Hi friends
Today I'm going to help you in unlocking the bootloader officially...
Many of us(including me) had problems in unlocking the bootloader...
It used to get stuck at 50 percent..
I had the same problem....
But here's what I did to unlock my bootloader....
Prerequisites:
1) MIUI 7.2.1 6 global beta ROM
2)mi unlock permissions on your mi account
3)Mi unlock tool
4)adb drivers
And of course RN4
Procedure:
First of all download global beta ROM from
http://en.miui.com/extra.php?mod=rom/download&r=309&mobile=no#468
It's a recovery ROM so flash it using updater app...
It will WIPE all of your internal storage so take a backup beforehand...
After flashing the beta ROM login using the same account where you've got the unlocking permission on your phone...
Now enable developer options and select USB debugging and OEM unlock
Now install the adb drivers on your pc from here
http://xiaomitips.com/download/adb-setup-v1-4-3/
After installing adb drivers download mi unlock tool from here http://en.miui.com/thread-204866-1-1.html
IMPORTANT
Now If you are using Windows 8 and above, disable the driver signature verfication on your PC... Its easy just Google it...
Now enter your RN4 into fastboot mode by pressing volume down and power button after switching off your phone...
Open MI unlock tool and login using the same account that is present on your phone..
NOTE: Dont use usb tethering of your RN4 phone for logging in to the MI unlock tool...it may result in you losing your unlocking permission... I dont know if its a bug or something but it happened twice with me when I used my RN4 for usb tethering...
I may be wrong but its always good to be on the safer side
Now MI tool will check if your account has the unlocking permissions....
If it does then it will tell you to connect your phone to pc...
Connect it using USB cable in fastboot mode....
Wait for a few seconds as the drivers will be installing on your pc...
When the drivers are installed A "Connected" message will be displayed...
Now we are good to go...
Just press on unlock option...
Now If you followed all the steps carefully and also if you are lucky, your bootloader will be unlocked...
the process may take upto 10-15 seconds
IF IT STILL DOESNT UNLOCKS,
Switch on your phone and enable find device on your phone....
Go to i.mi.com and login to your MI account
click on find device option...
Enable data connection on your phone...
Now click on your device on find device page....
It will start locating your device...
once it is located properly try to unlock your bootloader again using MI unlock tool...
IF IT STILL DOESNT UNLOCKS,
then try again after 7 days...
because PATIENCE IS BITTER,BUT THE FRUIT IS SWEET!!!
Precautions/Notes:
1) I flashed Global Beta ROM because l was unable to unlock my bootloader on Global Stable version... First try in Global stable again after 4-5 days before flashing a Beta ROM...
2)I unlocked my bootloader on the same day I flashed the Beta ROM....If you are unable to unlock then use the Beta ROM for atleast 2-3 days then try again....
3)You may use older versions of MI unlock tool if the latest tool doesnt unlock your device... I also used an older version of MI unlock tool...
4)Dont forget to disable the driver signature verfication on your pc if you are using Windows 8 and above..
5)Also check if adb drivers are installed properly;to do so connect the phone in fastboot mode, open the command window and type "adb devices" without (" ") this.. if your phone is displayed it means adb drivers are installed properly... usually the phone name will be something like 0147BDD and so on.... it will be a colection of numbers and alphabets... every device has a unique id..
if your phone is not displayed then uninstall and reinstall adb drivers....
Please note that this method has worked for me but MAY or MAY NOT work for you...
P.S. Sorry if the thread is too BIG
I hope that your bootloader will be unlocked after following these steps :good:
ALL THE BEST Fellow MIUIans :good:

Sorry bro I didn't get your question...
Please be more specific....
I've been trying almost everything for days. When I turn on the phone the bootloader enters in a loop.
I can't access to recovery (vol up + power), not even in update mode(vol up & vol down + power).
The only thing I can access is the fastboot but my phone is locked and I don't the have the imei to unlock via calculator or the oficial huawei page.
If someone have any suggestions.

If getting your IMEI is your only concern then you can get that from the box... But you'll need Product ID too, and for that you'll need to have your phone booted up...

I downloaded the official ROM from huawei and is the recent version but when I tried to install it with "fastboot update file.zip" is asking for an android-text.txt and I been searching to re-create that file manually and then is asking for another file and so on.
I've been searching if I can install the oficcial ROM by fastboot even if is not unlocked and find this guide but it is not usefull for me 'cause I can't access into the download mode or use adb.
This is the information I could extract from my phone.
Firmware : ALE-L21C109B130
I couldn't fint this version of firmware.
If you could light my way if you have another method.

Ok i searched for ways to find an IMEI number and found couple of ways...
1) Look under/in the sim tray. It may be there (I didn't check this out)
2) Find the IMEI/MEID using Google Dashboard. This is Google's control center that can be accessed from any computer with a web browser. You will need to log in with the Google account associated with your Android phone. You can access Google Dashboard by visiting www.google.com/settings/dashboard Expand the "Android" section by clicking the "Android" heading.Locate your phone in the list. If you have multiple devices associated with your account, all of the devices will be displayed. Find the device that you are trying to retrieve the IMEI/MEID number for. (This works)
3) At last, you can try to remove the back case and remove the battery. This can help you in 2 ways. Firstly, there should be IMEI code present under the battery. Secondly, this may cause you to get out of bootloop

Stupid question but I will ask it anyway did you md5 check all of the files you have downloaded as I have had issues with another device and it was because of bad files
1- Unlock the bootloader
2- Install the usb driver of qualcomm
3- Turn off the phone in fastboot mode and give the command [fastboot oem edl]
the cell phone will turn off the screen. Wait for the computer to recognize the phone
4 - With the cell phone still connected on the computer, download the file ( http://bit.ly/2GSY9Hk ) extract and run the xiaomi_a1_blok_silme_EDL wait to finish.
5- Download the nougat rom of August 7.8.23_7.1 ( http://bit.ly/2oxybSH ) extract it and flash the miflash
6- After flashing the rom, unlock the bootloader again.
7- Download RB Soft ( http://bit.ly/2t2s1yB )
Open RB soft, click on login, on the "qualcomm" tab and place your imei1 and imei2 and put this file in "QCN"
Then click "REPAIR".
Go back to the RB Soft folder and look for the file "injected.qcn", you will use it in the QPST.
8- On your mobile phone, dial *#*#717717#*#* then connect to your computer (put in developer and debug mode).
9- Download and install QPST 2.7 build 422 Qfil ( http://bit.ly/2F8gToZ ) Then open the qpst configuration, it has to be like this ( https://ibb.co/mXUOLc ).
Then go to Starts Client / Software Download. Click the "restore" tab.
In "QCN File" look for the file "injected.qcn" that you had created before, click "start" and you're done. After you're done, restart your phone.
READY, CELLPHONE WITH IMEI.

Try to format data in twrp or stock recovery.
If it does not work flash an android 8.0 or Nougat ROM. Do not lock the bootloader.
Let me guess. From Pie to Oreo or Nougat?

if you can boot to fastboot try to flash stock pie 10.0.4.0 with miflash, after that your device should be able to boot, than unlock OEM and bootloader and downgrade to what version you want

reward is cancelled from this point on i will reward the one who helped me so far tho. still working on solving the problem so winner has not been decided yet.
you don't understand.
There are no winners and no loosers.
You are free to donate to anyone you want, but your post boost and encourages a bad attitude.
If people start to solve only paid problems, the spirit of the community will be destroyed.
The problem is with the Pie specific partition table
I write the whole guide from memory, so it can differ a bit.... I skipped some steps ( erasing, reboot, fastboot mode, TWRP loading via fastboot, OEM unlock )
From previous writings I think you can know the skipped steps.
Keep in mind: It is dangerous, you can loose your IMEI ( it will only work again with Pie - or there are some writings at forum how can you manually change it. ).
Steps:
1 - Backup with TWRP (fastboot) efs, persist, modem & make copy to your computer and or to your cloud provider.
2 - Create a new folder in Internal Storage -> TWRP -> BACKUP -> With a new date directory ( the backup already made one, make a new folder, with different date )
3 - Download someone's older TWRP backup from xda (I cheated, I copied the following links ) :
(I'm still a new user, so can't directly write url's )
Mediafire : https COLON SLASH SLASH bit.ly SLASH 2QU5NtC
Mirror: Google Drive : https COLON SLASH SLASH bit.ly SLASH 2UN1DTo
4 - Unpack, and copy EFS to the folder created 2 point
5 - Fastboot TWRP -> Restore EFS
6 - Flash the Official latest firmware from en.miui.com ( If you want to make sure go with EDL mode )
7 - Now, the IMEI & Mac addresses are missing. Don't panic! Download update with System Updates.
8 - When you are on Pie again, restore your first TWRP (fastboot) persist partition
9 - One more System restore
At this time, you will have IMEI & Mac addressees, and hopefully a working phone.
Hope this helps. The same thing happened with me 2 weeks ago. This is how I solves it.
Thank you, I solved it yesterday. Hopefully this post will come in handy for other people!

Try S-Unlock. I was stuck in EDL mode a couple of weeks back. Those guys fixed it remotely.
Cost me 15 USD I think.
Good luck mate!

Aynı problemim var. Yardım edebilecek biri var mı? EDL modundayım, sadece yetkili hesaba ihtiyacım var. Herhangi biri teamwiever'e yardım edebilir mi?
MOD EDIT: Please post only in English according to the FORUM RULES,translation added below:
I have the same problem. I'm in EDL mode, I just need an authorized account.
Use QFIL tool
Hi, you can use Qualcomm Flash Image Loader (QFIL) to flash your hard bricked phone. You need a modified no authentication programmer firehose file for your K20 which is not available but for K20 pro it is available(I googled tens of times). Can anyone here upload the modified firehose prog file for K20 or mi 9t? Or share the guidelines for modifying firehose prog file for no authentication?

After extensive googling I found that the firehose file for our device is "prog_ufs_firehose_Sdm730_ddr_davinci_sig_rb1.elf"
Google gave few links where the file can be download. I think, I can't post them here as one has to pay to download those files. Perhaps the device is still new and the file not yet freely available online.
Good job bro!

Thanks for the file name bro. I finally found "prog_ufs_firehose_Sdm730_ddr_davinci_sig_rb1.elf" for free and still cannot flash using QFIL or QPST. Can mi 9t be flashed with only miflash due to EDL lockdown on xiaomi mobiles(I am stuck on 9008 mode)?
I also tried renaming and copying the modified firehose in the fastboot rom folder and miflash is saying programmer transfer error.
I also contacted authorized mi service center near me and they are saying they have to replace my motherboard (my warranty is lost due to opening of my back cover)and they do not have EDL authorization (which is level 3 they said to me)?

I'm at ignorance about QFIL or QPST compatibility with our device. This provides a list of alternative tools to try if that two fails.
If your motherboard is dead, then no flashing will work.
If I may, would you like to share the link where you found the firehose for free?

Its my pleasure to help you and here is the link:
https://mega.nz/file/f0kBFbKC#stsdUiLg7TF5dTnt11_hBPsBCu2XnA0pq_vkvUeF6hk
You can find our firehose file in the qualcomm folder.
If the link is not working you can google "android for ufs(t) 1.0.6.0" and download it.
Your alternative tools link is redirecting to qfil download. Can you revise the link or share the names here please.

Thanks, I tried all these and found the modified programmers are not exactly for my device and realized that service centre is the only way(without exact no auth programmer).
I approached an mi authorized service centre and I am allowed to get inside (they are unaware of 9008 mode) and get my flashing done with EDL authorized account. Thanks to all.

Your phone is Mi 9T (davinci) or a different one?
However, glad you finally got your device fixed.
