Does anyone know if this dual sim version of the phone will be getting an international release?
I know the S4 Mini dual sim is already out, but I'd rather get an S4 with actual S4 advertised functions.
I'm very tempted to buy this from China and root it, but I hear that it's pretty unstable. I'd much rather wait for an international release, but I also dont want to be waiting around for nothing...
If anyone has heard anything or any opinions on whether markets outside of China will ever see this phone, please share your news here.
Thanks!

I doubt it, I own i9502 dual sim, it's stable using SVA ROM, it's just the battery life that worries me (I Think it might be just the ROM).
If you want international release, get the S4 Mini Duos (i9192).

Yeah, I was thinking exactly this, I was about to buy the Mini Duos but realised that I was basically getting the same phone as I have now (S3) with dual sim and paying the price of a new phone for it. As the S4 Mini has almost none of the features that the S4 is advertising.
The retailer told me to wait for the S4 Duos to be released internationally, but when I asked him if it was even planned, he had no idea.
I would be interested to know about the stability of the SVA rom, I read the whole thread (the one starts with "Wonted") and it seems people are having issues with caller ID and battery life. I'm also not very experienced with rooting and all that so I'm really torn about whether or not it's worth buying.
Hello
I am from India and I've been trying to purchase a Galaxy S5 from ebay. There is one available with a trusted seller with a good price but the model is S5 Duos and model number is G900FD. I know Indian versions are supposed to be G900I. So my question is this: Will the same custom ROMs for Galaxy S5 work with Galaxy S5 duos? or is there a slight change in the source files that makes it incompatible with s5 roms and leave me at the mercy of Touchwiz forever?

DID u buy the phone? id yes how is your experience with it , please share.
No they aren't compatible. You could flash the custom roms but you won't have network signal after. Though there are a number of custom roms for the dual aim variant if you want.

Hello, If you dislike touchwiz you can still install a alternative launcher. I did not try on the GS5 but I had a GS3 before and I succefully replace touchwiz by Apex launcher. Once the alternate launcher is started you can still kill samsung one.
Has anyone bought this, I wanted to know the performance and battery backup

I ended buying G900F the European version, even though I'm in India. The phone performance is fine, benchmarks as per reviews. And it came with Lollipop which added some features that they havent advertised before such as 4K video recording. Getting regular OTA once per 1-2 months on average. Can't say anything about the dual sim version because I didnt buy it...

From where did you buy it, I am also looking good this one only bit since it is not available thinking to get the dual SIM
Also what is the battery backup you get on lollipop...

Was hard to obtain actually. Got it from ebay finally but its a version without warranty becuase technically its smuggled. As for battery backup, it loses 10-20% over a day without using 3g/wifi, 40-60% over a day while using either of them. The screen is absolutely brilliant.
I am also thinking of getting it from eBay which seller did u buy it from and how's the screen on time you get with it
I am returning my G900H to flipkart and would get refund, I am thinking to either get this or Xiaomi MI4

Hey guys, I purchased a N910C which ended up meeting a grim fate but they mainboard was still working fine * tested it on a friends 910c chassis. My question is with the variant with Exynos vs Qualcomm will there be any issue ( service and connection ) with installing a Exynos N910c motherboard on a ATT N910A chassis?
** I am aware the N910C is missing a band for ATT but just wondering of any faults since they are both GSM models.
Thanks in Advance.

All note 4 variants are built on the same size chassis. As long as you use all N910C modules, there won't be any issues after installing the motherboard on the N910A chassis-any variant in this regards.
I understand if If swap everything out it will work. I am speaking of the situation where the mainboard is swapped and nothing else. So N910C mainboard and N910A everything.
That is my concern.

I know this answer is old, but yes, the phone itself will still work, with the exception of anything camera-related, since the Exynos variant uses Samsung's ISOCELL sensor, while the SD805 ones use Sony's. Which means you'll have to replace the camera sensor too if you want a fully-functional Note 4. Learned that the hard way with my AT&T Note 4, using motherboard taken from the N910S variant.
I just put a 910f mainboard in an att chasis and everything works great so far
So my motherboard is toast (yes, I'm positive) and I'm shopping around for a used one. Since I'm pretty sure all versions of the S8 use the same internal layout & connectors I can probably put any version motherboard in as its replacement.
That being said, which model motherboard would be my best bet for the following:
-Must support T Mobile USA (all the bands they utilize) if unlocked
-Has the best ROM support
a third bonus would be having great worldwide band support since I travel, given it's already covered my first requirement (having all t mo band support).
Thanks.
Well your kinda hindered a little bit because you have to go for the snapdragon variant of the board.
There is root but there are issues with it, and as far as I know not many people are developing roms for the snapdragon variant.
Also the snapdragon variant probably isn't going to work world wide, just like the exynos version doesn't support American bands, the US variant won't work in European countries

Are you sure they aren't pin compatible? I'd be somewhat surprised if Samsung actually had two board produced (but maybe). If this is confirmed by teardown or whatever then thanks for the info

I have a bad S8 plus board and my friend has a working one but it's S8 not Plus....can I use S8 board to replace S8 plus ?
Has anyone from India bought the snapdragon version ? does jio work in it ?
I'm also trying to find this out. I've got S9+ and want to upgrade to S10+, but after hearing about exynos idle drain, was thinking of buying Snap 855 version.
It'll work, but you won't get VoLTE, Samsung Pay etc because of CSC...a lot of folks from India had the same issue with the S9 too.
Just stick with the Exynos, it's designed for your region, and all the features will work for you.
