[HELP!] Stuck in "RECOVERY BOOTING.." Bootloop - N910F - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys, thank you for helping!
I have a N910F that was working on a Lineage OS 14 ROM, I've decided to downgrade it to Marshmallow (It was Nougat) Stock ROM, I did that on Odin and wiped the user data and everything was working fine..
until one day the phone got back on 0% of battery and it just wouldn't boot normally, it was stuck in bootloop, I went and downloaded a Lollipop firmware(Because the MM ROM was deleted) and I flashed the ROM via Odin, and now the phone is stuck in "Recovery Booting..." maybe each boot is like 3 seconds or 2
Please help

Any help guys ^^?

Here's a link to the latest sm-n910f from updato.com. Maybe the 910f can't be downgraded from MM to Lp.
It's this firmware:
GALAXY Note 4 SM-N910F 6.0.1 MAY 25, 18
United Kingdom (EE) (EVR)
N910FXXU1DRD1
Edit- Link is broken, please go to updato.com for firmware.

It says Hotlinking is not cool xD
-EDIT- Found it ^^
Do I flash it normally in Odin now?? Just boot the phone in Download mode and put the ROM in Odin and start flashing?

Oh, I see that hotlinking message now. Lol, I had tested the link but was worried something like that would happen. I updated the other post just in case anyone else is looking.
Yeah, just unzip it and flash through Odin.

I have a N910T, but perhaps someone in the thread I link to will be able to advise if this can help you as well.
This is the only method that helped my Note recover from the recovery bootloop, constant random reboot etc. To be honest, Fire Kat v21 is actually pretty good....very fast and nearly all of my apps still work on Android 4.4.4.

I've got similar problems. Even Odin flash didn't brought the device further. My battery was completely dead so I supplied with an external powersupply (around 3.9V).
That also doesn't work. I needed to add 2.4kOhm resistor between battery GND clip and thermistor clip to fake the non existing thermistor.
If you've got some electrical equipment at home give it a try. It worked for me.
Else you can try a new battery.
Besides that reboots occured after that again. Now I'm going to test the famous Wakelock app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.thedarken.wl&hl=en. Nearly all reviews are from Note4 users there. Really sad...
EDIT: Can you measure your battery voltage with a multimeter?

Thank you for your help man ^^, sadly.. I don't have any electrical equipment to measure the voltage, I gave up on this phone.. it's a great phone but the software side is just bad.. :/
I can't even use that app because my phone won't even boot up normally or even go to recovery booting, I tried everything with Odin, what's left is ADB but I don't know how to use that.. do you? Ty!

So you flashed stock ROM with Odin via download mode, right? It's exactly the same behaviour as my phone had. Entering download mode is working flawlessly - recovery isn't working. It booted up, blue font "recovery booting" then turns off and on again. Endless loop.
Did you try charging the phone some hours? Is offline charging working?
Another thing you can try is the fridge. https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/help/bootloop-fridge-t3155586 or here https://www.reddit.com/r/galaxynote4/comments/4to05k/note_4_freezer_reboot_trick/.
Just search for note4 and fridge
You have a fridge, right?
If that helps (I hope for you :good you need to install the wakelock app afterwards. For me this worked (at least for the last day.) Without I had spontaneous reboots (especially when using the cam).

[N8013] HELP!!! Trying to go back to Stock

So I had flashed my n8013 to the Germany n8010 4.1.1 firmware using this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2048213
Then today I tried to restore back to UEALH2 n8013 stock:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2100971
Now I've landed myself somewhere in limbo and I don't know if my battery will go soon or not. I have it plugged into the wall so maybe it'll pull a charge i have no clue. I'm stuck on the Android screen with the blue orb and the blue status bar stuck somewhere around 25%. At one point I had it stuck on the pulsing SAMSUNG screen in what it seems like doing nothing. I've tried getting into recovery to do a factory reset and cache clear and when I do that and hit restart it doesn't restart. I've tried flashing the UEALH2 files again and right now the Android is where I am.
Can anyone save my skin please!!!
Here is what you do
Go into recovery do a complete wipe
Download the rom from here http://www.hotfile.com/dl/178484761/092fdea/N8013UEALI3_N8013XARALI3_XAR.zip.html
and Flash it with Odin, should work fine

Well if it's not doing anything leaving it stuck isn't going to help you. Unplug it and shut it off. Restart it in recovery by pressing power and volume up at the same time. Choose "wipe data/factory reset." That should get it back to a running state, probably the German ROM you were trying to replace. Someone posted a theoretic MD5 file of the whole new U.S. JB ROM. I haven't heard from anyone that's succefully installed it yet. I'd wait for the "all clear" before attempting to use it. In the meantime, assuming you're back on the German ROM after a reset, you're better off loading the U.S. ICS ROM via Odin and then use Kies to update to U.S. JB.
Check back in if the reset via recovery doesn't get your Note working again.
Can't reach stock recovery
Vol+ and Power only restarts it. It won't go into recovery. If i hold the power button it just restarts. I just need to get it charging and I don't know how. I don't have the german files on me at the moment.

Can you get in to download mode via "power/volume down?" If you can then just install the U.S ICS ROM to get back to a working device.

As long as you can get in to download mode you'll be fine. Just use Odin to get back to ICS and then Kies to update to JB. We can do a post-mortem to figure out what went wrong after you're off of Defcon 5. Nothing gets the heart rate up like potentially borking a $500 device.

K, downloading right now. I actually spent the $9 to get a month subscription to hotfile to download faster. Not helping much as it's not my best bandwidth but i hope it works!!
Holy s*** it's aaaaa-live!!! It's alive it's alive!!! DEF-CON lowered now. I had another UEALH2 rooted tar on my machine and I cannot remember which forum page I downloaded it from sadly. I had downloaded it back in August on the 24th. It's dated the 22nd of August. The other tar I downloaded was dated the 22nd also but it was different somehow. The name scheme on this one is UEALH2_rooted_system.tar and it worked. Unlike UEALH2_prerooted.tar. That one almost screwed me up! I need to find where this original file came from. Either way I'm back on ICS and plugged into a wall. It's taking me through all the initial setup crap right now so it's hard to tell how low I got it but I started this night flashing with about 56% battery. And when you start with half a battery you start regretting things shortly after when you botch something up big time!
Edit: BTW at no point during the "brick" did my tablet ever lose charge. Infact it even gain charge! I guess these tablets can pull charge in download mode or something. Either way I'm glad it's not almost to zilch!
Spoke too soon. This is the one where the touchscreen stops working. FML... Still downloading the HotFile link of the image Barry sent.

Question for Barry: What is the difference between the hotfile link you provided and sammobile firmware?

Well heres the worry about the charging I had. Motorola phones are not very forgiving to charge unless youre booted or on the battery charge screen. Thats why I was freaking out. I kies updated from that same botched image and it seemed to resolve my touchscreen issue. Time will tell. Only problem is now I forgot to protect root before the update so superuser doesnt know where to find the binaries. Does the CF Autoroot still work with 4.1.2? If so ill just use that.
Either way, enough problems cleared for one night. Im going to bed. Gotta wake up for work in the morning.

Hopefully nothing. Mine's just the direct link to the Samsung-Updates upload. Where files exist in both places I post Samsung-Updates version because you don't need to register.
BTW thank you guys. It's always good to know that the community is looking out for each other. I think once I'm "100%" stock TriAway and all I ain't flashing to a different stock base again. Lol. Although I do like the stock German folders vs the crappy US ones that are literal folders that are ugly. Guess I need to find a new launcher. And Barry thanks for helping me enjoy 4.1.1 in the meantime!

desperate help finding the right stock rom please.

My phone just suddenly stopped working earlier today.it was running the latest omega rom with the latest modem and boot loader. ...
I cant get into recovery either. When I try it just reboots and goes to the samsung boot screen.my phone is a sim free insurance replacement and im not sure what stock rom to flash...
Could some nice soul just tell me the exact rom thats needed.
Its a uk based I9505 .
Please some one help as im away from home atm and have no way of contacting anyone.i have laptop and a dongle so can at least download and flash.
What ever has happened has corrupted it somehow.
I can still get into download mode how ever.
Id be eternally grateful if there is some nice soul to.help me
Just download and flash this with the latest Odin. Boot in download mode.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=33356
This is the latest German FW that Omega is based. It has the "OXA" Multi-CSC, which also includes BTU (United Kingdom)
After flash you will not have any problem retrieving all your data, as long as you don't factory reset.

If it remains on the Samsung boot logo, then try to flash the same firmware with the .pit file and "Re-Partition" flag checked in Odin.
If still doesn't boot, then you have to enter recovery mode to wipe data/factory reset the device

Hi,
I have reported this thread to be moved to the right Q & A section where you might be able to get help quickly.
Good luck.
You flashed a custom rom?
well did you check the bootloader and modem?
example: your old firmwara was based on a coh4 and the new custom is based on coj3.. then you get bootloops.
In this case please download the fitting bl & modem to your rom!

Trying going back to a 5.0.1 firmware
N910PVPU3BOF5 ( I pulled that from N910P) Didn't remember Sprint model number.
So if I'm wrong find the correct model of sammobile and download 5.0.1.
See what that does. Bootloader should not be locked so it should be possible,

I have spent hours trying everything with no luck. Sprint store will not help... pretty frustrating. Let me know if you find a solution.
Have you tried a new battery yet?

me too, i also have a bootloop for a couple of months now. tried literally every single combination of bootloaders/modems/kernels/ROMs . i can't even get into recovery, but can get into download mode.
do you guys think trying another battery may seriously help? how could a new battery help getting out of a bootloop if download and/or recovery mode work fine?
I don't think another battery will do anything. I think it is all software. I can flash CM11 btw, so you should try that. But my system is extremely unstable... it works... but is beyond frustrating. my smart watch wont work.. have to restart phone throughout day.... so many problems I cant even list them all.

A battery? How in the world would that help? That makes no sense... no offense, just sounds like you are asking someone to unnecessarily to spend $$$ when it is clearly software.
I'm having the same problems and want to know if op has tried it so I'll know if it's been ruled out of the problem thats why. Ok so it's software. You have the solution. No offense.

Were you able to get it fixed? I'm probably going to go to a phonerepair shop this weekend or next week and see what they say or can do.

S7 Edge dead. ( Hardware problem? )

My phone turned off a few days ago and not power on in any mode, button combination, no battery charge...nothing. In the next day it give me a signal of life and it's enter in download mode. Than i flashed the stock firm with Odin. Wen all was finnished, during the first configurations, my s7 freezed and restarts. And suddenly died again, no boot, no power on, no nothing. Today, again, new "signal of life" and i flashed again the stock firm. Every thing, ok, boot the system, and in a few minutes, restarts and "death". But this time i can enter in download mode, stock firm again, and now it's feezing in "update system" screen. It's freezing in recovery mode too, and it's dead again. I know that in some hours it will back with a single signal. I want to know what i have to do . For years i flashed firmwares, custom firmwares in my phones and never had a problem like this. Help!
Thank you and sorry for my bad english.

Hey !
This happened to me so often, been fighting with this problem for months now and finally (i think) found the solution.
I can tell you that this problem occurs when u are using Nougat ROM! Yes, believe it or not, but since downgrading to Marshmallow i never ever faced the problem. Check it out and give it a try !
Let me now please, if that helped you!

I tried to downgrade, actually, i flashed the MM, but when the Odin finishes the flash, the phone freeze in the first blue screnn ( erasing, update system ) after this: bootloop, download mode don't work, and then the phone "get tired" and dies completely for about 12 hours and the this cycle restarts. I'm already giving up.

Did you flash with Home_CSC? If yes, dont use HOME. Use the other one. Try to flash 2 or 3 times, and after the flash finished, instantly while booting go into Recovery and Wipe Everything. Then the phone should bootloop around 10 minutes, but after it should start normally.

I'm don't using HOME CSC.
As soon as he gives a sign of life, I'll try this trick.
Edit: Didn't work, it's freezed in this screen. Even if i try to enter in recovery mode, this screen goes first.
It's your mb. I had the same problem. I had to take it to Samsung and they replaced the mb. Plus, the Phone almost exploded while charging and made me almost get fired from my job because it frozze. I was so mad, that they sent me the Phone back with a letter of apologies.

Yeah i know the feeling. When you have visual defects with Phone freezes and overheating its related to mb and tbh, be carefull because my Phone was super hot when it frozze while charging. Just try to replaced the mb asap. There is no point in trying to fix it since its not software related and might explode on you.

Whoa! that's nice!!!
I sent my s7 by mail to the web store that I bought so they could evaluate his situation in order to get their guarantee. I'm still waiting for a response.

Note 4 boot loop (no acces to recovery)

Hi so first of all im kind of a noob when it comes to this so please explain any technical jargon
It all started a few days ago when my note 4 started rebooting on its own, it did occasionally get stuck in bootloop but a battery pull fixed every time, I hadn't rooted it or did anything that could break it that way just normal media consumption. About 2 days later it started to get stuck on bootloop more than half the times it rebooted (again all without a reason) Currently it doesnt even show the boot animation and i can't access recovery mode, I can access odin mode tho but i flashing it twice didn't help
I have the uk O2 version (SM-N910F) with a powerbear battery that doesn't show any signs of wear down
Any assistance in getting my phone's software back to "out of the box" conditions would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thank you for your time and patience
Did you flash stock rom(latest) successfully through odin? Did odin show 'success' message after finishing flashing?

yes and yes, I used the latest stock rom from sammobile and it did successfully flash but when it tries to go to recovery mode after that it just goes to bootloop again (it shows the "recovery booting..." in blue at the top)

I am not sure what's wrong, but I would install a custom recovery and try and install a custom rom to check if everything works right, if it does then maybe try and flash stock through odin again.

Mate, the 910F is a Snapdragon - famous for it's eMMc problem. You may search about this and get more info.
In short, there's a big chance it's not going to get to work again.
Sorry for your loss.
The problem seems to be caused by the eMMc chip
Is there a way to fix or replace it without expensive equiepement?

btw flashing TWRP or any recovery doesn't work so i'm pretty sure it's the eMMc chip
If it really is your eMMC chip, you are better off trying to get a new device. The eMMC chip isn't removable without a lot of time, effort and risks. Also you'll need a head Gun or something and a new identical chip that will cost you a new device worth.
