Hi I'm fairly new at this and I've a few questions. I bricked my phone and tried to fix it with kies recovery. Which failed. But obviously from that I got the knox thing. So I fixed it with a PIT file and then I flashed a PDA file via odin from Sam mobile that said I wouldn't be able to downgrade from it, but it works. But when I try run a game or bench mark test my device it will restart and then keep looping on the boot screen. If I take out the battery and then try boot it again it works. I know I've voided my warranty. How would I fix it from restarting? Also would I be able to install a custom rom still or have I blown that by getting the OTA updates?

Boot-loop could also be a faulty battery..? Maybe that causes your device to restart in the first place! You can get a new one from Samsung for free without sending in your phone, they just need serial, IMEI and serial number from battery. I called them 2 days ago to fix this I would do a check just to be sure!
Also see: My phone also hang at the Samsung logo, then rebooted. When I plugged in my charger it suddenly did work. Battery seems to be faulty, waiting for a new one to arrive now!

I basically have the same exact problem as this guy from another forum, there's this new update that pops up on my phone but I cannot install it properly.
"Hello all, The latest april update to my International exynos S7 Edge just got pushed and i tried installing it. My phone reboots, goes to the blue screen and shows an android image, and says "Applying Android update..." it gets to about 27% and fails, shows the dead android mascot with the yellow exclamation point, and then the phone reboots normally. And then a pop up appears on home screen saying Update Failed, please visit service center. What should i do to install the update? i've tried 3 times already to apply the update" -kofman13
Download Samsung smart switch to your computer, plug in your phone and update from the program. It should update fine

What he said.
Failing that you can use Odin and Download the firmware and flash.
If the device boots and its rooted you could use Flashfire.
If the device is rooted, you wont be able to install the update via OTA
If you check a couple of my previous posts, i have re-posted a link to a Utility to download the firmware for you
(You are not stuck with slow download speeds from sammy website)
Am in a good mood here is the link, no need to check previous posts

Just wanted to know if someone can help with my situation.
Had a completely stock phone and revived the OTA update for 7.0, unfortunately this broke my fingerprint scanner, took my phone to Samsung today and they re-flashed the firmware but still no good! They have ordered a screen and fingerprint sensor in but wont be back till Saturday.
They had to re-flash my phone twice as the first time they stuck on a lock three version even though mine was brought unlocked so they had to flash it again back to that.
Unfortunately i am now not receiving the OTA update it also does not show on Smart Switch. Is everything okay, do I have to just wait or have they messed up?
My Knox counter is still 0x0 and device says official... if I flash the update using Odin will this trip the Knox counter as I still need the fingerprint sensor changing...
Hope someone can help!
I would start with wiping all the data/system via recovery then flashing new 7.0 rom downloaded from sammobile.

Just flash and back on 7.0 and still 0x0! Thanks!
I bought a G935V on ebay with a cracked screen. I replace the screen and powered back on and seemed ok but now I am stuck on FRP screen. The seller sold the phone as is, I just thought that meant broken screen.
Is there anything I can do or am I sol at this point?
Keep trying to unlock it until the phone does a factory reset. Or boot into recovery and do a factory reset.

I have the same situation. I also bought on ebay.
I changed the firmware to 6.01. (October 2016). It did not help.
No method with youtube works for me. And in my country there is no cdma.
Now I'm looking for a solution. The last option is to carry the guys with programmers ...
I tried the firmware from version U but they are not installed

Unless the device was not updated to nougat, this option is a waste of time. not only the device will be a pain in the guts, it will make you doubt of your skills and life
Hey guys,
Tried updating my phone today and it said my system is modified. This was a brand new device when I bought it, in download mode it still says Official and I have never attempted to root the device. I've got Adhell installed but that's as far as I go. What gives? I can't do an official update. Any suggestions?
Edit: Samsung Pay and Secure Folder still both work.
