Hi!
I'm using a Philips Hue Kit with Hue Stream App for enjoy ambilight effects with my Nvidia Shield TV.
But I have a problem with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and other stream services (screenshot protectión, of course).
Is there any solution for avoid this? The App can not read the screen information, so the lights doesn't work.
I tried some app called "Xposed’s DisableSecureFlag", but I can't make it works and I'm not very convinced about that app.
Thanks!
there's a magisk module called "liboemcrypto disabler" if you are a magisk user.

Awesome! I'll try that. (first magisk)
Thanks!!!
Did it work?
Did the magisk mod work?
Pfff I'm not planning on rooting my shield only for the lamps. any other solution found?
I am lifting this thread once more - did it work with the magisk module called "liboemcrypto disabler"? I would love to give it a try. But some positive feedback would be a good motivation

Hey guys I flashed the official lollipop on my 9005 and it's perfect.
Only there's no xposed yet ?
One of the main modules I used was youtube ad away.
Is there an alternative out there?
I use Adaway without xposed. So why do u need it?
I think you miss read. I used youtube ad-away. And that is an xposed module.
Ad-away is stand alone app, not the same as youtube ad away

I never used youtube adaway from xposed module. So i cant imagine their differences. Have u tried both? Let me know any difference.
Dude just use lucky patcher. I used it to remove system wide ads and I have never seen an ad since then. It seems to remove ALL ads, not only the ones from youtube. It works great! I don't have a tutorial, but i'm sure that a google search will suffice.
If you further need help, PM me and i'll try to assist
Good luck dude!

Interesting, I've used lucky patcher before, didn't know it worked with youtube ads. My go to had always been xposed. I'd really prefer to use lucky if there's no choice. Just never been to keen on it. But i will try it.
yeah, lucky patcher patches the hosts on the system, so it blocks every ad. I don't have any other adblocker installed, so I just used that with a fresh install of 5.0. I didn't get any ads since then.
Can you confirm that it also works in youtube for sure?
Ok so I tried lucky patcher and blocked ads, but still getting them in youtube. So no luck as of yet to my question unfortunately
I don't get any ads in youtube. I think you can patch the youtube app with lucky patcher...

Patch it with what setting? I've removed ads in youtube with lp. I'm on lollipop of that makes a difference. I know chelpus had said that lp is not fully lollipop compatible
Toolbox>Block Ads>Block Ads on Device
I think that's how I did it.
I think it's done it! Thanks
So I'm having the issue where Google play says insufficient space. In the older lucky there was an option to remove backup or something to fix it. But I cant find that in the one im using 5.8 or something.
Any help
I have problem to launch com.oneplus.factorymode.specialtest app via oneplus stock dialer by *#801#.
What should I check or do for resolving this problem?
My OP5 status are flahed xXx Nolimit 3.1 on my OP5.
And I applied several magisk moules like busybox for ndk, HEVC for video recording, call recording enabler, pixel 2 wifi, viper4androidfx and qualcomm wifi bonding.
By any chance, is there something that can be affected to this issue?
Any idea will be welcome.
Thanks in advance.
Okay I decided to finally root this phone...wanted my black theme again vs keeping my L1 encryption. :silly:
Straight forward process all setup and running (unlocked USA 6T not TMO branded) HOWEVER two things...
1.) Google Play Store doesn't seem to want to stick a theme. I can theme everything else no problem. Substratum says the theme applied successfully. It on a rare occasion will theme black but then after a little bit it goes back to stock white and without an applied theme. I tried Swift Black, Flux, and Pitch Black. All same issue. It shows applied successfully and is "green" in substratum showing it's applied and active. Launching Play Store sometimes it sticks (and is black themed) and sometimes it doesn't (no theme applied). It's more doesn't than does. Any thoughts? I'm in the USA so it's English not a foreign language that I'm using (as I read other languages for Play Store cannot be themed).
2.) Google Pay. I kept getting your device is rooted cannot setup. Is this a problem with Magisk v18 primarily? I pass CTS in Magisk. Then I setup Pay. It fails when adding credit card with that error and then when going back into Magisk it'll now say "false" and fail of Safety net. Reboot phone. It's back to true (passed), add card, and fails.
The fix for me was to set Magisk to "hide." Now it passes safety net and was able to add my credit card but in return I cannot theme Magisk since it's hidden. Is that the compromise for now these days?
Otherwise enjoying my Adaway, VIper4Android FX, and substratum again. If this is posted elsewhere I didn't see it. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction did a general surfing of the threads didn't see anything.
I noticed if I add Google Play to Magisk hide then the theme does not work for it. Once I removed Google Play from Magisk hide list the theme instantly came back.
Edit:
As for number 2 the Google Pay issue, the search is your friend. It is a known issue with the latest Google Play Services. Check here for more information and a temporary workaround: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/discussion-google-pay-magisk-discussion-t3906703

I was hiding root from the Play Store. Unchecked, for now it's a black theme yay.
#2 I'll go read the thread. I was searching in the OnePlus 6T section rather than in the Magisk thread. Good point. I'll read through it thank you! :good:

That did it for me, also helped me theme another app which was giving me a headache, thanks for the suggestion! But now play store fcs anytime I try to open anything while the overlay is active. Gonna reinstall and it see if that fixes it.
Yup running smooth now, and the theme sticks full time. Thanks for the suggestion never would have thought Magisk hide would interfere with substratum overlays

Yeah makes sense now but didn't think about it either. 100% confirm theme works perfect now.
Google Pay now seems like a total cluster I read that entire thread. I got the cards added but haven't tried using it yet. End of the day, it's not a deal breaker.

It's a problem from Google Cloud Messaging APIs. Can be fixed by using Magisk module.

Hey guys,
Have anyone had any luck sideloading Peacock Android TV version on a rooted stick?
I were not able to and I tried playing with Xposed modules and turning on Magisk Hide but no go. The app instantly crashes once you try to run it.
Anyone familiar with a good way to work around this ?
Thanks

I have a unlocked 4k (no root) i tried it on and it just crashes on startup. I tried it on the latest FireOS and a couple older ones. I always get the same crash at start up. I tried the phone version and i get the same. no ideas here...
I used Peacock on non rooted Firestick 4K and it worked. I signed in but it did not work the first time. I forced close in the app and then it worked without problem. I downloaded the www.apkmirror.com

I think it just doesn't work on rooted devices, but I've heard people having it working just fine by doing what you've just explained above
Sadly, this doesn't seem to work with rooted ones, rebooting or force closing doesn't seem to do the trick.
I wonder if there is a way to bypass the root detection and run it also on rooted firetv4k.
Anyone figure a fix for the rooted sticks and Peacock tv ?
