So I'm on stock aqh3 firmware but I am rooted with magisk and have notorious kernel installed. Even though I have magisk hide to hide Netflix I'm still getting that error 5.2, am I missing something here? On my s6 aslong as had magisk hide enabled it worked fine.
Magisk 14 here btw
Bump
Hi guys,
recently I installed LOS 14.1 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-4-prime/development/unofficial-lineageos-14-1-t3682512) and it's working almost perfect. I have used xposed together with LOS13 in the past. I did not encounter any problems with xposed on LOS13 but now on 14.1 no modules are being loaded. Obviously the status of xposed installer is ok (xposed framework version 88.1 is active) but no modules (like YouTube Adaway, XInsta or YouTube Background Playback) are working.
If I press on the module "YouTube AdAway" the message "YouTube AdAway v.3.6.1 is NOT active" appears. Of course did I check the box on the right and did a reboot of the phone.
Is there anything to consider to get the things done? I installed Magisk too, but I used the xposed installer from the play store.
Thanks in advance for your replies!
Cheers Andi
It depends on the module dev whether they will add support for Nougat. Like in GravityBox[MM] for Marshmallow, the dev also made a GravityBox[N] for Nougat. I think Youtube Adaway and Background Playback currently doesn't support Nougat, you just have to wait for dev to make support for it.
YouTube AdAway and Background Playback work fine for me as well as AdBlock Reborn and several others.
I was using Xposed on RR 5.8.5, Validus 15.1 and now on AEX 4.6. Some modules are not compatible with nougat but even if it's not compatible you shouldn't be getting message that the module is not active. It just doesn't work but gets activated.
I installed Xposed Framework through TWRP and for Xposed Installer apk I don't think it matters if it's PlayStore or downloaded.
edit: I did have some problems on Validus, can't remember what exactly, but then I used xposed uninstaller via TWRP and installed it again the same way through TWRP and it worked.
okay I did a complete uninstall in TWRP and reinstalled it ... but modules are still not active any other idea? I set su rights for xposed in Magisk ... and I also set the storage permissions for xposed.
Just to provide as many information as possible: my log is empty and I can't download modules directly within the app.
There is new Xposed Framework v88.2 released today and new Installer. Maybe you'll have better luck with this new version?
Anyway Xposed Installer doesn't need SU permissions to work if you flashed Framework through TWRP. Installer only needs SU for installing Framework and updating.
I just updated it through Installer and everything works just fine but usually TWRP installation is recommended.
thanks for the information. I will try 88.2 in a few days (just to be sure not to be an early adoptor )
thanks for your help guys. With 88.2 and Xposed Installer 3.1..4 everything works fine!
I recently loaded Magisk 14.4 and then installed Magisk Night Light + Prop Mod module. I know it has worked because I can run the Gcam. I have also loaded the Dolby Atmos equaliser module and that works.
The thing is I am not seeing anything in the Magisk Manager module screen. It says no modules are installed. Is this normal?
And if it is normal, how do I delete the module?
Try it again with the latest official beta 14.5 - completely uninstall Magisk from menu, install 14.5 from TWRP, set it up and install modules again. There was some incompatibility with Mi A1 and different Magisk and Magisk manager versions. Beta 14.5 with bundled Magisk manager seem to be working without any issues.

Hello everyone,
As you might have seen, Google Safetynet APIs have been updated. Since Official Magisk is using old API, when you try to pass Safetynet, it will automatically give you an error like " The response is invalid" or something like that.
So, in order to bypass this issue, I've been searching for a long time and I found a solution.
THIS WON'T WORK WITH XPOSED FRAMEWORK INSTALLED!!
1- Uninstall completely Magisk using official uninstaller.
2- Once the device rebooted, download and install latest unofficial Magisk Manager APK available on this page: https://github.com/ianmacd/MagiskBuilds?files=1
3- Open Magisk Manager and go to Magisk settings
4- Click on Update Channel and choose Custom
5- Insert this URL and click OK : https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ianmacd/MagiskBuilds/master/updates/ianmacd.json
6- Click on Clear Repo Cache
7- Return to Magisk Startpage and check for update
8- Install Unofficial Magisk 16.8
9- Once installation done, reboot your device
10- Go to Magisk Manager and check for Safetynet
If it passed, Congratulations, you're done.
If not, continue.
11- Download this Magisk Module : https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=5862345805528046758
12- Once downloaded, disconnect your phone from Internet (turn of the Wi-Fi, 4g, etc...). It's very important
13- Install the module using Magisk Manager and reboot
14- When reboot done, wait 5 minutes before turning on Internet connection
15- Go to Magisk Manager and check if Safetynet passed.
It should be working, it worked in my case.
Have tried on two devices:
- Leeco x626 with EUI ROM ( Cuoco) using the module
- Leeco x526 with MIUI 10 without the module
FOR EUI ROMs:
You could get an error saying you're using a modified software or something like this, after uninstalling old Magisk.
Do this :
- Download official Magisk uninstaller AND Unofficial Magisk 16.8 ZIP
- Reboot to TWRP Recovery
- Uninstall old Magisk using the uninstaller
DO NOT REBOOT
- Return to TWRP Home menu and install unofficial Magisk 16.8
- Reboot your device and it should be okay
Wow it worked. Thanks a lot bro.

Check if you don't have Xposed Framework installed, if yes uninstall it as it won't let the phone pass Safetynet check.

I don't think I have Xposed framework, unless it's hidden somewhere in my phone. How do I check for it? I know I have some root apps installed. Apps like es explorer, root explorer and browser, BusyBox, etal

I just did. I've uninstalled BusyBox and still the same thing. Problem still persist. Or should I just uninstall all my root apps, including root explorer, battery fix and the rest?
After updating magisk I managed to passed safetynet check, but it still wont allow me to launch Fate/Grand Order

First of all - read carefully everything about the aimed mod/s.
1. Magisk Manager for Recovery Mode (mm)
Afterwards - by choice:
YouTube Vanced - Magisk Repo, Universal GMS Doze, Riru - Core + Riru Edxpozed (for CustoMIUIzer and Exi for Swiftkey if you use it), Detach, Auto Detach, Energized Protection, FDE.AI, Busybox for Android NDK, Debloater (Terminal Emulator), this one and many more..
I don't know but I tried all viper 4 android in magisk but all of them caused fastboot which means system partition failed to boot
Nobody uses Viper4android on stock, android 9, MIUI 11?
27.1.0 apk will work

I do. Works great on Android 9, Android 10, MIUI 10 and 11. No problems at all. I use the Magisk Module by VIPER520, ZhuHang et al. which is updated quite often. Think it's the first one that comes up when you search for Viper.
