i have a wave 2 8530 but every time i connect it to pc it say USB device not recognised. i have tried installing and reinstalling many times. but it is the same. as a resutl of which i could not flash my old firmware (s8530DDKA1). plz help. thanks in advance
Can you change USB port?
possible solutions
install kies and it will install the usb drivers
change the usb port
try to make windows able to get drivers using windows update feature (solves a lot of unable to connect issues)
its stil not recognizing
the phone screen says initializing only. it does not change from that.
First install kies and all drivers correctly.
Then, you need to register 2 dll :
From command line of windows, type the following commands:
cd c:\windows\system32
regsvr32 msxml3.dll ( a message box will appear to inform you that registration is ok)
regsvr32 msxml6.dll ( a message box will appear to inform you )
After start kies and connect your phone (preferably choose a new usb port).
It should work
Had the same problem with my Wave...
GO up to your Device manager (Right-Click on My Computer->Device Manager)
Then see if there is a exclamatory mark on any icons which relates to your phone.
If yes, Just update the Kies to newer version, else try komanguy's method after upgrade...Revert back and tell me your changes
Hello,
this might be a stupid question, but when I connect my X5 with a USB cable to my pc, and push the button "Turn on USB storage" nothing happens.
No drive letters or anything appears ( Pc XP, Android version 2.2.1 , build: U8800V100R001C00B136 )
For now I transfer pictures with the program Hi Suite ( that works fine ) so I think I have the correct drivers, ... ?
I know there are ftp programma's where I can transfer my data with, but I want to use my phone as a USB mass-storage, any suggestions or apps that I can use to fix this?
Thanks !
When I connect to my pc, it shows this: ''USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNISED''.
And there is no signal/notification on my android to choose which type of connection I need to use.
I tried installing the zenfone software that is used to connect it to pc but it didn't work too...
Try using Different usb cable and different usb ports on ur computer...
the "USB Device not recognised" Problem mainly occurs due to this..
If this doesn't solve ur problem, them probably ur usb port of ur mobile is damaged..
Long story short, there's a .vxp clock face installed on my watch (not the default face, custom one, found somewhere on internet as known .zip trio: .vxp, .xml and .png). The watch is Garett GT18 (seems to be Ulefone GW01 clone - as hardware and firmware). The special thing about that clock face is that it supports date, battery level, steps, and day of week! The photo of face is here : https ://i.imgur.com/n5YPrcu.jpg (yes, I know it's a default face in GW01, but it wasn't on my GT18 it's custom one). I'm 100% sure the face was regular .vxp app, installed with Fundo Wear. The problem is, the face .zip file is completely lost due to hard disk failure. Took me 3 days in void to search for it but it was amongst many many pages about custom watch faces - so no luck there. First I tried to make a firmware dump - nothing on it. Later I found out the .vxp is probably stored in SPI internal flash disk - the same that is accessible when watch is connected to PC in "Mass storage mode". Unlucky, only user partition C: is visible, system partition D: is hidden. I later found here: https ://github.com/mandl/LinkIt_Assist_2502/blob/master/uploader.py that D: partiton may be accessed using serial modem AT commands. This leads to my final problem (the introduction is long and descriptive to avoid XY problem): how do I access said serial modem? (My os is Ubuntu Linux). When I enter Engineering mode on watch with *#993646633# code, I can access UART settings - when I set one of TST-PS config, PS confing, and TST-L1 config (I tried it separately) to "USB port 2", the watch connected with USB shows as "0e8d:0023 MediaTek Inc. S103" and two devices appear /dev/ttyACM0 and /dev/ttyACM1 (which are supposed to be serial modem and serial debug ports). But in any of these confings, the python script (modified to read directory only - by commenting out sendfile, createfile and deletefile) stops after displaying that "AT" command was sent (first step in code). Any help how to retrieve .vxd from internal flash disk or how to dump such disk would be appreciated. Profit - you're gonna have watch face with working date and weekday.
Best regards, Dawid Łękawski aka rud0lf.
Edit: I tried all the options, and with "PS config" set to "USB port" modem is visible as single "/dev/ttyACM0", under USB list as "0e8d:0003 MediaTek Inc. MT6227 phone" and responds on second command:
> send: AT+ESUO=3
> +CME ERROR: 100
Hello,
I bought the android box 12 T95MAX H618, the box boot looped when I received it (it turns on and after 5 seconds restarts).
I managed to get the stock firmware and I reflash it with Pheonix card, but it continues, if I unplug the box or leave it off for more than 5 seconds it boots in a loop.
I tried to connect the ox to the pc with phoenix suit and phoenix USB pro but they do not detect my box, while in windows it detects the box but marks me as an unknown device.
Do you have a solution to stop restarting in a loop?
which Android version? can you show pictures of the tvbox?

the T95MAX runs on android 12, and here is a photo of the model.
and the stock firmware link: https://mega.nz/file/Vpsl1RQQ#pwUFrrZOGTgvzjoUpuoOHiO9dG3UkwWRB5V7bBDaDVU
I can't connect the box to the pc, I use a usb A -> usb A cable.
1 I connect the usb port on the pc but not the boxing and I disconnect all the other cables.
2 I keep pressing the reset button in the AV port
3 I connect the usb port on the box
I hear a sound like what the box are plug and in the device manager I see this:
"Unknown USB device: Device descriptor request failed"
Everything I tried but didn't work.
- Connected turn on usb debugging mode
-All the usb ports of the pc
-Install drivers
Do you have a solution I'm desperate

first thing you need plugin your box again to the computer, then you need to start to remove all unknown usb devices from your device manager, you may need to click on "view > show hidden devices" in device manager to see all unknown usb devices, remove them all, then disconnect your box.
if you have anything in your programs related to drivers for your box, uninstall them before you plug the box back in.
if this is a desktop computer, try to avoid front usb ports if possible.
if you have a second A-A USB cable, test with that if possible.
now before you plugin your box, you need to install the correct drivers, normally the manufacturer or your supplier can give you those, don't download any random T95Max drivers online because there are at least 3 different models of T95Max tvboxes as far as I know, and yours is a newer model.
after installing the drivers, then follow these steps exactly:
- unplug all cables from the tvbox
- plug in one end of the USB cable to the computer only
- have the firmware flashing software open
- press and hold the reset button which is usually placed inside the AV port in most boxes
- while holding the reset button, plugin only the USB cable, then release the reset button
if it's detected correctly, you can move on with the rest of the steps, if it's not detected, then unplug it and repeat the steps but this time plug the USB cable to a different port on the tv box, because not all ports support firmware flashing.
- i'm sure you know the remaining steps since you have the firmware and probably the software for flashing the firmware.
if you try all ports on the tv box and still not working, I would probably still try on a different computer, if that fails as well, then all I could say it might be a defective box, you could maybe try the sdcard method if possible on your tv box, or contact the supplier where you got it from
good luck

My friend, this exactly means it's the drivers aren't installed, that's why I sent you the steps you need to follow.
Also you can't say it's well detected if it shows unknown usb device in control panel, hearing your computer making a ding sound doesn't always mean it's a good thing
I bought this same exact box, but my issue has been not being able to install Teamviewer QS nor the Host file. I downloaded that stock firmware image and tried burning it onto a microSD card, but I kept getting failed to load error. After doing further research, it turns out you need to install MS Visual C++ Redistributal Runtimes. I downloaded the all in one file which installs all the Redistributal files.
Then using PhoenixCard Tool (v4.24), I burned the image onto the microSD card. BTW, when the process is done, you'll see many partitions were created on the card. I unplugged the power to the box, popped in the microSD card, plugged the power back in and upgrade process automatically started. It booted back up, screen loaded up all the software and all was running. Teamviewer apps still won't run though.
I wish there was a way to downgrade to Android 11, 10, or even 9. Good luck!
