Hey guys I flashed the official lollipop on my 9005 and it's perfect.
Only there's no xposed yet ?
One of the main modules I used was youtube ad away.
Is there an alternative out there?
I use Adaway without xposed. So why do u need it?
I think you miss read. I used youtube ad-away. And that is an xposed module.
Ad-away is stand alone app, not the same as youtube ad away

I never used youtube adaway from xposed module. So i cant imagine their differences. Have u tried both? Let me know any difference.
Dude just use lucky patcher. I used it to remove system wide ads and I have never seen an ad since then. It seems to remove ALL ads, not only the ones from youtube. It works great! I don't have a tutorial, but i'm sure that a google search will suffice.
If you further need help, PM me and i'll try to assist
Good luck dude!

Interesting, I've used lucky patcher before, didn't know it worked with youtube ads. My go to had always been xposed. I'd really prefer to use lucky if there's no choice. Just never been to keen on it. But i will try it.
yeah, lucky patcher patches the hosts on the system, so it blocks every ad. I don't have any other adblocker installed, so I just used that with a fresh install of 5.0. I didn't get any ads since then.
Can you confirm that it also works in youtube for sure?
Ok so I tried lucky patcher and blocked ads, but still getting them in youtube. So no luck as of yet to my question unfortunately
I don't get any ads in youtube. I think you can patch the youtube app with lucky patcher...

Patch it with what setting? I've removed ads in youtube with lp. I'm on lollipop of that makes a difference. I know chelpus had said that lp is not fully lollipop compatible
Toolbox>Block Ads>Block Ads on Device
I think that's how I did it.
I think it's done it! Thanks
So I'm having the issue where Google play says insufficient space. In the older lucky there was an option to remove backup or something to fix it. But I cant find that in the one im using 5.8 or something.
Any help

OK...I bought this app because I wanted a simple way to get Hulu Plus working. I am running CM7 via a dual-boot SD card since I wanted to preserve the original B&N functionality. Adobe Flash 11 is installed too.
I'm hoping this is something really simple. When I start up the app and go to Hulu, the Hulu web page loads with no issues. So, I click on "Log In" and two things happen:
1. For a brief second, a login dialog pops up int he upper right (same as regular Hulu) asking me to enter a user name and password. It's only on the screen for about half a second.
2. Immediately afterwards, the web browser just goes to an "about:blank" page.
So, how I can I get past this and log into my Hulu Plus account to watch videos?
Unless I'm missing something the easy way to watch Hulu Plus is to download the Hulu Plus app. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1449110
I'd recommend going that route unless there is some reason why it wouldn't work with a dual boot setup. Your purchase isn't a total loss though I wouldn't mind having it for YouTube videos that won't play on mobile browsers. Just make sure you disable ad blocker if you have it installed before using the flash browser app.

I don't have it in front of me right now actually but the app definitely doesn't work. I think it gives some sort of "Your device is not supported" error but I'll check when I get home. So I'm looking for alternatives.
Well if you download the app from Google Play (Android Market) then you will probably have that problem. But the link I posted is from another thread here and its a modded APK that works very well. Again it should work unless there's an issue with dual boot setups I'm not aware of. Lol I've missed things before and some people make sure you know it.
Don't forget disabling ad blocker is the easiest and most common fix for your app in question. I would still recommend the Hulu app but you might as well get this browser app working too.
figured it out...
if you go to hulu.com/signin it will redirect to a login page... login..... this will save the cookie..... use back to exit fvb then when you open again just hit hulu ..... I found this post looking for a solution.... then did some experimenting and this just worked for me like 5 minutes ago.... hope this helps

thanks.. :fingers-crossed:
i hope it is not a virus infected site..
update:
it loaded/installed just fine.. and ran..
first try.. it got to hulu.com.. and showed full website.
tried to play a show.. it locked up.. had to FC it.
ran the app again.. going to hulu.com .. was a white screen. and that is all you can see.
so.. that app has been blocked or does not support hulu anymore.
NOTE: i did not try to load an older version of Flash Player. this might fix it.
but I am giving up on this.. till something is developed better.

Hulu Plus works beautifully on my Nook Color. Running CM10 from the SD Card.
It's not entirely clear whether or not you're using the modded app linked in the 2nd post. You need to use the modded app. Here's a link:
http://www.mediafire.com/?n0e9qxeo1mt0onh
Before running the app, be sure to temporarily disable any ad-blocking you may be using.

Don't know if my different nook or rooted stock rom makes a difference. I have a rooted Nook Tablet (NT), no custom ROM. I cannot login from the directions in the earlier posts. However, I can watch certain things by browsing for them without signing on.
Here's what happens... I use the Flash Video Browser (bought in store... can't remember if it was through amazon, google play, etc.). I search for a show. If they have free versions of that show click on it (I think logging in might allow a higher quality but it looks great on my 7" screen as is). If ever you are confronted with a white screen, in address bar it says "about:blank", I hit the back button (I use the back button on Button Savior from Google Play store). When I hit the back button it plays the video.
If it shows the white screen after you search, similarly the back button will bring you back to the search results. Hope this helps.
As a heads up, this requires root and Xposed/Cydia Substrate. ART users run away!
So I had recently acquired a Hulu Plus account and, as we all know, it is littered with ads! What to do?!?!?! The first thing I tried was AdAway, but that didn't work :/ Apparently the app brings up this error screen when AdAway blocks the ad. So then I installed Root Cloak and applied it to Hulu. Presto! AdAway is able to block the app without detection! Huzzah!
Get AdAway: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2190753
Root Cloak (Xposed): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2574647
Root Cloak (Cydia): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2607273
Doesn't work, as soon as it gets to an ad the app crashes. Says there's an error, if I disable AdAway it works fine again.

I got so excited for this. But this is really old post and certainly doesn't work.
That would be like using ad block plus and hulu on a rooted device. Hulu doesn't care about root. It needs the ads or it won't work.

You can block it with this program.
Is this any different than disabling them through Android without any special apps?
I was not able to disable some of the bloatware apps from AT&T through Android. With this program I could disable anything I wanted to.
You can disable anything you want to without using any program. Settings -> Apps -> All apps
And you can disable stuff there. Including Facebook and Twitter, which you can't disable through launcher.

Which drivers did you use? 815's? I don't see ATT 810 listed there. Thanks.
EDIT: Nevermind, after a few tries the G4 propmted me to load drivers onto computer. Just had to say yes.
I tend to use mainly Googles apps as opposed to LG's apps. The main culprits like my-t mobile are gone, but I dont use googles movies, games or LG's music and smart card. I have half the apps I started out with. The only LG Apps I like are the clock and camera. I cant wait till we get root at the very least, then use titanium backup and uninstall all of the bloat for good.

Has anyone had success blocking Youtube ads on stock firmware?
So far I've tried the youtube Adaway xposed module (Link)
Adaway root app (Link)
With MOAB ad block list (link to list from this thread Thread Link)
Sideloading a modded youtube app (Link), doesn't have a TV layout, and no controller support.
Has anyone had any luck blocking youtube ads? I was really hoping the xposed module would work, I've asked on the XDA thread for the module about adding support for android TV youtube and haven't gotten a response.
So now running 3.0 stock (not even rooted). I'm still getting Ad's in youtube, but now they're un-skippable, I hope someone can figure this out soon!
the old adblock android block youtube adds half of the time, but it create tons of other bugs soooo not that good.

Sucks. I was hoping to keep the device stock as pursuing roms often ends up with other issues and constantly manually updating, and after spending so much time putting roms on my phones I think im done with that.
If anyone has a stock solution, i'll donate, because **** getting 20 identical unskippable ads a day.

adblock browser then watch YouTube from the desktop site. you can set it as the default option in YouTube site itself.
you just need to side load the browser app.
or buy YouTube red.
or pay OG YouTube no add function.
If you are rooted and don't mind installing xposed, since a couple weeks ago youtube adaway module now works with the youtube Android tv app.
Enjoy.
Been watching YouTube app for about an hour now, not one ad.
Stock rom, rooted, using adaway (just the apk, not the browser, not using exposed)
Update....literally watched for hours (3+) yesterday and never saw a single ad.
Btw, I was using MoaAB until recently. I found it was really affecting loading/buffering times with certain addons in SMPC. Redid my entire setup again, this time using just adaway and issues are gone (as well as the ads)
Particularly twitch -- on my old G3, I had Adaway, and it did an amazing job of blocking all ads from twitch, but now it seems that without reliable root (I know we just found root for the OG Pixel Verizon) there isn't a good one that covers all the bases.
Twitch is pretty ruthless with their ads, multiple times lately I've been in the middle of action watching PUBG and bam -- 6 ads pop up. Their algorithm is stupid that it doesn't control for activity or let the broadcaster play ads during downtime.
Does anyone have a good method of blocking Twitch ads and generally other ads? I don't like how Adguard makes you use those weird-as-**** web browsers, I wanna just use Chrome...
Blokada.org

Google bans all the full working ad blockers from the store. So any that you get or test will have to come straight from the developer.

I don't use those local VPN adblockers as they use a lot of battery.
