Hello,
I get this forum is for mainly mcus, but I didn't find any better place to post this. The question is, is there a better application to use with this dvr camera : VicTsing 1080P https://www.aliexpress.com/i/32968920075.html ? It uses some custom Chinese app that honestly quite junk, so I tried a few new but those didn't seem to work.
So, has anyone had experience with this or found a working app for it?

Since it's now possible to install apps in the Q, I was wondering if there's an app for streaming audio directly to the Nexus Q from your computer or something like that via WiFi. Like WiFi speakers. Do you know any app that can do the job?? Would it be difficult to develop?
I think something that uses AirPlay would work well enough. I haven't tried it though - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bubblesoft.android.airbubble&hl=en
I'm planning on trying this out this weekend to see how far I can get (and possibly putting together some sort of AirPlay receiver service specifically for the Q).
After a little search
After a little search I found this. The only downside is that the server is Windows only.

Seems Iphone user's have the ability to post pictures and videos inside the same frame on Instagram. The application is called "PicPlayPost"

Seems to have been out for a while now. I was wondering if there's an app similar to this for Android? I can't seem to find any. Just wondering. Thanks.
Try moving this topic to the android thread as it's not device specific cause I'm wanting to know of such program exist as well.
Hi,
any experienced Developers out there with RTSP or other Streaming Protocol knowledge?
Hoping to get some insight in this field.
I am currently in the process of having an App developed, that will connect to the WiFi network of a camera, which has a WiFi module built in.
You could say it is similar to GoPro's App, as it includes functions such as remote controlling the camera (record/stop), switching between 4 recording modes, as well as reviewing the footage of the camera directly on the phone through the App.
On top of that, the App live-streams while the camera is recording, using RTSP.
How hard is it to maintain the App to constantly be compatible with the latest Android version? Are there fundamental parts of the code that would need to be changed from Android 4.3 to 4.4.2 for example?
Hello there!
As the title says i'm looking for an app to remote control my Nexus 5 wich uses android 5.1.1 and mobizen is not supporting inputs on it. My mouse won't work on it and the staff says they are working on it. But I need to capture my device for gaming/YouTube purpose and need an APP which can pass with high bandwidth(USB, because via wi-fi will possibly delay/buffer on 1080P)
Mobizen does exactly the work and i couldn't find out another app. Also my device is NOT ROOOTED and mobizen works on not rooted.
As an alternative i'm recording internally on the device using "Shou" but it reduces my FPS, my device get more hot faster and I can't have any more APPS or games or musics on my device due to low space during the recordings. BUT i can't record my cam while i'm looking down to the device(can?).
So getting my monitor which is ultra wide with full screen from my device which is 1080 and record with NVidia shadow play that records the entire Desktop while recording with my web cam C920 would be really great.
Hope someone knows any app that could do that without root(If rooting the device i still can receive updates via OTA I would go for a root) but if You only know rooting needed APPs put it here so I can think about rooting my device T_T.
Thank You very much for Your time, hope posted it on the right place.
@edit Just noticed...its in on the wrong place. Sorry....... this is HTC section.
Can someone please move the topic? I can't delete it. sorry.
I wish I could post this in the Developer section, but the XDA forum wont allow me to as a new user, so it will have to go here instead. Hopefully it gets viewed by someone that can help.
My question is whether the new upcoming firmware (supposedly being worked on by Mad Catz), or any other unofficial firmware (CM12, Android TV, Remix 2.0) will ever have support for USB webcams to be used for Skype, Facebook Messenger, Camera, etc.
So far, I have had great success at getting apps from the Google Play Store to recognize both the video and audio drivers to be utiliizd in the app for taking pictures/video. However, the Skype app doesn't recognize the webcam because it isn't built-in like it would be on a smartphone.
Would it be possible to trick the firmware into thinking a USB webcam is a built-in camera? Or would something like that require further firmware support? So far, I can't find any apps that will do it.
In addition, I have found information elsewhere that relates to this same subject for other android TV boxes, which seems to prove that this stems from the firmware.
