Voice Match Not Working - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

Voice match toggle grayed out, won't allow retrain or delete voice model, and as soon as I open the Voice Match settings, I lose the ability to use voice match and the ability to launch assistant by long-pressing the home button.
If I reinstall my ROM, during set-up it goes to set up Voice Match, but then just says "Google can already recognize your voice. You have a model from another device we will use.", and won't let me change it.
I've tried deleting data from google app, reinstalling opengapps nano, reinstalling ROM. With ROM reinstall it will work until I open the Voice Match settings.

Hey.
Same here with a 5t. Have you found anything new since your post?

Opened google account on pc, found devices I didn't ever have (type devices in account help), changed my password per the "see devices not yours?" suggestion, removed all the devices, deleted ALL voice data backups from day 1, reinstalled my ROM (OOS which has some gapps included), complete factory and user data wipe (after backing up my music and photos) set up phone from scratch and then I could get in and change or delete voice match.
Have not tried in any other ROMs.
Good luck.

Google Voice - disabling it

Does anyone know how to disable the Google Voice integration?
Right now the phone is set on using Google Voice by default and I cannot access the Google Voice icon nor change the settings when placing a call.
Thanks.
What do you mean you can't access the Google Voice Icon? If you mean that you can't find it, just type voice into the search box and it will bring it up.
Once you are in the app, press the menu button at the bottom of the screen and choose settings. Then choose the Making Calls option to change it.
Google voice icon and restoration
I mean exactly what I meant: the Google voice icon disappeared and there was no way to either launch it or reinstall it.
This is what I did to fix it: I did a clean phone from the bootloader and then I set Google Voice differently. I can now see the icon.
Just an FYI I think you can also change all of these settings by logging onto to https://www.google.com/voice

I'm guessing English is not your first language because you first appear to be asking how to disable Google Voice, then say you cannot find the icon, and your fix is even more confusing, saying you cleaned the phone from bootloader and set GVoice differently. Vague. And this whole thread is pointless.

[Q] Android voice recognition stopped working

I've been using tyween's typhoon hd2 android CM7 nand rom, but this problem seems to persist no matter what build I have on my phone.
I used to use the android speech recognition for making calls, bringing up gps, playing music, etc. Worked great.
Now, if I say for example, "Testing 1 2 3", it thinks I said "kbr3" or "kkkkkkkkkkk 3" or other equally wrong things.
I can't use the speech functionality at all anymore, and it's very frustrating.
If anyone had any ideas, that would be awesome.

I am having the exact problem on Nexus S running stock os and this happens in any program that uses voice recognition.
Seems like you and I are the only ones with this problem as doing google search brings no other results describing this problem.
After more testing, this is tied to my main google account. If I hard reset and enter a different google account, then voice search works. Oddly, it doesn't matter if I turn the personalized recognition on or off, so even if you have it off, your account still affects the service somehow.
Anyone know how you would reset your google account's voice search settings? Weird. I think I need to contact google, but don't even know how I would start to do that.
SOLVED!
You can go to your google account dashboard, scroll to either speech or search settings and click the link for "anonymize my speech data" or something like that.
Even if you uncheck the "Use personalized voice recognition", it still uses the previously saved data on your account. You need to clear that data with the anonymize link in order to get it working again. (or use a different google account as your main on the phone, but that's a crappy answer)

Most Mind-Boggling EVO Issues

I have had my EVO for close to 6 months now without ever having an issue. I have been running MIUI for a little over a month and never had any issues. I recently just updated to the newest build, and when i restored all my apps (one of which was google voice) i realized i stopped receiving my text messages. After researching the issue i found a ton of similar people saying that google voice was the cause of it. So i set my google voice up and tested it.. and i WAS able to get my texts but only if i use the Google Voice. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall it like 50x, and i've gone onto google.com/voice and disabled it and re-enabled it 50x. I have checked the box that says 'Allow text messages to go to this phone' or something like that, I've checked every possible setting on Google Voice.. Nothing. So i figured okay, I'll do a full factory reset back to Sense. I DID THIS, AND STILL NOTHING, so then i did a full factory reset, and didn't sign into my Google Account, still no texts. Basically it's like Google Voice has taken my phone number over and is not allowing my text messages to go through and no matter what i do to disable or uninstall it, nothing works.. I have to use google voice to get my texts.. So then i contact Sprint and i've spoken to 3 different reps who have tried everything from their end even attempting to remove google voice from their end to get my texts to go through. I've done everything but change my number. Right now i'm on sense and Another thing i realized is.. I cannot do the ## commands in the phone dialer.. Like two commands i know are ##DATA# and another is ##MSL-CODE# but when i type them in .. the phone dialer just hangs and freezes and no menu comes up. I've done almost 5 factory resets, I've tried not logging into my google account on my phone, I've uninstalled google voice from my phone and from my PC.. Sprint is telling me that they'll waive my 100 fee for the insurance phone, but since i run MIUI, the new insurance phone wont be able to be rooted and i'll be stuck with SENSE and i do not want that. DOES ANYONE, ANYONE AT ALL Have any clue what-so-ever that might be the cause or any hack or possible thing i could do to fix this, and why do you think that the ## codes are not working on my stock sense rom either? Everything else on my phone works entirely fine except receving texts through my native app and using those codes on my sense rom in the dialer. I can't receieve texts on MIUI or Sense through their native apps... the only way to get them is through Google Voice.. Please anyone! HELP ME!
Google voice did that to me, too and I had to work my ass off to get it to go away!
Finally, I went to the website and my settings and got it to stop doing text messages, and then I called the number you call to get it to stop handling my calls.
Here ya go

That's because the phone number is associated with Google voice, not your account, so a factory reset wouldn't help pas the number is still there
Nevermind, just ignore this post.

Google Now Launcher - forced to use as BT voice dialer

Brand new S5.
I have dragon mobile assistant on my phone and want to use it as my default device.
I had previously used S-Voice as my default, so I installed dragon mobile assistant, went into default applications and cleared S-Voice, and lo and behold when I hit the button on my BT headset it popped up a prompt for which program I want to use. I chose dragon and set it to use always.
At this point everything is working perfectly.
Google search updates(including the new google now launcher), and suddenly every time I hit the button on my BT headset it opens the google app instead of Dragon.
I check the default applications and Dragon is still listed as the default.
I went into Apps and cleared all the data and cache from the google search(defaults was greyed out), and went through all the other google apps as well and I cannot find any way to get it to allow me to set my default application. The new google search app overtakes all others and does not give me the option to get stop it. The only thing I can do is disable the google search app, and that disables all of the google now functionality, etc.
How do I set my default application for the voice dial and BT trigger?

Can't get Google Voice to respond

I have a US996 running super v20 4.1 I can't figure it out it just won't respond to voice commands every time I do the voice match set up and hit sentenced it takes me right back to the page where you enable it and it's off I've tried wiping the phone reinstalling the ROM I've also tried a fresh install of the us99610p but nothing I do seems to get the voice command to activate
I just went through this. Uninstall the update for the Google app, then train your voice, install the updates, retrain again.
That's what worked for me.
Good luck

I have the same problem on my h918. Already tried uninstall google assistant and reinstalling. Haven't found anything to get the voice training to stick and voice match to stay on yet.
Once google assistant is disabled, the phone responds to ok google, but only on the homescreen with the google search bar...even with voice match disabled.

Don't really have a solution, but you're talking about Google Assistant, Google Voice is their VoIP phone/texting app

Not sure how google voice got in the mix. The new google voice training is called "access with voice match" which is disabled. when you try to enable it, it goes through voice training. After voice training it is still disabled

I'm having this same issue. I uninstalled the update and retrained my voice several times. It's still disabled.
