From past 2 months my Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 3gb varient was suffering from poor ram management issue.
The issue is u open a heavy app or game like pubg and than you switch to another app for few minutes and when u switch back to that heavy app or game, it starts over, it loads from scratch.
Fix: Clear Cache Partition.
Steps:
1. Firstly, switch off the device by pressing the Power button for a couple of seconds.
2. After that hold down Volume Down + Power keys together for a few moments.
3. Release the Power button when the ASUS logo appears.
4. When Recovery Mode shows up let go of Volume Down.
5. Select Clear Cache Partition by Volume key.
6. Press Power to Confirm and YES.
7. Now Select RESTART and Press Power Key.
:good: Done GOD JOB. Now U can play Pubg from where u left even after 15m or 30m maybe more if u don't die.

Safe Mode -Nexus by Samsung
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Safe Mode temporarily disables all applications that have been installed via the Android Market. Performing this troubleshooting step is necessary to determine whether a 3rd party application is the cause of an Operating System / Application issue. Safe Mode should always be performed prior to a hard (factory) reset.

If you're here at XDA, it means you flashed a ROM or two (or 10... 20... 1434240 )
If you've flashed any ROM, you probably encountered SOD's before.
You probably took out your battery and put it back in, in order to restart the phone.
But, recently I found out that you could just press and hold
Power Button + Volume Up Button
to restart the phone! (hard coded reset )
So as the title said, it won't prevent any SOD, but will sure make them feel less painful!!
hi,
i usally just press my power button for a few seconds and it reboots as well - i dont know if there is any difference if you press volume up as well.
best regards, dv
Correct procedure is: Home button + power button.
No, dervaganund is right. You can just hold your power button for a couple of seconds to shut down your phone, or hold it longer for about 8 seconds to reboot your phone. No need for volume or home buttons
Just got the 4.3 update this morning and the first thing I noticed is that the WiFi is having issues. It says its connected to my network but i get no traffic. I have rebooted the router and N7 and it helps for a few minutes but if the tab goes to sleep it will not reconnect. Everything I have read on other sites say its a known problem that Google knows about but this is a really annoying issue. Are their any fixes out there? I have a non- rooted N7 but I will root it immediately if there is a fix.

I guess you never had this issue again?
Thanks!
I accidentally totally discharged my N4 and now t has been on recharge for over 2 hours.....when I turn it on now, the little battery displayd appears to be FULL.....BUT.....it does not start up like Normal. Is this Normal? Will it start up as it used to - after some more time? I HOPE so - this is my 2nd one.
Thanks, michael
Hold the power button longer, for about 3-4 seconds or hold volume down pressed and than press the power button. It should power on in bootloader mode, simply press power again and it should boot into system now.
