Hey DG, here you go:
https://market.android.com/details?...oid.CircleBatteryWidget&feature=search_result
1% battery widget.
Great find.....THANKS
It does display in 1% increments but now I'm wondering how the stock 10% increment system works. My other widget shows 40% when I'm at 39% on this circular widget. If the circular widget is correct, then that brings up the question of when the 10% increments actually change.
my guess is that the widget is cheating and just estimating it until it actually receives the 10% drop. still useful
Just made the "sacrifice" of wasting battery to figure it out. The 10% increment changed from 40 to 30 when the circular widget changed from 35 to 34. Still leaves the option that the circular widget is just estimating, but it could be accurate...
Edit: It's consistent... 25 to 24 was the change from 30 to 20.
Doesn't display in 1% increments on my phone for some reason.
That's weird... can't imagine why it wouldn't work for you as well. Have you tried rebooting?
Off topic: Do you own a B5 S4, EvilEvo?
Back on topic: I've been watching as my battery lowers and it at least appears to be accurate. I'd definitely like to see confirmation on whether or not the hardware is limited to 10% increments.

from what designgears said, it is indeed a hardware limitation. that's why i said the program must be "cheating" and estimating the battery drop depending on use, since it cannot get a proper hardware read.
i use the fancy widget to display the clock and weather but in the setting i also enable it to show battery life as well and it shows by 1% increment.
its a cheater app.. sorta like the abttery calibration that we used to do on the epic...
you charge to full wipe stats let it fully drain then fully charge
then the app knows the rough approximation of the time and keeps track itself instead of relying on the phone/battery to tell it.
thers a few battery apps that behave this way

If you let your battery get below 20%, it starts reading in 5% intervals. Not sure why it would do that and not be able to do that elsewhere.

NVM, it didn't work at work at first, i guess the battery might have legit been at 50% haha. And yes I do, and use the same name on AZ and Vortex.

That's what I'm thinking, or at least wondering about. It seems odd that they would design the hardware to measure in 10% intervals until the last 20%. I can't imagine the ability to do 5% intervals the whole time would be much more complicated or expensive to work into the design.

Haha, ya. I recognized your name too.
I think it can be figured out. I'm not knowledgable enough in it, but I would look into however it displays or calculates the battery below 20%.
I've been using several different 7.1.2 roms and battery life has been atrocious. I use wingoku 4.1.
I pair my smart watch to it but even when I use wifi (no bt) its bad, draining quickly, last checked about 22% per hr. Even with screen off listening to podcasts it still will drop a lot more than it used to.
I really don't have much in terms of stats. Honestly I don't obsess much about it normally but now its noticable.
Aside from suggesting another rom & kernel, would I benefit from formatting data and starting over?

Install accubattery and run it though a few charge cycles, it will be able to tell you the life left in your battery, it's possible that you have the same issue many of us have had with a degradation of the battery.

Yea. Thats my biggest fear. Ive replaced small parts before but my eyesight isn't as good as it used to be so Im afraid I might mess it up. Plus I'll need to buy a heat gun.
I'll be more than a little pissed if the battery's shot. This phone is barely 14 months old. Either give us a decent battery or make it replaceable.
Thanks for the info btw. I just installed the app.
Update--Im switching things up a bit. Recently I made some changes and this time I flashed a new rom without some of those changes.
1. I had switched from Action 3 to Nova
*HIGHLY doubt nova is eating up my battery so Im still using it BUT I did remove a widget that has weather. Since I keep phone on device only location, I think theres a chance its always trying to find my locale and consuming battery.
2. I didn't add a gov profile yet.
3. This is the first time in about 4 or 5 rom flashes I didnt flash CTT Mod.
* Again I doubt this is causing battery issues but Im gonna hold off flashing it. No throttling thus far.
As suggested Ill be monitoring with accubattery for a few cycles. But been using my phone about 90 mins this morning (at least 90% of that time actively using with screen on) and I've lost 13%--a huge improvement from yesterday.

Accubattery for the proof. New battery for the fix. You could always buy online and have it installed locally. Read up on where to score a good replacement battery, rather than another dud.

Best to let it run below 20% at least and then fully charge until the APP tells you the battery is full- not your phone. Don't unplug until Accubattery says it is full. What you will observe is that the phone will continue to charge for 45 minutes to an hour past when the phone itself is reporting 100%. You will find the estimated capacity under the Health tab. Once or twice below 20% is enough to get a close approximation. After that it will move a couple percent max. You will know soon enough.

Well it turns out my battery is in need of replacing.
I let it run down like you said. I was going to go further down but once it hit 20% my phone turned off. I plugged it in, opened accubattery and it said 46% under health.
But I just checked again after charging to 100% and it now says 63% (2182 mAh total capacity).
I checked my imei on the Huawei site and my phone is 3 days out of warranty. Im hoping to get them to fix it.

Well sorry to hear that. Good luck to you on the RMA route. If not, the Cameron Sino brand replacement is a bit more expensive but includes a working battery temperature sensor. It will make your phone like new. Note in the thread I referenced above, some parts may get scratched/cracked depending on the skill of the repair person. They aren't expensive so it you are intending to keep the 6P for a while longer, it may be worth it to buy those just in case.

Thanks for the support! I checked that thread and didn't see specific parts (inexpensive ones you referenced) If they're listed Ill look again. It doesn't seem too daunting. I was able to replace the screen on my son's WiU controller. Those were very tiny parts and YES--I did snap off a clip, however I was able to fudge it and it's still working about a year later.
Far as RMA, does anyone know if they replace it with the same crappy stock battery? From my perspective this seems like a clear case where a recall is in order.
But if its the same battery, Im just setting myself up for the same problems 8 to 12 months from now. Even if I buy a new phone Id still want to sell this one and thats not as easy with a crap battery. Plus theyd have my phone for x days so Id need to find a temp phone in the meantime.
Don't mean to jabber on...this sucks.
Oh yeah...cuz it was after hours I sent an email to support last night. Do you think Ill get a response? Or should I just call when I have time to be on hold?
Spoke to a clone at Huawei then asked to speak to the clone's supervisor (wasn't sure if clones had supervisors--they do. But the programming is identical.) Long frustrating phone call and they aren't going to replace my battery because its out of warranty...by 4 f#@&ing days!
I told them they lost a customer for life and I was being 100% sincere. How could I ever buy from people who thinks it ok to sell defective crap, know about it, then do nothing to make things right?
I'm gonna replace the battery on my own. Whether things go good or terrible, one thing is certain--itll be the last time I ever replace anything on any product made by Huawei.
Hi all, I'm just wandering if is there any way to check battery health ? an app or something.
Tried several apps on Playstore and all say that my battery health is good, but I'm having a battery drain and shut down from 25%.
thx in advance.
Try Accubattery, it showed the issue with mine when it was doing similar before Google replaced it.

AccuBattery shows 90% health for my battery, but still i get only 2.5hrs - 3 hrs Sceen-On Time with apps greenified and Aggressive Doze On. If you remember the details, would you mind sharing them here?
Mine was down at something like 30% just before it was replaced. Now its at 104% and I get 4-5 hours of screen on time.
Now just using stock Oreo as no need for root at the moment.

Interesting. I made the mistake of charging overnight at first. I only realised a while later that it only took 1 hour 45 or so to fully charge, so now I charge when I wake in the morning. Overcharging is supposed to be the main cause of battery depreciation.
When I first installed Accubattery I was at 91%, that was the end of June, don't think I'm doing too bad.

Like every Nexus phone I've owned ... since the Galaxy, I have left the phone on the charger 24/7. All day, all night. I take it off when i leave the house/office and sometimes it stays on the (stock) charger for days. The N6P has a high number of defective batteries, but that shouldn't change your daily charging habits. In other words don't change charging habits if the one device you have has a defective or sub-par battery. Put a new battery in and carry on. We have 3 N6P's in the family and they are all still above 90% according to Accubattery... Guess we are lucky.
As usual, BetterBatteryStats and Gsam Battery Monitor are among the first apps that I install on my new devices and I often use them to check what apps are eating my battery. The two apps worked perfectly on my non-rooted S9+ running OneUI (Android Pie) with some extra adb commands, but on this S10+ they both don't work; BBS says "No stats have been collected yet", GSam is laggy, only shows the %1, %0... and drains my battery like hell during screen off (4-5%/hour).
So has anyone succeeded in making any of the two apps work? Or are you using another app with the same function?
Thanks for opening this thread. Yes, I am having the exactly same experience like you.
I am experincing the exact same thing!
Thought I was going mental.
I'm running AccuBattery and CPU spy reloaded, both apps report that my phone never goes to deep sleep, but I can't define what causes it
The actual values seem to be fine, though. Mine uses under 1 percent per hour over night after disabling the sonos app - it is a disgrace ever since. Exynos, 512GB S9+.
I'm running accubattery and in my case it DOES register deep sleep. So the lack of feel sleep for some might be caused by another issue that actually blocks the phone from deep sleeping

I had this same issue, and I uninstall accubattery, install it again, and reset the battery calibration reading using that code after I cleaned system cache on recovery *#0228#, yesterday I decided to turn the device off as I though my battery was going full crazy downhill drainingtown (joke) and turn it on, left it on airplane mode overnight with bluetooth on, and it has not stabilise and accubattery does report deep sleep. Also I check the battery every 2-3 hours to see how is the drain. Running since 5 am european time at 34% now at 11% and it is 11:45 AM european time as I write this post

If it's based on charging from like 60 to 100, or 25-85 % and so on, it will only show you some rough estimates, far from real capacity possibly. 1-100 % charges are far more accurate. For what i see, Samsung is bullshiting with the 4100mAh capacity, or controller software is limiting it to about 3700-3800 regions. In the menu it clearly says- 4100 typical and 4000 minimum capacity...

Don't forget the basic li-ion battery rules, one of them is that at least 5% of your total charge will be kept as reserve in case of overdraining, about 200mAh of your battery in this case are there to keep your battery rechargable, every battery powered device works like that, no need to accuse Samsung of anything regarding that aspect.

Sure...but i messured 3500 mAh on phone turned off...bit too much of a difference, hm? On the other hand, messuring iPhone 8 gave me almost exactly what was stated , the same with 20000mAh powerbank, messured even bit more...so i'd just encourage others to test and compare. 3h20min SoT also seems weak tbh...
Hello all,
I was curious to see what is my current battery capacity since I see a huge decline in my SOT since couple week.
As you all know the phone should have a 3700 mah but after using the application accubattery pro I see that I have only 3300 mah.
Is there any one with the same doubt? Should I use a different application to see this value.
I don't have root in my phone so please advise me on applications that don't need root.

Nothing to worry about. https://photos.app.goo.gl/jnk1kn76SfGk173a8 this was my first charge with this phone from 0 to 100% (overnight) until the phome didn't draw anymore current. I use this to compare when I have the feeling that my battery is dying.
I would search your drain else where. Dolby Atmos Magisk module was a big one for me.
Also I do agree. I used to get 6hrs SoT over 24-36 hours and now that has decreased. I'm not charging my phone every 2 days anymore but every day now.

Welcome to the phone world. Get rid of unnecessary apps is all you can do. Perhaps a factory reset but a RMA or replacement of the battery isn't going to help. Just enjoy your phone and charge it when you want.

I am not sure how accurate this app is - especially with OnePlus devices. I have used it on my last 3 phones, all OnePlus devices, and it has never given me what I consider an accurate reading of the my true estimated capacity. It's always less, sometime considerably off from the "Design Capacity". I just got the 6T and my estimated capacity is almost the same as yours.
Hope this helps.
