I've noticed three distinct phenomena:
1. No surprises that all google-related apps are blocked.
2. Battery life when not on flight mode barely lasts 7 hours on light usage, but can last up to 4 days when on flight mode.
3. My phone is miles faster when on flight mode.
I'm not certain what is wrong with the battery but I am convinced that somehow the firmware from China has something to do with it. I thought the best solution to all three issues would be to flash the S4 with an official 9505 ROM (Vodafone) downloaded from Sammobile via ODIN, but ODIN continuously gives a failure message prior to any progress bars appearing in the dwm on the phone.
My question is, am I doing anything obviously wrong so far? I am reluctant to use custom ROMs such as cyanogen, but if I have to, I will.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated, and many thanks up front.
Alex.
any luck

did you tried to download the latest stock rom for your device here?
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=GT-I9508&pcode=0#firmware
I don't believe a different stock rom from a different device works for you with all features and with no issues...
After update you can try to root it with vroot or cfautoroot and try to delete apps and fix Google Apps...

NXT-AL 29 ROM on AL 10 device

Folks,
run the search function several time, but did not find the what I was looking for.....please apologize in case I missed it!
I am new in the Mate 8 section, coming from some HTC devices but decided to move on....I found a cheap AL-10 -not bought yet!- but would like to turn it into an European AL-29 in case it is needed.
Firstly is it really necessary to flash a new ROM or can I deactivate all the Chinese junk and do not have any massy Chinese fonts or strange software on the device? Would make life much easier as I do not need to root the whole device. In general is a Chinese Mate 8 fully operational in Europe or do I need to expect some bugs. Adding the google apps is no big deal, means keeping the stock un-rooted AL-10 would be the preferred solution. Any feedback on the day-to-day experiences with the AL-10 in Europe, I found, I think one thread stating about some issues, but not sure whether this would reflect the majority of AL-10 users.
What about OTA's? in case I keep the AL-10 ROM will I get OTA's in Europe as well, or do I need to do the update manually by downloading the update file?
For a short period of time I was on a Honor 7 were a unlock code was necessary, similar thing here, if yes ho to obtain it?
Thank you very much in advance for your reply, and pls. share as much experiences as possible.

Best method to root the A2017 Chinese Model

Hi All,
I am looking for the best way to root to determine what is causing battery drain (awake). Basically needing to determine the best method of rooting the A2017 I have determined several methods but actually haven't seen much feedback on peoples experiences flashing this particular build. The current build I am running is A2017V1.0.0B07.0 (was purchased for Aliexpress) I have found this thread below:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/development/wip-axon-7-root-bootloader-unlokced-t3441204
How ever looks like people are experiencing bricking as a result.
I have then come across the below method which looks like it hasn't been tested on unlocking the bootloader for the A2017 model
https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/development/recovery-official-twrp-zte-axon-7-t3515715
I am getting further and further confused about which method is correct and the best plan of attack?
Any help would be appreciated
I'm having the same difficulty.
Hello, I would like to know if you got any satisfactory answers, or discovered some method for this cell to have better battery life and better usability, thanks for the help!

Xt1684 xt1685 uk

Hi guys and gals
Any information on functionality of this model after unlocking bootloader, flashing TWRP and choice of rom.
Why I posted was to check that whoever reads this post can be assured of at least getting the same experience of the stock OS, but with all the goodies that come with Oreo, preferably 64bit version.
One thing I have noticed is that download links tend to have a specific model ie pixel experience shows xt1686 on androidfilehost.
So any information regarding UK only model can be kept in one place, if anyone has spent any time reading the G5plus forums its a right mess between the different models, and the same questions and answers are going around again and again, so for us if having one Country specific post can help any confusion, great in my book.
Any non UK owners, please do not clutter up this thread, suggest you create your own model/country specific new post.
Regards
Ray
I've only just got my xt1685, so haven't rooted yet.
I want to use android pay so need to read up on that first.
I've also have a G3 and I prosume this will be the same and any regnal version for a G5 plus will work.

Which version of stock is for me?

I have an G6 Plus Model XT1926-7 and I want to return to stock.
I see lots of variants available on https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/evert/official
Which one do I pick - or does it matter.
I purchased my device on ebay - should I just go with the RETAIL version?
Thanks in advance for the assistance.
Maybe this thread is helpful:

Choose the latest version of your software channel and that's all.

Did you have any trouble rooting XT1926-7 or any problem with it afterwards?
I am considering buying XT1926-7 from Amazon and plan to root it.
Great phone - doesn't seem like lots of support, but I like the phone.
I am rooted and on Havoc. I liked that better than stock or RR (which at this point hasn't been updated in a couple of months). Also, bluetooth calling doesn't work on RR.
Great battery life.
Follow the install guides.
