Hi guys, much like other users I'm getting that stupid notification delay and when you grab the phone suddenly they all flood in. It seems related to doze, I'm not sure
https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/help/delayed-push-notifications-t3378852/page4
Apparently factory reset doesn't help. I'm wondering if a custom rom would help. What are the best ones out there and will certain apps (like banking or authentication ones) will still work on a rooted phone.
Thanks!

Hello there,
I've got some problems with my Nexus 7 3G with rooted 4.3, unlocked bootloader and Multiboot mod after it got wet during a heavy rain.
It seems that the I2C controller fried, so the bus does not work anymore and rotation sensor, brightness sensor, NFC and camera are not working anymore.
But as those are features I don't need anyway so I want to remove some of the services that are not needed anymore.
As the system tried to initialize the NFC chip it drained a lot of power so I deleted the nfc.apk and my problem was gone (well, at least the power drain one).
I installed KitKat 4.4 in Multiboot today and tried the same thing for the nfc.apk, resulting in "Settings stopped working" every time I try to get to settings.
So, first question is: Is anyone out there with 4.4 already on their device and managed to remove NFC? Did Google change it that much so it is impossible to remove the service? If this is not possible anymore I'll be forced to use 4.3.
And the second, more important question: Is it possible to remove the other services that don't work anymore because of the hardware faults? If yes, which system apps do I need to remove?
Thanks in advance!

Its better to freeze system apps than to delete them. They cause trouble if deleted!
Hi!
New I9505 user here.. Still getting used to it before I do anything. I just wanna ask if there is any known issue on our unit? Overheating, Crashing camera app etc? If there is one is there anything we can about it? like overheating, I know using a Bloat free ROM can help. Thanks for the response in advance
its just the over heating and its start to happen if you update or flash new rom or Stock firmware & its gone by if you charged your battery once till 100%.
and if you want to count the locked bootloader :\
i have i9500, the heating issues is gone on 4.4.2, the only bad thing in all galaxy devices is the lag, its better in 4.4.2 but still not perfect, opening contacts, phone, messages takes some time so its not as fast as it should be...
Hi all,
I recently - all of five days ago if that - rooted, TWRPd and flashed the latest CM13 nightly onto my wife's Galaxy S5. Since then she is consistently getting some problem with audible where it claims "Cannot play this title". The only solution I've found is to clear cache and data for the app and set it up from scratch. This then temporarily makes Audible work again.
Does anyone else use Audible and confirm that this isn't the correct behaviour?
In terms of potential solutions, I don't want to mess too much with her phone and try different ROMs etc, so sticking with CM13 is preferable for now.
I might stick the same ROM onto my OPO and see if I can reproduce it there as a first step, but I'm curious if anyone has seen this behaviour and can help.
Thanks for any advice.
This is also happenin to me on my Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) running cm13 official (13.0-20160423-NIGHTLY-Z00A)
I've been able to recover by turning off the "Storage" permission (Settings > Apps > Audible > Permissions) and then luanching a title from Audible and re-enabling the permission from Audible. This at least avoids me having to redownload the book.
Don't know how to stop it from occurring outright, it seems to happen after every cm upgrade, and then randomly thereafter.
Good morning everybody,
I flashed the UK version of Nougat on my S7 Edge last wednesday (I'm from the Netherlands, so the update is not yet available on my device).
It worked perfectly and Nougat has been great so far (except for the headsup preview, wich I have since disabled using ADB).
But ever since the install I keep getting a pop-up saying that Authservice has stopped. I'll get a few of these in a row and then I'll get one saying Authservice keeps stopping. I can close the notification and tell it to close the app, and it will be gone for a while.
Does anyone has any idea what this is and how I can stop it?
I think it has something to do with Samsung Pay and the fact that Pay isn't available in the Netherlands yet...
But I've tried force stopping and disabling Pay, to no avail.
Thanks!
Install package disabler (or Titanium if you're rooted) and search for com.samsung.android.authservice then disable/freeze it. This should stop it.
just optimize your phone in device maintenance. its what i did..
:good: This worked for me. Thank you.
No it didn't at least. It only worked for a while.
Hello guys,
I bought my 6T a few days ago and have been noticing some annoying software issues:
1. When I unlock my phone it doesn't take me to the application I was using before I locked the screen; it takes me to the home screen.
2. The recent applications keep getting cleared even though I've turned the battery optimisation off.
3. In the lock screen when there's a notification, the ambient display shows the notification but touching on it doesn't turn the screen on. You have to hit the power button or unlock the phone in order to check notifications.
There a couple of other minor issues like apps crashing and then restarting that don't happen too often.
Just wanted to check if others are facing these issues as well and if someone has any solutions.
Those sounds like bugs in the OS, I say this since I'm experiencing the same issues on my OP6 running Open Beta 6 (based off OS 9.0.4 for the 6T).
Have you submitted a bug report on OnePlus feedback page? This way it will get the right people in front and get the issues resolved.

The device and oxygen Pie is pretty new so you gotta give it some time for software update.
Also do you have the tmo variant or the unlocked version?
Because the tmo variant has not gotten any software updates yet.

That's a fair point. I haven't done it yet, but I will. Thanks for suggesting it.

I have the unlocked version. You're right it's still pretty new and OnePlus might have jumped the gun a little bit in releasing this in an attempt to be there first OEM to push Pie. Let's hope they fix this in a future update.
I think I finally figured out why the recent apps get cleared. OnePlus has set the background app limit to 16 which is retarded. I remember it was the same on the OnePlus 3 as well. And of course you can't just modify the build.prop file to increase this limit.
It's things like this why we need root. I'm probably gonna have to do it soon if I don't find a way around this.
