I tried running the VZW OTASP (*228) which usually works just fine. But when I did it this morning I got a recording saying they could not program my phone and to contact customer service from a land line. This sounds sort of fishy to me so I just wanted to check in with the group here to see if anyone has any experience with this or suspicions.
I have a vogue running NFS's v16 with mega and radio 3.37.78. Thanks for any advice in advance.
I hoped to find some help on this forum, because the official nimbuzz forum couldn't so far.
Some weeks ago I used skype out via nimbuzz on my own wireless network. Suddenly I didn't hear anything anymore. Since then I can't use skype out anymore. I do hear the dialing sound, but when the person picksup I dont hear anythjing anymore. The other side can hear me.
On the official nimbuzz forum they told me it had to do with firewall on my router. I opened the suggested UDP ports in the range: 15000 to 65000, but no effect.
Also same results on edge and hsdpa network.
In the mean time I flashed several rom, stock and cooked, but still same results.
Does anyone has an idea what the issue can be? Skype is working, but I uses the external speaker and I like to have some privacy.
i got also the same problem as youre..would anyone know how to tfix this things? thanks.

Am facing the same problem buddy. The phone is amazing but as Viber and Fring are not working on this phone, am thinking to re-sell this phone and buy a Samsung phone. If anyone can get a solution for this issue, it would be great.

I think there must be some solution to this. Hope this forum helps.
Hi, this is Viber's rep.
Do you guys use stock or custom ROM?
In addition, please check: http://bit.ly/xMDuVw for possible solutions.
Thanks!
Its a stock ROM (i.e. its come with the phone) , Android 4.1.2
Please note that Viber does not officially support your device yet, and that may be the reason for the problems you are experiencing. Here is the full list of officially supported devices: http://helpme.viber.com/Knowledgeba...roid-supported-with-viber-system-requirements
We are continuously working to adapt Viber to more and more devices, and we hope to make your device fully compatible soon. When we have news, we'll let you know.
Would rooting and using CyanogenMod help?
We (Viber) cannot officially recommend this.
In some devices, Viber cannot "handle" the microphone (since we don't fully support that device), causing Viber not to recognize the phone's microphone properly. That is probably the reason that Viber cannot transmit your sound to the other side. We discussed this issue in detail with our users in this thread on XDA Forums: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25865775#post25865775
Please note that in that thread, a workaround was suggested *by a user* (and not officially by us) that seemed to have solved the problem for Galaxy S+S2 users.
Hello all,
I received my OP8P device and i'm using it in Qatar.
I activated also the 5G, it didn't work yet but suddenly i got a bigger problem which is all the incoming/outcoming calls are restricted by access control.
I registered a complaint through the network provider (ooredoo) but they didn't contact me yet.
Tried also to use a non-activated 5G sim, and calls worked normally.
I assume the problem is related to 5G, anyone faced something like that?
hi whats thenews with this? did you fix this?
Hi your absolutely right seems it's from the 5g, I also had the same exact issue after activating 5g, I will also contact ooredoo. Please advice if ooredoo fixed your issue as I see the post is 10days old.
And I have a similar problem with 5G, too, did not dare. I wonder who got out of this situation.
Hi there,
I have a Mi A1 with LineageOS 17.1 that works fine, except that I cannot make phone calls to German landline numbers. I just hear some very distorted noise from my opposite, while he doesn't hear anything from me at all. Calls into the mobile network work fine.
The problem has already occurred before upgrading from 16 to 17.1.
The problem occurs for both SIM slots. After ejecting the SIM card and inserting it again, sometimes one or two calls are possible, then the error occurs again.
I have another Mi A1 (with a broken screen, though), which works fine.
Does anybody have an idea, if it is a hard- or software problem? Any ideas how to fix this problem? I would be thankful for suggestions.
Cheers

I have the same issues with stock ROM since June when making VoLTE Calls into any network (mobile or landline) in Germany. Try to disable VoLTE (4G Calling) in your SIM settings. At least that helped on my device - however falling back into GSM is a terrible workaround!

Thank you! This actually helps and makes my phone usable again!
It is still puzzling why this phenomenon occurs for one device and not for the other, why it occurs only for landline calls in my case and for all calls in your case, and what has made this phenomenon to occur at all. But at least: there is a workaround! Thanks!
