Hi everyone i coming from Slovenia/Europe and i have similar or same problmes as US Sprint version of S10 with poor signal strenght i try reboot, reseat sim, reset network settings, factory reset but nothing help. With my old Note8 on same place i have full 4G/LTE signal i means all 4 bars now on S10+ i cant reach more than 2 bars sometimes is 1 bar or just drop to 3G or H+
Is there any more solution how fix that i test it with other phones to my dad have J6 2018 and on same place he have full signal without problems in case when i get 4G is very slow
well its a US Sprint version... check the bands your model number has and what bands ur carrier operates on.
You may be missing some required by your carrier for full lte support... in which case nothing will solve the issue but finding a phone with compatible bands

What is the full model of the phone take a screen shot like I just did. You mentioned Sprint, but wasn't sure if you said the issue is similar to Sprint s10 or you actually have a Sprint S10. Try putting your wife's sim card inside your s10 and see what happens.

I already try sim in wife phone but its same

I think that the S10+ has radio issues (T-mobile). There is a portion of roadway that I always every time no matter what lose signal. Took my son's Samsung J7 Star with me for two days (both ways) on this road, didn't lose the signal. I took my phone back to T-mobile while under warranty and got another new S10+ and it is doing the same thing. T-mobile coverage map shows service on that road, it seems to be pointing to the S10+ itself. Next I plan on taking my wife's S10+ phone for a ride along and see if that phone loses signal.

The other thing to check for signal is the sim card status menu ( more accurate than just bars) compare the actual signal that you receive to your note 8 in same place with same sim card etc.

Well that is the way to check signal strength more accurately than just by looking at the bars. If you're concerned take it to Samsung for warranty inspection.

Since having this phone since last week I've noticed reception that is worse than my previous Verizon Note 3. I live in a spotty/poor area for reception but it has been worse than ever before now on the 6P. Maybe something in the way I have it setup could help....maybe? At my house I never get 4G (even on my old Note 3 all I ever had was 3G) and at the office I used to get 4G on my Note 3 but now I only very occasionally see it show LTE above the bars at the top of the phone.
I've tried switching between Global, LTE/CDMA and LTE/GSM/UMTS under the cellular network settings and Global seems to return the best reception for me. What should be the best setting here for Verizon?
I have "Data Roaming" off; should it be on?
I have "Enhanced 4G LTE Mode" on; should it be on or off?
"System Select" I have on automatic; good?
"Access Points" screen opens to APN's which I haven't touched because I have no idea what that does...any help in there???
Having used my phone for a while now I can add that I occasionally will see several bars on the reception icon at the top and then it will just vanish and show no bars. Usually my reception would bounce up and down a bit but on this phone it seems to plunge or skyrocket sporadically.
At the office (where I have better reception) I will see very good signal strength around -73dBm 8asu at times and then at other times its -117dBm 1asu or worse. At home its almost always -110 or worse...
Any thoughts on anything I could try to change to improve things or am I just out of luck with a weaker radio in this phone verses my old Note 3?
Thanks

I am also on Verizon and in my house the cell signal is comparable to that. I think there is just bad coverage in my neighborhood; when I go towards the city center it gets better.
I just sold my Verizon note 5 got the nexus 6p, and the 6p gets better reception

How is the screen on N6P compared to Note 5?
You might want to try turning off Enhanced 4G LTE Mode. The Enhanced 4G LTE mode turns on VoLTE. If you don't have good LTE coverage, then you won't be able to make calls reliably with VoLTE turned on.
I agree with your points. I too want to figure out which is best.
This was my battery life on the first day I got it, 10/29. I had the best SOT performance when I was setting it up. Everything mostly on. Realized my coverage sucked when I saw others.

And this is today.

I have:
Data Roaming off
Network Type LTE / CDMA
Enhanced 4G LTE Mode On
Automatic CDMA Roaming Mode

This is awful now...

Yes, its a new sim.
Hi is there any way to boost signal strength? Out of all the flagship phones and mid range phones i have ever had the s7 edge has to be the worst. Previous phones: Z5 Premium, C5 Ultra, S6 Edge Plus, Z3, Nexus 6, HTC m8, Note 2, 3 and 4. The best was the Nexus 6. Its got that bad i feel like ditching the s7 edge for a mid range phone. I love everything else about it and it destroys the competition. But this most important factor prevents it from being the ultimate phone. any ideas welcome. I'm on BTU UK firmware and i've tried 3UK firmware and that's even worse. I've tried just using 3g only instead of 3g/lte. Factory reset many times. Tried different sim cards.
Thanks

Yes same issue here. I installed 'signal guard' from the app store that repairs signal, and helps but fast from a fix.
I may sell the phone and upgrade to the OnePlus3... I haven't had a Samsung for years, and omg how far have they fallen! The S7 is truly a polished turd!

Definitely... I can't understand why so many reviews recommend this phone, when it is almost useless in a lot of locations....
I'm hoping that a modem update will resolve it...

I know it's a poor workaround but you can try to limitate the network to only 2G as default and upgrade to 3G/4G only when needed; for this I downloaded an app (2g/3G switcher or smth like that) taht gives me a shortcut in the notification panel in order to quick access this band switch; doing so you will also notice a small improvement in battery life due to better signal
O ditched gs7e for oneplus3 ... Im getting LTE all in my area with full bars. When i had the s7e i didn't got more than 2bars. Also having bad reception result with battery drain. Im happy with op3. Its confirmed that cm14 is on the way for us.

I've been really upset that I need to turn in my perfectly fine note 7. I was having really tough time deciding which phone to get and this Mi Mix really got me excited. Now I will turn in my note 7 for this in a heart beat.

Grats and do tell us when you get it.
I am not sure about att since their LTE is mostly band 28, 700 which this phone doesn't support. U will get LTE in some area but not full support.
Right now it seems like it's easier to get the phone if you have someone in China

Looks like it'll support T-Mobile.
It is supposed to come out November 4th in limited numbers. I will get it for T-Mobile just to experience it if importing won't double the cost. The cameras and screen are nothing like the Note 7 though (same is true for the Mi Note 2, which is curved but still has a 1.5mm bezel on each side of the screen, so there's no borderless effect at all).
No band 12? That's going to be a hard pill to swallow in regards to certain areas, including my office.

They had me until I didn't see Band 12 on there. I need band 12 for my office also. Regardless, its such a nice phone and has great specs, so tempting. Let's see what Huawei has up their sleeves with the Mate 9 next week.
The phone is running Snapdragon 821, so in hardware it supports all LTE bands. Software is a different story. Some Xiaomi phones have been successfully unlocked, others overwrite nvram values on boot which has been an issue. The interest of this phone will probably fuel development work. The Mi Note 2 was released with the Mi Mix and it supports most LTE bands so it's possible that files/code from the Mi Note 2 might help in unlocking the Mi Mix. I'm hopeful!
I was sad about the note 7 I ended up jumping on the iPhone 7 promos T-Mobile was having and I deeply regret it hahaha I miss android selling my iPhone 7plus and jumping on this boat this phone is beautiful
Finally I was able to get one

Image quality is a bit better than my z5 premium but not the S7 edge.
In call quality is on par with S7 edge both in ear and speakerphone.
The display is great in terms of color, viewing angle. The best feature I like the most is u can choose display color temp better warm, standard or cold.
The built quality is very premium in the hand, the best one I have had since oppo 7 and Huawei Mate 8

One of my concerns about using this phone on Verizon is that its LTE only. For then first 4 days it was getting a great signal. Tonight i went to a concert and when I got onto the concert floor my signal was super slow and cut out. My friend had a note 8 and was getting a pretty decent signal, not super fast but much better than what I was getting.
I was however getting texts instantly with no issues which was kinda weird.
Still in my return period and wanted to see how others on Verizon were doing when your in odd places.
Thx

I've been randomly testing my phone and until tonight I was getting fantastic speeds in places I normally don't. It was concerning to have others get a signal and not me.
I guess the good news is that I was able to get texts with no issues. I have a week to go so we'll see how it goes
I REALLY like this phone over the Pixel 3XL I came from so hopefully tonight was a weird and isolated case.
What network type are you all using in the phone information section?
LTE. Although, I just noticed that it says unknown phone number. Could that be an issue?

I work in a rural area and my Pixel 2XL and Pixel 3 struggle and go into "3G" mode fairly often. On the 6T, speeds can be slow but signal is consistently better. The only places I loose signal completely are out in the woods where reception is spotty at best for any phone. I'm really happy with it so far!

I have been getting a better signal than my previous phones on Verizon as well. In my house all my calls were over wifi on my Note 9 so I was a bit worried about the OnePlus 6t. I get a much better signal at home on the 6T and do not seem to need wifi calling.

First off said my carrier did not support this feature. I followed the instructions and it said setting up, when i went back out a blue screen with register my phone number came up and sent me a sms code. I went back in and its working great.
Now how do you work it.?
It's works just relax when your enter your number change to uk county code so USA is usually 1 than the number enter 44 than go back to that and out the otp pattern to that than just close app and open and should be connected.

So before it says connect your number goes in that spot.

on a10 with ui2. maybe that's why.
I'm on ATT, and have RCS connected. Now..is it actually working? Who knows..most of my friends have iPhones, or don't care enough to try this workaround. But chat service is Connected on my phone.

DM me if you want to test this out.
Had another successful test with RCS. One thing we saw....the real time typing indicator is gone. There was an update last night (v 5.3.073) so perhaps there is a bug. I reported it to Google, so we'll see. Otherwise, it works pretty good.
