Hey Guys!
I decrypted my SD card on my Samsung Galaxy A9. Tried to unlock bootloader which required the phone to factory reset and I forgot to decrypt my card before reset.
Now the phone isn't allowing to decrypt the card. Tried a couple of methods online to fix it but didn't help. Is there any option to decrypt the data over PC or any other means to fix it?

Hello,
I have an i337 that is PIN locked and unfortunately the owner has passed away. The family of the owner has asked me if I am able to retrieve the pictures off of the device for them, but they do not know the PIN. Sadly, there is not an SD card, nor a Google account (I can enter the password incorrectly indefinitely without being prompted), and I am unable to get any information by attaching it to my PC. As far as I am able to tell the phone is stock and not rooted. Booting into recovery shows me KOT49H.I337UCUFNC1. If there is any more information I can provide, I am unsure where to find it. I've done a few searches but haven't found anything that works for me. One of my thoughts was trying to find a rom to flash with Odin that doesn't wipe the internal SD card, but I can't seem to find one for this device, if such a thing even exists. If anyone has any experience bypassing a PIN without losing data or has any suggestions that would be of help in this particular situation I would be greatly appreciative.
Thanks,
Kylor R
Hi,
I used to encrypt my sd card on my nexus 4 few months ago. Since my last CM 11 update, I'm expecting some problems with sounds uring phone calls, which it appears to be related to internet connection, 3g or wifi : in fact, when I power on internet, there is no sound during calls ans people don't hear me either. I have to reboot the phoen every time.
So, I wanted to a factory reset, in order to totally clean my phone and install another custom ROM. But I saw people having some troubles when attempting to do it (SD Card refuses to mount on recovery interface, some phones bricked during other attempts).
My question is: is it possible to reset this phone with encrypted SD Card ? I'm sure there is a solution using ADB interface and a computer but I need to find the real working method which I didn't find either.
Thanks for your replies !
So, nobody at all knows anything about that ???
So my SD card (Samsung Pro plus 32GB) just got corrupted, I dont know how, but maybe from me flashing a new firmware or something.
whats broken here? I plugged the sd card to my PC and reformatted it and its still corrupted on my phone,
So is the SD card broken?, Phone hardware or software?
is there a fix?
thanks
EDIT:
SD card is 100% fine on my PC and TWRP recovery can detect it and I even managed to get a Nandroid backup saved to it through TWRP, whats going on?, but on Android it always shows up as SD card is corrupted.
NEVERMIND! I Reflashed the same XSA firmware and now SDCard works, its software side problem.!
Just unlocked bootloader and installed TWRP and root etc. on MXP all working.
SD card is now not seen by phone and not when connected to pc by cable. Card works in pc and moto g 2014.
Sandisk Extreme 32GB
I've searched but cannot find anything.
Thanks in advance.
Just tried connecting it using an OTG + adapter and it is recognized but still not when in the SD holder in the phone????

Still no fix. Factory data reset. Reformatted SD card to exFAT. Still not seen.????
Can't see this as a hardware problem. Please, anyone...

Phone sent to repairer in Manchester (UK) who said they could fix it; had it for nearly a month. Finally said it was not repairable. Sent it back boot looping and flat battery. I managed with fastboot to restore stock ROM then rooted again. So now it is as before, working correctly but no SD card recognition. The pins in the reader look unbent.
Do I give up on this?? Is there a software fix or command I can try? Mainboard damage?
It all seemed to happen when I unlocked rooted etc.

It seems like it's hardware problem that's is why it ain't recognized.
But Better trying more you should flash new row after clearing all cache / Dalvik cache etc and check it whether it works or not??
It still you face same problem try to repair your phone again through service Centre again may be luck by chance problem sortout or if not.
Better to give it up on it.

I have the same problem after putting the sdcard tray back in the wrong direction. Sdcard doesn't work since then because some pins in the tray are damaged and won't make contact anymore. I lost warranty and can live without, but you can try to fix it under warranty. Maybe they won't even notice you unlocked the bootloader.

Is it possible that rooting the phone made the SD card reader problem or just a coincidence?

don't restore flash the whole stock firmware again. see if it works.
That is what I did. Flashed the latest stock firmware. I didn't mean restore.
I have some trouble getting sim to work on galaxy s6 edge plus, but i'll start from the beggining..
A month ago, when everything was fine i did a full backup in twrp, and just in case partitions backup (everything but system and cache).
What i did was a full wipe in twrp and restore twrp backup (Havoc-OS-v3.12-20210125-zenlte-Unofficial) and that happened.
I disassembled the phone. I needed to change the battery anyway so i had a look at the sim slot. It seems to be fine - no broken pins, they are shiny as new.
Sim card is working in another phone, and no other sim card is working in this S6Edge+...
Next thing that came to my mind was installing stock rom via odin and checking if that helps which it did't.
When I insert Sim card i have popup prompting to reboot but after that it still can't see any sim..
