I recommend to provide a bbs dump file according to the instructions https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809
I came here to ask the same query, Glad to see, I'm not the only one facing the same issue. My phone is showing around 50% mobile standby drain.
I tried to downgrade to 7.0 but I couldn't. Even I can't flash custom roms now. TWRP is showing error 255.
In short I'm stuck with this rom & nothing to do about it.
same here, i think i will go try downgrade

Are you trying to flash 64 bit custom ROMs (also labelled as arm64) when getting the error 255?
If so, you need a 64 bit TWRP - either Lyuu's TWRP or rajat's TWRP will suffice: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...recovery-twrp-3-2-1-unofficial-touch-t3722206 or https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...t/recovery-team-win-recovery-project-t3842903
What error are you getting when attempting to downgrade to stock 7.0? (Be warned, do not accept OTA updates whilst downgraded).
I can't send bbs dump file

Depending on the file you might need to use a cloud storage like google drive or dropbox or you can copy the text from the file and post it on pastebin
Hope this helps
Im having the same cell battery drain, even without a sim card its draining battery, i tried doing factory reset but didnt helped. I also opened the device but didnt foun anything bad internal so... I dont know what it could be.

I signed up but no email back or anything since.
I'm actually based in the UK. I constantly check for updates but nothing yet.
I signed up yesterday, but i don't receive email from lenovo.
Well I got the update 3 days back. I am glad to say battery back up is a lot better. Also reduced the heating issue.
Does it voilate warranty ? Fedback of update , specially cons , as its a daily driver.
Thanks.
The review of update is also available. Check the link below for more details.
http://thinkflag.blogspot.in/2017/04/lenovo-z2-plus-official-nougat-update.html
I can say, the heating problem is reduced, battery back up is much better. As for the new features I guess screen video recording and split screen are the 2 features which is noticeable easily. I didn't find anything special other than this.
Also one bug I found is how it shows duplicate notifications for emails and chats from whatsapp allo etc.
For each message it shows 2 notifications which really clutters up the notification area.

I am not facing this calls issue. Another good thing about the update is the upgrade for the camera software. Notification bar is a complete mess. I asked them why don't they stick with the Android 7.0 default notification tray. Go ahead and ask them yourself or call them and let them know.
May be they will listen to us once they have had enough complaints before they release the final version.

You have to replace the updater-script of the ota zip file with the one provided in that zukfans thread
and then try to flash via stock recovery
Just copy the "update.zip" to the root directory ( the path which is the first when u open ur sd card).......

Hi all. I have a G900I that has been rooted and has TWRP. I tried flashing it with AICP 7.1.2 using TWRP after copying the rom to the root of the phone (sdcard doesn't work). It appeared to flash fine and then rebooted. No it gets to show AICP changing colours across the screen. Now the only way to turn it off is remove the battery. I can boot into recovery or download mode fine. Booting into recovery isn't much use because I can't access the file system. What I need is a tar.md5 rom so I can flash it with Odin. Any ideas where I might get one? I have tried Sammobile but for some reason when I try to download it asks me to log in but when I log in and go to firmware it logs me out.........sounds like a standard Samsung boot loop.
This is what I've used ever since my S3 Mini days: http://live.samsung-updates.com/index.php?device=SM-G900I
Download may be slow but it definitely works without any registrations

Thanks for your replies but samobile started working. I got the ROM and about to try it. Will let you know how it goes.
Looks like I am back up and running. Thanks guys. Now time to try and stuff it again.
Can you suggest a decent simple ROM. I don't want a whole lot of fancy crap, just something that allows me to make phone calls, take pictures and play games.

Try Resurrection Remix 5.8.4 (the second latest build). Currently lineageOS has some CPU scaling issues which will waste battery needlessly.
I'm currently using LineageOS 13 (previously called CM13) mainly for better battery life and stability.
I have been trying to install Lineage 14 and it keeps getting to about 90% and just sits there. I will try the resurrection one soon.
Also what is the crDroid one like?
I will give the resurrection one a go. I have been trying the Lineage 14 one and it keeps getting to about 90% and just sits there.
You can wait a bit and flash MagmaROM once a stable version for the G900F comes out.
Whats the difference between an 900I and a 900F?

G900I and G900F have the same SoC, but only the NFC chip is different. If you flash a G900F ROM/kernel on a G900I, you only lose NFC.
Well I have got the resurrection ROM on but now Smartswitch says it is not compatible. I can't get all my contacts back.
I have tried 3 different ROMs and I still can't connect with Smartswitch to get my contacts and messages back. Any ideas? Is there another way to get them?
Also Windows 10 has started recognising the phone. This never happened before.

Pretty sure smart switch is only for official firmware, as with other Samsung software. I usually only backup my contacts on Google, but for messages, I'm not too sure (since there really isn't a solid backup tool that I trust).
I got most of them back from an old phone so not many lost. Only problem now is I can't seem to place the contacts widget on the screen. It keeps disappearing.
Hello guys, thank you for helping!
I have a N910F that was working on a Lineage OS 14 ROM, I've decided to downgrade it to Marshmallow (It was Nougat) Stock ROM, I did that on Odin and wiped the user data and everything was working fine..
until one day the phone got back on 0% of battery and it just wouldn't boot normally, it was stuck in bootloop, I went and downloaded a Lollipop firmware(Because the MM ROM was deleted) and I flashed the ROM via Odin, and now the phone is stuck in "Recovery Booting..." maybe each boot is like 3 seconds or 2
Please help

Oh, I see that hotlinking message now. Lol, I had tested the link but was worried something like that would happen. I updated the other post just in case anyone else is looking.
Yeah, just unzip it and flash through Odin.
I have a N910T, but perhaps someone in the thread I link to will be able to advise if this can help you as well.
This is the only method that helped my Note recover from the recovery bootloop, constant random reboot etc. To be honest, Fire Kat v21 is actually pretty good....very fast and nearly all of my apps still work on Android 4.4.4.

I've got similar problems. Even Odin flash didn't brought the device further. My battery was completely dead so I supplied with an external powersupply (around 3.9V).
That also doesn't work. I needed to add 2.4kOhm resistor between battery GND clip and thermistor clip to fake the non existing thermistor.
If you've got some electrical equipment at home give it a try. It worked for me.
Else you can try a new battery.
Besides that reboots occured after that again. Now I'm going to test the famous Wakelock app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.thedarken.wl&hl=en. Nearly all reviews are from Note4 users there. Really sad...
EDIT: Can you measure your battery voltage with a multimeter?

So you flashed stock ROM with Odin via download mode, right? It's exactly the same behaviour as my phone had. Entering download mode is working flawlessly - recovery isn't working. It booted up, blue font "recovery booting" then turns off and on again. Endless loop.
Did you try charging the phone some hours? Is offline charging working?
Another thing you can try is the fridge. https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/help/bootloop-fridge-t3155586 or here https://www.reddit.com/r/galaxynote4/comments/4to05k/note_4_freezer_reboot_trick/.
Just search for note4 and fridge

If that helps (I hope for you :good you need to install the wakelock app afterwards. For me this worked (at least for the last day.) Without I had spontaneous reboots (especially when using the cam).

Hi everyone, I owns a Black, Made in China variant Mi A1, bought it almost 10 months ago so it's in brand new condition.
A night I was using it as regular, watching YouTube, It suddenly restarted automatically, and stuck on 'Android One' boot animation.
I wasn't doing any heavy or intensive task, was not having any issue except storage full. The device is on official stock rom and on June security patch with Android 8.1.
I've tried >?1. Apply update from ADB in recovery mode with June update, which gave me -> E: footer is wrong. E: signature verification failed. Installation aborted
>?2. Apply update from SD card with the same update as above, which gave me -> Couldn't mount SD card
Bootloader is locked, USB debugging is off, no custom recovery installed.
Is there any way to make it work again without erasing user data? I'm familiar with all kinds of Command Line Interface and with almost every tech term. Any help would be appreciated.?
I think only Miflash, with first nougat rom works for you. Save user data. Works for me, after I tried Lineage OS.

Without reason? Probably THIS is the reason. I think your problem is related to data partition and a flash with Miflash can't help you. Only a factory reset can solve this.

When memory is almost full R/W errors can occur.
Maybe 90% you see is not including temporary-swap files, so that you are dangerously close to 100% storage filled.

I've probably messed this thing up just about as badly as I can.
Here's what I can tell you:
Update: I just figured out that you are supposed to put dload onto a separate sd card, So i'll be trying that when the phone comes out of it's coma XD anything else you can suggest is very welcome.
- The phone currently isn't turning on after messing around in twrp(tried to restart into bootloader)
- While trying to get it working, it is now showing up as CAN-L11(likely from trying some backups of others)
- I was unable to use ANY roms I tried. full update files didn't work. always error 7
- It seems in twrp that I'd often get this error: mountencrypt failed to mount /data, despite wiping /data many times
- I've tried using iso files extracted from some update.app, and using that to get system and data on there, as well as recovery too
- I was switching between twrp and default recovery to transfer files and then use dload to try to recover the system, never let me do it though. got to 5% then told me something like: "Getting package info failed". it would do this in the download and recover mode as well when I would hook up to the internet and it would also give me that error.
You are free to ask me any questions about the device.
I think I just need to drain the battery then I should be able to at least get something out of it, but until then, if anyone has any recommendations after it's functional again let me know. Any help is appreciated.

Yeah, that's why. The model name can be changed in build.prop, but you're still using a CAN-L11 ROM though.

You haven't flashed the TWRP mentioned in the first post of their thread, hence you've got that error which is basically telling you that you're trying to flash the ROM on an unsupported device (the phone's codename / model is mentioned in TWRP and ROM checks for it), but actually it's working on all models.
- It seems in twrp that I'd often get this error: mountencrypt failed to mount /data, despite wiping /data many times

That occurs because TWRP doesn't support decryption. You have to format data, not wipe. You can format it from TWRP > Wipe > Format data.
- I've tried using iso files extracted from some update.app, and using that to get system and data on there, as well as recovery too

What happened after you've tried that?
- I was switching between twrp and default recovery to transfer files and then use dload to try to recover the system, never let me do it though. got to 5% then told me something like: "Getting package info failed". it would do this in the download and recover mode as well when I would hook up to the internet and it would also give me that error.

Try to unplug the cable from PC. Also, note that I've read in past somewhere that the firmwares from Firmware Finder has to be approved by Huawei and if it isn't, then the stock recovery will fail to flash it. Other Huawei phones has modified / patched stock recovery which allows to flash unapproved firmwares though.
