I recently factory resetted the phone. But the next morning when i woke up, the display was gone. The battery was around the 50% mark. But from that day, the phone is not booting up. I tried blank flash but the phone is recognized as moto g4. No sign of qualcomm or anything. When i press the power button, the led blinks 3 times and then blank again. The phone vibrates with the power button but thats the only sign of life it shows. What shall i do???
Did you find any solution for the problem? I am having the same issue.

Hi, hope someone can help. Baterry went dead whilst on a call, it was low. Tried to recharge through USB "device not recognised". Tried power and Orange LED comes on momentarily then phone cycles through booting. Sometimes you can see the boot screen other time just the vibration is felt. Tried soft reset hard reset every which way power on whilst connected, power off etc. Removed battery tried again, same. Left battery out for 30 minutes, same. It now appears to be stuck in bootloader screen and still cycling. How long does one have to leave the battery out? What else can I try???
Jerry rigged another destop charger so I could align the contacts and got some charge in the battery. Put it back in and charging normally, phone booted up as though nothing had happened. No hard reset evidence.
Noticed my E900 was unexpectedly powered off. Tried to switch on and got the LG logo for 3-4 seconds, then... nothing. Seems to power off. Failed to boot?
Subsequently, power button did nothnig. After removing/replacing battery and powering on, I get the same LG logo for a few seconds, then nothing.
The LG logo tells me it isn't a dead screen. Connected to PC/Zune and nothing seen.
Are there any button combinations to do a reset?
I have ordered a new battery, but I think that's unlikely to help.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
Mark
I had already tried charging the phone of course, and had left it plugged in for several hours. No change, still as dead as ever.
But later I connected to a PC. No sign of life from there, but I happened to leave it connected. An hour or so later I noticed it was displaying the almost-full-screen picture of a battery, with a small fraction of green at the bottom.
So it seems the battery had been totally drained to the point it was (almost) unrecoverable. Perhaps it was the low-current trickle from USB that got it going again.
Back up and running now. Glad I didn't panic and buy a new phone!
Hello,
As a newcomer to the forums, I'd like to ask for some help. I tried some of the methods described in several posts, to no avail. The situation is this:
Yesterday, I forgot my Defy+ on my desk and the alarm went of at 21:00 as programmed. It went for about 30 mins after that it was cancelled by default. I switched the wifi on and the phone restarted. In fact it stuck in a restart loop, mostly with the Motorola logo on screen. I took the battery out, kept it for like 30 mins, popped it back in and it went to the recovery console with the exclamation mark and the little droid icon. It stayed there for 30 sec, after that it went dark. Now this happened before so I did not panic and tried the battery swap again.
However, this time the phone is silent. Dead. If I plug it into a PC it gives me the notification sound (like when you pull out a usb drive from your PC) and the battery still gives out 3.7V.
No reaction for pressing the power button or volume up/down or any combination of that.
My question is: Is there a way to revive my beloved phone or is it just a piece of history now?
Additional info: Yes, it was a stock Defy+ with Android 2.3.4.
Any help is appreciated!
Update
Update: When I plug it into a PC with the Volume- button pressed down, a white LED starts to light until I disconnect it. During this if I try to enter bootloader mode, the PC recognises it as an unknown device and immediately prompts me to reconnect it.
Any ideas?
Last night I kept downloading some files on my moto g4+ (XT1643) before going to sleep and it drained the whole battery. When I woke up this morning I connected it to a wall charger and after a few minutes of charging I tried to turn the phone on and it came to life as normal. But when it turned on the touch screen didn't respond and went black after a few seconds. Since then the display isn't responding to the power button though the phone is on as I am able to call my number but the display remains black. While i kept both the power button and the vol- button pressed at a time it boots to the bootloader and if i start the phone again the same thing happens. I also tried to enter into the twrp recovery but it just shows the welcome screen and nothing happens. When the phone is in the bootloader it gets recognized as "fastboot device" in the adb shell.
I don't know what actually the problem is.
please help me.
So I bricked my phone a little while ago. I was flashing the deodexed and when it rebooted back to the bootloader I got nothing. Doesnt respond to anything. Well I was about to send it in to essential so I was taking the screen protector off and all that when I thought I saw a essential logo burnt into the screen.... Turns out its the Essential boot screen just SUPER light almost like a ghost or burnt image...
I can reset the phone over and over, it never responds to anything, no charge light from plugging it in, never appears as a port on my computer or anything... But I can watch the logo disappear and reappear by holding the power button for 10+ seconds...
Options to try to get to recovery/bootloader?
I have tried every combo of power, power vol+, power vol-, power vol+-, while unplugged, plugged into wall and plugged into laptop.... Tried all options holding for just 10secs and tried each one holding for 2 full min each to make sure I went passed the 45sec reset...
Not sure what else I can do.
Any ideas?
