Is this mean that RN7 wont get Developer ROM? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Questions & Answers

I found this today:
https://www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-miui-beta-for-budget-redmi-smartphones/

The answer for your question is already mentioned in the thread if you read it slowly..
"Xiaomi has announced that July 5th onwards, it will now be limiting MIUI betas to smartphones which are less than a year old."
& as Note 7 is released in January then it will not be affected.

You is need to read carefully

Thanks for the link although there is a section on the forums dedicated for the Note 5.3 phone and a thread dedicated for the Note 2.
Also, it'll probably be announced the 29th but not released until late October/early November - just like the original Note was.

Nougat update

Anybody have information about the upcoming Oxygen 4 update? Some article said february but nothing so far. We should start worring that we wont get nougat?

if not just use custom rom :fingers-crossed:
No News. Oneplus does not communicate with owners of older Phones. But i can imagine that they are annoyed because of the dozens of threads asking for a ETA on the Nougat update @ the Oneplus-Forums.
I dont know who, but one of the Oneplus-Employees said it will come. Thats all we have

Great news guys Oreo is actually and confirm

Nothing new but wrong interpretation!
The guy who wrote to support said that he wants the update till August, 2nd.
And the service man said they are doing their best but maybe it won't be [email protected] this wanted date!
So nobody said that we will get Oreo on August, 2nd! Simply wrong information
yep, as soon as I read "august 2" I recalled that the guy who asked for some reason chose that date.
the website appears to be a blog or something and I don't know that ZTE actually confirmed this through their official channels.
so that "news" is, at best, someone's wishful thinking, sorry

Someone posted this also on the zte forums. And i already explained there that the article makes false promises as the employee in the source simply apologizes in advance that the update might not be ready as soon as in august 2.
Now it sounds like the official Oreo update may not be ready before the next flagship. I don't appreciate the lack of updates for the situation from ZTE.
Any news about Oreo? Sanctions seem to be fully lifted.

It's confirmed and they're working on a beta update as far as I know.
I'm the guy who wtote ZTE and asked if Oreo would come for the AXON 7, the A2017G model to be specific, so I'll explain.
I didn't ask because I wanted it by August 2nd, but because at the time there was a temporary ban lift that would have ended August 2nd, so it wasn't just some random date.
I asked because I'm a moderator in a ZTE Facebook group and wanted some info for the members, because they were asking about Oreo a lot.
But the ban was fully lifted before August 2nd and I got the reply after the ban was fully lifted.
I hope that clarifies it for you guys.

Will Mi A1 get android Q

It is sure that tissot will get Android P by end of 2k18. I am curious whether it will be lucky enough to get Q update being an Android one phone(software support is for three OS versions).
No, flash custom ROM and be happy.
We cannot tell for sure. Let's start the petition NOW and make it happen ?
No it wont.

First of all, Android Q will NEVER BUT EVER be released in May 2019. At the very best may be announced and some selected devices be granted with a developer preview (obviously Pixel devices). The final release to the public will yes, probably be in October 2019, but once again firstly for Pixels and then other high range phones. There is no way that Xiaomi will release Q on the fly right on October, and much less for our A1, when they have the A2 and (probably) an A3 by that date.

Since we have treble support(Unofficially)we can get developer preview once its released to pixel devices!
I flashed Custom ROM (Android Pie, LR) and using it as daily driver. Android P for Mi A1 officially is still a long way to go.
This is a catastrophic knowledge. While others are thinking about Android Q, we are not sure if we are going to get Android P.
really shame and injustice.

android p is confirmed for A1 -_-
I just want stock ROM to support the recording of videos at 30 FPS in low light conditions, without any mod or something like that. only that.
I would not mind when they release android P if not for that reason.

Where is the evidence of this?
Do you have any?
Why do you ask such things, if your statements aren't even well documented?
Have you seen any info from Xiaomi team about rethinking their decision about keeping MiA1 "un-trebled", switching their ideas just to take the funny P, carrying with all the process of repartitioning each device's drives, all inside of an update pack, with free support? → no matter which risks people would suffer if something just goes wrong with such update.
Xiaomi won't be riding such horse, when it is already running away.
In resume...
Mi A1 with Q, thanks to unofficial Treble process? Possible.
Mi A1 with P, thanks to official Xiaomi update? Keep dreaming.

Mi A1 with Q, unofficlaly possibly happening.
Mi A1 with P, thanks to official Xiaomi update IS HAPPENING.
Sources: Google guarantees two years of major software updates and three years of security updates. That's what Android One is. You can also see that everywhere.

Let me explain it another way :
When someone (in this case Xiaomi) is under a contract (think of the Android One Program as a contract), they (Xiaomi)
are by definition forced to obey some rules (2 years of major Software updates, and 3 years of security updates) set by the other party of the contract,
which in this case is Google. When you buy a device branded as an Android one device, then you are guaranteed those things, and that is why you got
the Android one device in the first place. For those reasons the Xiaomi Mi 5X IS NOT GUARANTEED ANY OF THE ABOVE since it is not an Android one device, despite being literally
the same device hardware-wise, it could never get Android P officially, and Xiaomi could stop providing security updates at any point.
EDIT: ALSO THIS ONE
Stay fresh over time
Mi A1 ships with Android Nougat, and will receive 2 years minimum of OS upgrades. And since Android One users are among the first to get new OS upgrades when they’re released, you’ll have access to the latest features and innovations even sooner.

Android Updates?

The one thing holding me back from immediately ordering the 6T upon release is my experience with the 5 and Android updates. I am still waiting on the update to Pie, despite it's wide scale availability and other devices being updated already.
Does OnePlus plan on changing their software update cycles to match someone like Essential?
We would all like faster updates, but android pie is not widely avaiable yet, it doesn't even show up on statistics: https://developer.android.com/about/dashboards/
Not that many devices have received yet, but I agree that updates should already be faster, Essential did a good job.
You can expect 2 year software support for 6/6T is what i can say for now. Rest wait AMA/FAQ's to be shared after the launch for the precise info.

OnePlus devices always have great developer support and the same is going to continue with the 6T. Official support and software updates will be assured till 2020. Official AMA and FAQ's after the release will confirm the same for your satisfaction.
Custom roms will be available since the beginning as soon as the sources are out and developers start getting their units within the 2-3 weeks of the launch, custom roms come in soon. Kernels would come even before infact within a week or two as the sources would be out soon after release which is generally the case when it comes to oneplus devices.
