does any one have this issue of their max pro m2 stops charging at 70-75% and shows fully charged and notification light turns green.
i have everything from clearing system cache to hard reset of phone but this issue is still there.
it started from the last oreo build(last update we got before stable pie update for non-beta users).
only way to charge the battery to full is by removing and inserting charger cable again or by switching off the phone.
please tell me if there are any one who is facing the same issue.
I had the same issue, I used to turn off the mobile and plugged into charge for 10 minutes and turn it on when the charge limit crossed the 78% it charges like normally with red charging led on.
yea,i do that to charge my phone

i have been thinking to install a custom rom and see if this problem exists with custom rom so it will be clear that the problem is with the software

Yeah , actually I moved to Havoc os ROM which solved everything and have more customisation.

Does your phone heat up while charging?
The phone is equipped with thermal sensors for protection that if it reaches certain temperature, it cuts off charging until it cools down. Charge your phone in cool dry place.
It happened to me too when i charged it under my pillow. It became really hot and stopped charging.a good feature but sometimes misunderstood. Is it the same case foe you?

no,i dont think so,phone used to charge normally before the last oreo update, from the last oreo update, this issue is seen in many max pro m2 phones,it is also clear that this issue is happening only in official stock android not on any custom rom.
it is sure that the software has bugs.

Has anyone ever had an issue where by their battery life is at say 59% and when i plug it in to charge rather than the blue charging icon appearing it just showing the battery being 100% and the LED doing successive double flashing as opposed to a static LED like i should be if it was charging?
I've not installed anything, flashed a new rom etc, was fine yesterday.
All i did was have a little play with CHTEditor.
somethings not right, it must be something to do with me messing about with CHTEditor
out of the blue my lock screen had gone, and it says i have a voice mail waiting when i dont. haha
Hard reset i think
update...
hard reset not worked...uhoh
Same problem here
I was in a phone call an al of a sudden everything just went black and rebooted. Turns out the phone stopped charging and flasing green and red. Battery ran out of power and the phone shut down. After the reboot the phone charged normally again
Another situation:
Phone started acting up again and endend in a reboot. Battery was empty and i made a phone call on the charger. during the phonecall the same problem happend again, but the battery was at 9%. I intended to unplug the charger and plug it back in, but after the unplug the battery jumped to 0% and shut down.
So, i think the battery is acting up. Having to charge the thing every damn day is finally taking it's toll.

yep, using the original battery, it seems to be ok now, charging as it should.
ahh well. cheers for the reply
one last this, how the hell to i get the lock screen back, i think im being dim.
edit
sorted
I have a program BsB Tweaks that has a setting for the lockscreen. Try that.
My phone is also charging fine when turned off, also it functions fine at the moment. i think it has something to do with overloading the device when the battery is low. Based on that its not possible to turn on any phone when the battery is in attached but the power is, i think everything is drained from the battery while charging it and that when overloading the battery just doesn't pull it anymore.
i don't have a alternative battery, mine is original.
What are the symtoms when the battery is at the end of it's life? does it do this, or is it supposed to give a warning or something?
edit: i am unable to find a manual page describing the different modes the LED could be blinking. I'm curious what is says about the red and green blinking mode. Does such a page exist?
I've bought an aftrrmarket battery and I have problems cahrging it.
It often shows itself as "fully charged", the led blinks from orange to green and it does not charge.
Whe in windows mobile, it shows 100% (not true) , but if i tap the battery icon i see the real percentage.
It does not recharge also when the phone is off.
BUT
I have noticed that when i am into android mode (one of the ported builds) the battery charges ...
SO
I think there is something preventing WM to charge the battery when it is 100%, and this control is missing in android.
now the question:
is it possible to "force" the charging in WM so that it bypasses the "100%" problem (like in android?).
Thank you in advance
I think an orange and green light means theres a problem and it cant charge,
I have an unofficial battery that does that too......
no, as i told you, there is something more.
when i am in wm or the phone is off, cahrging is almost impossible (orange and green led, wm icon showing 100% charge even if the battery is 1%).
BUT
if i switch to boot mode (vol down on startup, hspl screen) or if i am in android, THE BATTERY CHARGES.

So you are trusting android, in beta on these phones, over the default battery charging software?
I hope you don't blow up your battery.
Do you still have the original battery? Does it charge properly in WinMo?
I don't know if this is any help but... I also bought a very *ahem* low priced battery and experienced the same problem you mention. This was before android was stable so I have yet to try that, but I was able to fully charge the battery in winmo by putting the phone next to the air-conditioner. My thought when I read your post is perhaps that winmo is running the phone hotter and inhibiting battery charging. Somehow, I feel as though I'm grasping at straws...
'Force' and 'lithium-ion battery' should probably never be in the same sentence.
The flashing LED is an indication of overheating, thus the system stops charging until the temperature drops.
Try charging it someplace cooler.
If that doesn't work, the a method I read about is to run the phone until it totally flattens the battery, then put it on a full charge for at least 4 hours.

Darn, I knew I forgot something
I have one original battery which the phone came with, and THREE oem chinese batteries which look exactly the same, except for the lower barcode which is tinier than the one on the original battery.
I only charge them outside of the phone, with an ac mains charger, and they go to full 100% since it's what the phone say when I switch them.
Whenever I charge them in the phone (only time it happens is when I'm in my car and use the lighter charger) it's just math, they end up in the green-orange led loop, and they stop charging.
It's well known and it's related to overheating, but at least they do not drop as well, which means I can go on and use them for gps navigation or any other task and the battery will stay at the percentage at which I left it.
I also have the same behaviour of OP, that is, taskbar icon says the battery is 100% and NOT charging, info panel after tapping taskbar reports real percentage, S2U2 reports real percentage in green, which means S2U2 sees it as charging. Anyway, as soon as I go home, I wait for the battery to drain to at least 10%, switch it out and slap it into the mains charger.
My oem batteries last up to 3 days.
I have the official HTC extended battery and with the latest chucky rom i have been using it wont charge in the phone anymore. It always used to with no problems. There is something missing software wise that prevents it from charging.

Is the middle pin of the battery contacts bent or different to the others?
The green/amber flashing means "charging problem" which can be due to overheating, but also can be due to an incompatible battery.
When I got my HD2 with the original O2 ROM, the HTC large capacity battery wasn't compatible, this required a ROM update.
If you're running stock, make sure you've got the latest ROM.

Nope it seems fine. It charges the standard battery ok.
As I said im running Chucky ROM. I had something like 21st July chucky ROM on and it charged. Update to the 11th August ROM and it wont charge. Tried the 5th August the same. Havent had chance to go back to the 21st July one to check.
Incidentally I dont have green amber flashing lights. I have alternate Green and Red flashing.
The battery charges perfectly well in my desk charger and runs the phone fine it just wont charge in the phone.
Hey does anybody have a solution to this unique problem. I always have a hot battery whenever I use WP7 and is indicated by the alternating orange and green lights in the notification every time I charge the phone after using it for some time. It doesn't charge in this state as well.. I have read some where that because of the over heat the phone has to be left to come to room temperature and then used.. But this is very frequent for me and rarely or never happens in Android.. I have tried all the WP7 ROM's and searched in the forum. Is there any concrete solution.

the solution is cool the battery before charging again or you have a bad charger/battery. if still happens with android then by logic there is an issue with the battery/charger. the other issues is you should try not use the phone while charging. of course the battery will heat up.
Yeah, I understand that but why only with WP7.. And all I was doing prior to this occurrence was texting and setting a few things up.. That shouldn't heat it up.. And it doesn't happen on android.. It happens very rarely in Android when I have actually loaded a lot of apps.. And I can feel the back is a little hot in wp7..

well what can we tell you? i haven't read anyone else having constant charging issues esp after using the correct charger or swapping batteries. you may have some app installed that's constantly running in the background that is sucking up power causing the battery to heat up.
besides, asking why only wp7 and not android...they are different operating systems that work differently. why don't you ask someone at Microsoft wp7 development. of course, the hd2 was never meant to run wp7 officially.
and it can be an issue with the version of wp7 you're using...my experience is that some roms run hot.
I remember this happened once to me BUT i'm not sure whether i wan on WP7 or AnDy or even using the 3rd party battery I got.
i was puzzled why the orange/ green light was flashing alternately
will try to replicate it again.:fingers-crossed:
It happened to me twice (since I've installed WP7.5 8773, two days ago). I thought it was normal, since it is charging the battery as it should.
The only matter is that the battery sensor is strange. Today it only charged until 85%, and when I switched off the cable it went to 100%, and yesterday I spent 30 minutes with 0% due to my trial to meet the phone with the real 0% of the battery, so it can calibrate itself.
Try to turn off the phone and then put it into charge. It worked for me the first time I saw this issue (because it is so annoying when you try to sleep in a 100% dark place with the phone in a glass transparent table).
i have weird issue with my redmi 2 prime i plug the charge and leave the phone charging it charges to 75% and after that the notification light is gone and the phone stops charging and i tried to disconnect and connect back and then it starts charging again ,, this is getting annoying any solution??
Me also but it was solved by using Customs ROMs or using Greenify or Amplify
I also have same problem.. Suggest me something if u find a solution for it.

Cause it heats
If it's cool it will charge
Happened to me when weather temperature is very high
me also got this issue
i also got this issue but i finally come to know that it is due to high temperature. After updating to 8.2.1 redmi devices start getting hot very soon.

i had this problem when i was using MiUI rom, i must switch my phone's power to off for it to charge normally. i've switched across to another custom ROMs and it's working just fine, just my personal experience!
actually my phone's battery is old and now its not charging anymore. my phone only works while charging and battery always stay at 50% and in 2sec it goes to 80% and when i got a call it turns off. and phone market is 25km away from my home and I can't goto the market for 2 days. so currently i unplug the battery connector and plug the charging in and using the phone is it safe to using phone this way because i don't want to damage any components of the phone.

Im not sure if my battery is old or not coz i bought it this year but facing the same problem after flashing Twrp through PC and installing custom rom. Even with fast charger its saying charging slowly and right now im using it with 0% so its fine to use it while charging i guess. It might have something to do with the rom? I don't know... I'm gonna download other rom and see if it can be fix. There is a problem with mounting '/Vendor' too.. Lol!
you can check the battery health with this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ezlapp.battery.testing
maybe its battery problem not with rom.
i checked the battery health and it shows Very Bad.
and my phone turns off even while charging so i removed the battery and plug in charger and turn it on now its working fine.
