Hi,
Long time admirer of these forums but only recently joined / posted.
I just bought an ipega 9083S Bluetooth controller to use with my Nexus 7 (2012) and a few emulators. I can’t get the controller to show up at all when trying to pair. I was running stock 5.1.1 but tried downgrading to 4.4.4 and then again to 4.3 but it’s still not working. The controller does show up in iOS and also on a Samsung S7 and a Lenovo Yoga Tab 2.
Any ideas how I can get this controller showing up and paired with my Nexus 7?
Thanks
The controller probably uses a Bluetooth version that the chipset in the nexus does not recognise, remember it is 6 years old.

If your computer has the Intel Wireless Display technology that's designed to mirror your PC onto your tv, perhaps it could be reversible.
That said, I think the Nexus 7 is still waiting for that Miracast streaming feature to be enabled. Perhaps when Google allows that (thanks to Chromecast, I haven't heard word on this for a long while), something could talk between the two devices.
Sorry, these are just guesses, but I have no idea if display mirroring has come to the N7 yet. And if it has, how it could be taken advantage of in Windows.

I just got a Netgear PTV3000 so I can connect my mobile devices to a larger display. So far I've got it to work with my Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook, my Dell Venue 8 Pro, and my HTC Droid DNA. It won't work with my Nexus 7 though! In the settings there is an option to "Cast Display", but it never picks up the PTV3000 receiver. Has anyone gotten this combo to work? Thanks!!
Nobody at all?
Currently the cast screen option is disabled as I have also tried it with chromecast but no joy. Various sources have no popped up with the information that the cast screen function will be used with chromecast maybe in the next update for the chromecast

On my last three phones (Nexus 5, 6, and 6P), my song track information in Spotify would display on my Honda Fit (2015) and my Sony head units over bluetooth. With the Axon 7, I no longer get Spotify track information displayed on the head unit. I've done a little research, and there were apparently issues connecting through AVRCP for Spotify a couple years ago, however the issue has been fixed (Fixify is now considered obsolete).
Has anyone else had issues displaying track info on their head units over bluetooth? If so, was there any fix?
yea I do on my Honda worked before but then did update doesn't do anymore no matter what player I use it sucks

I'm dealing with this as well on my wife's Lexus. We had the Note 7, Spotify metadata appeared fine. Got rid of it and bought the ZTE Axon 7, and now it just shows "bluetooth audio connected" -- She's not the happiest in the world. it's weird, because in my 2015 GMC Sierra, it still shows all the song info just fine on my ZTE Axon 7....not sure what gives...
Im pissed cause it used to work on my Axon 7 when I got it but when i took the update it was messed up. Something in update messed it up cause it worked before

I have a 2016 Honda CR-V Touring. When I first connected my Axon 7 to the vehicle, it worked and I got the metadata using Spotify. The next time I got in the vehicle and started the engine, the BT metadata no longer displays. I even had the problem where Spotify will stop playing when the phone goes to sleep. I had a 4 year old Samsung Galaxy Note 2 that worked fine on this same Honda. So after dropping almost $500 for the Axon 7 Limited Edition, I have a partially functioning Bluetooth setup. I'm not very happy and am trying to decide if I'm going to keep this phone since I'm still in the 30-day return period.
FYI -- this issue being discussed on ZTE community and appears to be related to NOUGAT 7.1.1 release. various reports are that 7.1.2 will (hopefully) fix connectivity, streaming, and metadata BT issues.

Just in case: ZTE Axon 7 build B19 and B25 are both NOUGAT 7.1.1.
Looks like my GS7 Edge with Superman ROM wont pair via bluetooth to the DualShock 4 PS4 controller... I've seen others comment the same thing, I think this is absolutely ridiculous as i've had zero issues with it on my 2013 Nexus 7.
How is it possible that this isn't supported, and how is it that people arent up in arms about it/mods to enable it?
Hi,
i bought a very cheap 2012 Nexus 7 and want to use it as car dashboard. Is there any chance that I get USB OTG and Charging working on an Android 7 ROM? I only found the Timur Kernel which runs on 4.2 and doestn't work on my Tablet with a version I found (bootloop).
Otherwise...is my plan possible, if i switched to a 2013 version?
Greetings
