I have problem with led notification when i charge my Touch2. The software never indicates the 100% charge and at 50-60% it start to discharge and then to charge again. The led is always orange, not change to green.
After 3-4 hours of charging i remove the power source, i restart the divice and it show 100% the battery level.
Somone know how to fix this bug?
I think is the same problem with HTC Diamond2 Power LED Notification fixed by HTC.
Nobody with this problem?
No did not notice.....what you can do to solve is a soft and alternatively a hard reset......
This problem apear after an hard reset and i think is something from the registry. But i can't find what.

yeah.. i have the same problem too..
there is something wrong with my mega after i made hard reset.
something wrong with the battery indicator. i had to reset my phone every time i charged.
so, please.. anybody know?? or even better, give us the solution..??
The same problem
There is an update on the HTC website concerning unlocking and resume after sleep http://www.htc.com/www/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=291&act=sd&cat=all which is not an answer propably to your problem but would do anyway.
And for sure would take it to HTC service.....
Try this:
Try to plug the power cord to phone AFTER you unlock the screen. Verify the battery icon has changed to "charging" and leave the phone. The green led should light in max. 2 hours.
It works for me but i noticed this problem 2 times in 6 months.
I think it's a windows bug.
For my case, after hard reset it back to normal(turn green after full charge)
Assume that hard reset is performed in correct manner..!!

Hi,
Sorry for my English
I think that problem by charging the battery is on the charging method, ie on the charge current.
If battery is charged by PC (USB), then charge current is 300-350 mA (Medium Charging), battery is then fully charged (100%) without any errors.
When using HTC charger, charging current is 800-900mA (FastCharging) and then come the problems.
My presumption is that interruption of charging is due to rapidly increasing voltage and temperature of battery, and it leads to protection shutdown, Windows will detect the error as it leads to charging interruption.
Hello guys,
Please try the following,
1. Drain the battery completely i.e. use the phone it it switches off by itself.
2. Once done, start charging the phone & keep the phone powered-off.
3. Charge it completely till the LED status is Green.
The above method will refresh the battery & probably should clear the issue.

I have the same problem, I found the display lights up when charging, is marked with 100% HTC charger.
Kinda asked this before, but would like to check with other people who might have met this problem.
I am currently installed with tytung build with magdlr. When i change to a new battery, it doesnt charge my battery. Is there any work around to this?
The scenario is,"
Whenever i put the new battery in, it charges for the first 2 mins or so then stops. The red charging led is still on but my lock screen doesn't show its charging anymore, unlike the first 2 mins where it shows its charging"
So earlier today I noticed that my battery was at 7% and I realized I needed to charge it. I plugged it in to charge, I got the beep and the lighting bolt on the battery (and the red charging LED), and left it alone for 30 or so minutes to do other stuff, came back to check for messages and saw that my battery was now at 5%.
I've tried three different chargers, sockets, usb ports, etc... and they all have the same effect.
So I decided to see if it would charge with the phone off. Upon doing so, the phone doesn't charge and all it does is give me a really short vibration every 5 seconds.
Anybody have any ideas on what it might be? I find it rather odd that it's not charging even though every charging indicator is turning on. I'm using a stock phone with the latest OTA update. Not rooted, no custom roms, etc... It's pretty vanilla.

Two possible causes: one, your battery is dead and it is one of the Samsung published as defective (check first letters for the SN and/or try a different battery); two, your USB PCB is broken (technical service).

i had this problem when i was using MiUI rom, i must switch my phone's power to off for it to charge normally. i've switched across to another custom ROMs and it's working just fine, just my personal experience!
So last night I left my N7 powered off with around 20% battery. When I decided to charge it in the next day, it didn't turn on for any reason. All I could see was the short flicker on the screen after 5 sec of charge. Tried holding on the power button for more than 10 sec, hard reset or even reconnecting the battery still didn't do anything good. Is there any way that I can do about it before getting it repaired?
Not very much to work with. To make sure that your device actually fails to charge and it's not a defective screen or anything else you might use a low end ampere meter. Alternatively you could plug it into your computer. On Windows the device manager will show you if a usb device is drawing power. Also try if your nexus can go into fastboot mode 1%-2% charge should usually be sufficient to get it into fastboot mode.
Also i had a custom rom which would leave my nexus in trickle charge mode until I could boot it up and power down again.

Turns out it drained the battery way down to 0% even when powered off. All I did was plug in and out after 5 sec to give it a kickstart. I was relieved to see it turn on the screen after so many attempts. It's nothing too serious about. Again, really appreciate your help.
