Well, did you follow the link on corecodec.com? There seems to work with old .66 TCPMP version...
i have found i can only get it working if i install 66

yes it s "works" but the video quality is very bad, and the sound...........!!
I just bought the newest coreplayer because it bothered me that there was so much i could not play smooth or could not play at all.
I now have it installed, and i was wondering what the best settings are so it will play any video smooth.....
Any suggestions?
I'd like to know that too.

There is no free Coreplayer unless it's cracked right? That would be illegal mate and make the mods come knocking on your door very quickly....
Just a hint....
To get back on-topic:
If you have coreplayer then you can play almost any avi, mp4, xvid file you might have. No need to encode movies, unless you want to shrink down the size and resolutions, otherwise... copy, paste and play
lol, nevermind

its not cracked, however its a 30 day trial

There is no 30 day trial. If there was then you'd be able to download it directly from the publisher.

Thanks kyphur that was my suspicion
so no one can answer the first post then??
I benchmarked a few things and came up with these settings:
These speed up things a little, but not much. (+1fps):
Video:
- "QTv Display" is fastest for me
- "Smooth Zoom" : "Only for 50%" <--- screen resolution is high, you will not see a difference in quality.
Advanced:
- "Slow video memory" : Enable <--- Speedup!
- "Higher priority music playback" : Enable <---- Music plays even if you surf in Opera.
- "Disable AVC deblocking filter" <---- enormous speedup, but makes the quality of the video worse (blocking/artiiacts)
QTv Display:
- "TyTN II" driver mode: Enable <----- Speedup on X1
Other settings (no speedup, but are nice):
Player:
- Play music in background
- Single click fullscreen
Advanced:
- Register with SPB Menu system
Is your xperia a prototype? I've got a release one and CorePlayer seems to be able to use the Imageon chip (fast)
Coreplayer don't use the imagineon chip...

exact same issue for me, was wondering if anyone got a fix for it ?
yeah I asked the same question and they need to give us an update for the youtube.
coreplayer integrated youtube
The integrated youtube used to work on all settings. Now it seems it only works on the RTSP setting under network. This is the lowest possible quality but it works.

why don't you use the standalone youtube app to access youtube video? I think the interface is so much better.

hy, i found the solution, just change the "YouTube Format" in the network settings to "RTSP (medium)" and the integratet browser and player works like a charm but, now i have the next problem ^^ is it possible to stream any tv shows like giga etc? i always get error messages. i think the xperia has superior hardware but the software is just some piece of ****. at the moment i can stream nearly nothing ^^ is that a fault of the codecs or of the player itself?
Very strange - on my sex1 this player is SLOW AS HELL!!!
Only 10fps! Video 800x480x25 etc. according the Encoder's settings.
But Windows Media works normal at the same time............

what does this rom allow you to do? i have an imito mx2 coming soon... just wondered the benefits of rom installing and which one would you reccomend?
It is rooted, which allows you to tweak it anyway you please. It is also configured nicely for a media pc, and has no excess bloat, which makes it fast. I just received my MX1 this week and have it running nicely. It has been really stable so far.

If you're in for an experiment then please install xbmc 12 frodo edition for android. Go into the system menu and right at he top set digital audio out via hdmi. A bit down enable the ac3 and dts capabilities. Now play something with a ac3 dolby digital audio track and check if your receiver gets an ac3 signal and can decode and play it. Thanks!
is it worth installing finless then?

If the AV receiver does the audio ac3/dts decoding then that offloads the smart tv dongle cpu. If that is what you meant with your question...

Does not work on the MK808, I assume AC3/DTS passthrough to the receiver will also not work on the iMito.

Thx for testing this. Looks like enabling pass-through requires some serious low-level dev efforts. See this for instance:

Anyone here with skills to make it possible?
Just wondering if you guys use DTS audio?

I guess it depends on the genre of music you listen to and the headphones /earphones you use, I find it makes the audio sound less crisp and removes the depth of the low end. It also comes down to personal preference.

im using Piston 3 for dayli use, and Sony MDR-V700DJ for more serious listening. DTS is lossy format so its not the same quality as stock audio file, but i think its negligible diference for common people and the overall experience from music is better with DTS enabled, it feels more alive and it makes you like you are surounded by the music :good:

I use Sony MDR-XB700 over ear headphones for serious listening, for casual listening I use Sony MDR-10rc, I have the same issue with both of these headphones. I also have the same issue with my monster 24k and monster DNA.
Is this a problem? I also use a Topping NX2 headphone amplifier. The issue is there with or without the amplifier so I doubt that it is the problem.

It also depends on that what audio file format are you listening. Most of my music is MP3 but i have couple albums in FLAC, there is noticable difference in quality between those formats, but i cant not hear big difference with DTS enabled or disabled in case of quality. Next thing is, DTS is not for everyone, it also depends on genre as you mentioned, i have some tracks which sound better with no edits, some Rock, Jezz music etc, but for Trap, Techno, Pop etc it is pleasure.
Are you using stock music player?

is there any other audio app that can utilize DTS other then stock player?
as rest ITT, i use stock player with DTS for electronic music.
I switch off DTS or use another player (Black player is GREAT) for my metal and acoustic guitar needs.

Emui has DTS option in settings, that option applies DTS systemwide. Music player has DTS option to include or exclude DTS effect to music, some people like DTS in movies but not in Music etc.

no problem, i was confused about that first time too, but figured it out
When I record videos with any camera and try to play them back, there is no sound. Anyone else have this happen? I tried multiple camera apps, playback methods, and made sure the volume was up and not on silent.
Thanks

I'm recording at 1080p 30fps and playing back in gallery to test. No luck. I can record videos in other apps like Facebook Messenger, send them/play them back and they are ok. But any regular camera has this problem -_-

Did you try clearing the app cache and data? If you're hearing the audio in other apps, then it's obviously the app that's the culprit.
Also, I'm not having any issue with the stock camera playback.

I didn't before but I just did. It's still broken. It's across multiple camera apps though, not just the stock one. I'm going to backup and flash FreedomOs and see if it's fixed on that ROM.

After flashing FreedomOS, video recording sound is back. Had to be something with the xXx ROM which sucks because I was having a great experience on there.
This happened again on FreedomOS. I believe after reverting the Stereo sound mod for the phone speaker that it's fixed. If anyone has this issue, try to remove that mod and see if it helps. I thought it might have been Viper but it doesn't seem like it.
If you are rooted and have Magisk installed, flash the "Android Mic Fix" module, it worked for me
