Does anyone know how to disable the Google Voice integration?
Right now the phone is set on using Google Voice by default and I cannot access the Google Voice icon nor change the settings when placing a call.
Thanks.
What do you mean you can't access the Google Voice Icon? If you mean that you can't find it, just type voice into the search box and it will bring it up.
Once you are in the app, press the menu button at the bottom of the screen and choose settings. Then choose the Making Calls option to change it.
Google voice icon and restoration
I mean exactly what I meant: the Google voice icon disappeared and there was no way to either launch it or reinstall it.
This is what I did to fix it: I did a clean phone from the bootloader and then I set Google Voice differently. I can now see the icon.
Just an FYI I think you can also change all of these settings by logging onto to https://www.google.com/voice

I'm guessing English is not your first language because you first appear to be asking how to disable Google Voice, then say you cannot find the icon, and your fix is even more confusing, saying you cleaned the phone from bootloader and set GVoice differently. Vague. And this whole thread is pointless.

I'm looking for application which will initiate Google Voice callback. But there are few requirements:
1. Callback has to be through internet connection
2. I should be able to select 2 phone numbers from the list stored by Google, just like I do in browser
Basically I want to do this:
1. Start application and it will login into my Google voice using 3G/WiFi/Edge
2. Select 2 numbers to call. They are stored in Google Contacts. Having "Smart dial" would be nice.
3. Press "Connect" button
Is there anything like it ? Application, not browser version of Google Voice ?

This is where you should post your request.
And yes as far as i remember there was a GoogleVoice Application, but doesnt work outside USA and Canada.
Thanks. I wish I could move it somehow.
It seems that most apps, like GVDialer dial my Google Voice, enter password and then - initiate a call
This is NOT what I want. I want Google Voice to call both numbers and join them. That is it. Just like you can do it on www.google.com/voice
Sorry Easy SMS is the only one I remember.

Thats for SMS. not calls
So what you want is a conference call initiated with Google Voice.
Hmm. Can't help you with that, but thought I'd clarify your request.

Exactly. Initiated via internet connection
So I installed a google voice application so I can make calls, not receive them, through GV.
After the app's setup, and people call me on my regular cell phone number, the call comes through google voice instead. When I place a call or txt someone, it uses my google voice number.
I uninstalled the app and its still the same issue. How do I stop google voice from taking over my phone? I only want to use google voice when I want to, not automatically.
Login to your Google Voice account and click the gear in the upper-right hand corner then Voice Settings. In your Google Voice numbers, find your mobile number and see if it says "Google Voice Enabled" next to it. If so, then when you were setting up the Google Voice app you enabled Google Voice integration.
^ as above. Go to voice.google.com and log in. Top right - go to Voice Settings. Beside your # deactivate your number and then re-add it with Google Voice LITE. Lite is the key. I can't remember the exact steps though.
I have a Nexus 6P running the latest version Android 6.0.1. However, it is very odd that I never had this issue with my Nexus 6.
I have a car that just has a simple phone button (Bluetooth) to press which makes a sound and at that point I can simply say something like "Call Tom Brady". The phone usually uses my Verizon network to call the contact without any problems. I have been noticing that for a lot of my contacts 'Google Now' is trying to call them via Google Voice. The phone literally says calling so and so via Google Voice and then never connects. I don't know if this is because these contacts have a Gmail account or what, but it is very annoying and it never ends up connecting.
I bet if I uninstall the Google Voice app everything would work, but I need it for my visual voice mail.
One thing I have already tried is in the Google Voice App settings change it to 'Do NOT use Google Voice for any calls'.
This did not fix the issue.
Is there any Google Now settings or Google Voice settings that anyone can think of that might help me here?
Hi.
first of all sorry for my english, i'm from italy and i didn't use it for long time.
What's the question? on my galaxy s8 i don't understand how to disable "ok google" in app. The always listening is successfully disabled, so (for example) if i'm on facebook and i say "ok google".. nothing happen. But if i'm on the homescreen with the searchbar widget and i say "ok google" the voice search is activated. The same happen when i'm in the application of google.
I disabled all, the guide of google itself is different by my menu of the google application: it says go on settings>voice>Ok google detection> disable "from the google app" but on my phone i don't have the setting "from the google app"! how can i do? i Want to disable it. Help.
Thanks you
Same here, i don't know how to disable it

I am not using "Ok Google". Have you tried to disable Google app? Swipe up from the homescreen, find google app, tap and hold the shortcut and then when context menu appears, tap "disable". If you don't want to disable, then you can clear data of google app.
on the S8 you can go to settings -> General Management -> Language and input -> on screen keyboard -> google voice typing -> Voice Match -> turn of "ok google"
Still not disabling it in the widget on the main screen. Still activates when I say it.

Think I figured it. I don't have the Google widget but mine device would still respond to me saying Ok Google on the home screen , even if I turned off Google voice assistant.
I had to turn off / pause voice control.
Google assistant settings then phone then top right corner Google activity control. Then pause voice and audio activity. Once I rebooted after that I received a notification that I had unenrolled in the service.
I have a US996 running super v20 4.1 I can't figure it out it just won't respond to voice commands every time I do the voice match set up and hit sentenced it takes me right back to the page where you enable it and it's off I've tried wiping the phone reinstalling the ROM I've also tried a fresh install of the us99610p but nothing I do seems to get the voice command to activate
I just went through this. Uninstall the update for the Google app, then train your voice, install the updates, retrain again.
That's what worked for me.
Good luck

I have the same problem on my h918. Already tried uninstall google assistant and reinstalling. Haven't found anything to get the voice training to stick and voice match to stay on yet.
Once google assistant is disabled, the phone responds to ok google, but only on the homescreen with the google search bar...even with voice match disabled.

Don't really have a solution, but you're talking about Google Assistant, Google Voice is their VoIP phone/texting app

Not sure how google voice got in the mix. The new google voice training is called "access with voice match" which is disabled. when you try to enable it, it goes through voice training. After voice training it is still disabled

I'm having this same issue. I uninstalled the update and retrained my voice several times. It's still disabled.
