how to keep reverse camera? how to install external microphone - Android Head-Units

hello
I want to buy this head unit for my toyota. ( https://pt.aliexpress.com/item/3303...&terminal_id=c11bb0d4f974459aadcf038196f97bf8 )
I need to know a few things before I buy...
how is the voice quality during calls, and can I install an external microphone.
can I use my stock reverse camera with this radio. (maybe with an adapter )
I want to install a front camera (from bumper, for when I am parking)
do you know is steering wheel control function?
btw some higher end head units have a usb and mic adapter. I think I can install a external mic through there but I don't find the adapter in the internet ( see wiring photos. read number 2. adapter usb + mic) https://www.seicane.com/android-201...screen-4g-wifi-dab-tpms-dab-dvr-obdii-s169208)

Not sure about the Seicane, but most Android HU has mediocre built-in mic for handsfree. It does not filter out noise so the factory keeps the gain low resulting in soft human voice and louder car noise. It’s a tricky acoustic problems. Adding external mic is easy as plugging in a 3.5mm jack, if your model comes with a mic jack.
Factory backup camera, steering wheel, etc works fine in my toyota. But make sure you communicate with your seller. They should ask your car model and will provide you the right wires. But double check and make sure.
I install a USB dashcam, and it works with the built-in dashcam app. Parking assist camera seems to require specific wiring it can be a hit or miss. I tried installing my dashcam, and configuring it as a front camera, but it doesn’t work even after I work the settings to activate camera reverse.

Android Head Unit + Pioneer DEH-PRS80

Hello everybody , I'm owner of Ownice C200 Chinese head unit and i hate about audio quality and Bluetooth. I was using Behringer UCA 202 Usb dac but few months ago it stopped to work. Dac working with other devices but with head unit it is not working. When i use USB audio player, I can hear sound via headphone but from stock car speaker , no sound. For this i bought line converter to connect directly RCA from USB dac, but then i learned it need amplifier to power speakers. ( if i am wrong , please correct me)
I search a lot of topics in XDA and i saw one message using two head unit in car but there is no more information. I want absolutely same things. I want to use Pioneer deh-prs80 ( i will hide it somewhere in car) and will continue to use Android head unit for navigation, watching movies, rear view camera purpose. Is it really possibly ? I don't want to install any amplifier to my car, i don't need loud music, i just need clear and crystal music. I have hertz esk 165.5l as speaker.
If it's possible how will be connection ? Car battery enough to make power for both head unit ? ( i will connect speaker wire to directly pioneer) , is it possible to connect android head unit to pioneer via aux or Bluetooth or what ? I wish when i use android head unit, sound will go to pioneer and this head unit amplifier to speaker quality sound.
I also wonder if it is possible can be sound quality difference playing directly from pioneer or through android head unit to pioneer ?
I hope this topic will help to people who suffer from audio quality expect other features in android head unit..
Nobody can help ?
Well I would connect it via Y Splitter and the Front RCA out on the HU would go to the AUX in the Pioneer deck and connect your bluetooth to the Pioneer HU instead of the Android. You would have to zero out the sound from the Android and adjust your EQ settings from the Pioneer to get the best quality needed.

Joying Intel Unit - No Bluetooth Audio from phone

Hi. I just received a brand new out the box replacement Headunit from Joying and Im fearing its brand new defective. When I pair my phone to the device and try to make a phone call, the entire call (both inbound and outbound) is completely mute. There's no audio and I cannot hear anything on the call. When I switch the audio source back to my phone even while on the call I can hear everything fine. I checked my bluetooth settings on my cell phone and they all seemed okay. Phone Audio is enabled, likewise Media. I rebooted, unpaired and re-paired both my phone and head unit. Nothing works... I cannot hear what the other party is saying.
Music and videos all work fine, however; I ALSO cannot hear the touch button input when I touch the screen like I could on my older unit. What happened?
Im worried the MCU might be bad.
Please check whether you have connected the external microphone well, you can check this blog:https://www.joyingauto.com/blog/post/how-to-test-and-check-mic-issue-for-joying-android-head-unit/

Hi, the issue isn't the microphone, I am unable to hear any audio from the call itself which means I can't hear who I am talking to. This is different from the issue where no one can hear me. I tried even with the external microphone completely disconnected and got the same results.
One thing noted from that blog is checking the speaker wire, I'm using the same radio harness as I was using on my older defective 6021 motherboard and the one before that. I compared the coloring on the wiring harness and pinouts on the connector and they look exactly the same so I don't believe its a speaker wire issue either. When I play regular my front speakers work fine.
I am noticing that the equilizer seems to think my front right speakers are my front left and it thinks my front left speakers are my front right. The back speakers seem to be configured properly (when I select back audio only plays out the back, when I go front right audio plays out the front left, and vice versa.) I checked the wiring and the front right and properly connected to the front right wires, as are the front left and so forth... I went and redid the entire radio harness (which worked fine for 2 Joying Sofia Intel units before this one.) and it did not help. Also still no bluetooth phone calls. bluetooth AUDIO works fine but when I make a bluetooth phone call, it is COMPLETELY mute on both ends. I can't hear them and they can't hear me, regardless if the mic is connected or not.

I took the car to work today and had two additional people test their phones on the unit but we replicated the same issue. One was an iPhone and the other was an Android. While they can play bluetooth music through the unit, bluetooth phone is still completely mute, even with the external mic connected. We tried with the AMP setting configured to "IN" as well but it made no difference. I am still not getting any audio from my phone to the stereo.
I am certain all the wiring is correct. I am using a METRA adapter to my car stereo which splices into the Joying unit and it has worked fine on all previous Joying units. The Metra Harness follows the same universal stereo wiring code (white and white black / grey and grey black are front speakers) and connects to my car's factory harness. Also in the equilizer settings, although left and right audio is incorrect, front and rear audio is functioning properly. If I select only rear, only rear speakers play and if I select only front.. only front speakers play.
Did you fix it?

Use External Wired Mic for audio input and Bluetooth speaker for audio out

Hello,
As per the subject matter, I read about how to use Google Assistant on an android mobile/tablet instead of a separate smart speaker (Google Home/Mini). The functionality would be more or less similar with some exceptions with both the options. (comparisons are available around on different sites). Dont want to use the internal device mic/speaker, so looking for options for hooking up external mic/speakers.
[1]I was thinking of a setup to have an external wired mic hooked up to the tablet as being more sensitive to capture a wide area. I know I have to use a TRS to TRRS adapter to be able to hook up only a mic to the headphone jack on any standard android device. I believe android would still detect it as a headset (with microphone and speakers). I have an Audio-Technica ATR-4697 boundary mic which I intend to use for the purpose.
[2]For the audio output I am thinking of hooking up a Bluetooth speaker (always connected on charging) making it sort of a DIY smart speaker.
Can someone please inform if they have done a similar setup and how successful was it , and what are the main problems and not working functions.
One problem I can foresee is that due to point no.1 , the android will try to route the audio via the headphone jack, which would only have a mic connected.
I believe this can be forcefully redirected using the SoundAbout app, will it work.
Or else I can try to get a Y Splitter cable hooked to the headphone jack and connect both a wired mic and a wired AUX in speaker for the purpose. Not sure whether the Y splitter cable would have the same TRRS 3.5mm comaptible pin to hook up to the mobile head jack.
Any thoughts, guidance, product links would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Hmm...no noise as such...maybe i would try myself and would post the results. In the process of gathering stuff and hunting time slot to get at it.

ATOTO A6 Dashcam audio solution?

Hi all,
I recently installed an ATOTO A6 head unit and accessory Dashcam and am happy with it overall, however I was a bit disappointed when reviewing the video that there is no sound. The stock DVR app is very basic, with very little in the way of controls besides clip duration and auto-record. It works fine, but I'm wondering if there is a way to use the external mic to record audio as well. Sound could be an important piece of evidence in the event of an accident or interactions with someone that might lead to a legal proceeding. I'll be sending a feature request to ATOTO that they include an audio option in their upcoming software updates, I imagine it wouldn't be that hard to add audio and give mic priority to the phone during calls. Are any of you aware of a DVR app for Android that includes audio recording?
(on a side note, I hooked up my existing backup camera to the A6 and while it works the picture is sort of grainy and seems to have some noise that wasn't there on my old Kenwood that I replaced with the A6 after it's radio quit working, the instructions for the A6 include a note about using a diode and resistor (? I think) in case of interference, which I'll probably try, any of you A6 people had a similar issue?) )

Buzz sound help

Hey guys. I have a Joying headunit and recently i was on a call via bluetooth and the other person said they can here buzz sound so I decided to do some test and started voice recording on the headunit and found out that when car parking lights or headlights are on, it records that buzz sound. Lights off and the sound is gone. Anyone would know, why?
Wen you say you were on a call with BT, can you clarify what you mean. You had a bluetooth headset on in your car connected to your HU? Your HU was getting getting phone call how? Also BT? to you phone? Or you mean your HU was BT to your phone but you were using the HU mic? If your sing BT headset that seems odd and more likely an issue with your headset. IF however you mean you were using BT to connect phone to HU(aka handsfree) and you were using the HU mic(or external mic) welcome to the chinese head unit party. The mics and the internal components are poorly shielded from engine and other electronic noise. Only thing you can really do is buy a better external mic and see if it helps.

That's typically from too much power draw in your cars electrical system. Which can also mean you have some poor grounding. It doesn't hurt to start adding ground straps all around the car. Ground battery to chassis, ground block with ground of battery, ground body with block etc. Inside the car behind the head unit, you can ground your ground wire with a T connection to somewhere metal in the dash. That will help with the buzzing sound while your lights are on and functioning.
well if he's talking about sound on a bt headset, that's something very different, but I assume he meant standard hands free.
