Where are Metro Apps Installed. I know there is a folder in Program Files\WindowsApps but Are they User related or System Related? Or they are like Preinstalled and get installed on new account creation?
Also I see a lot of folder of the same Apps with different versions. Is it safe to remove older versions (folders)?

Apps are indeed placed in "Program Files\WindowsApps"(all apps) I have removed the older versions with no noticable issues. To delete a current App, simply flick up on the app tile, (be it on the start menu, or in all apps) and select "uninstall". Note that this will only uninstall the latest version of the app. You will still have to go to "Program Files\WindowsApps" to delete any prior versions.
Ok with that, thanks. But I uninstalled and want them back, how can I reinstalled without Store? BTW I'm using PC, not tablet.

Ummm... you can't reinstall them without the Store. The store is how you install apps... that's the point of it.

OK, and why the heck the older versions are leftover? they use unnecessary space.
The original versions of the built-in apps persist so that any newly-created user accounts will be able to install those apps. Additionally, if you already have multiple user accounts on your system, but they have different versions of an app installed (for example, because they were never updated on the other accounts), the leftover versions will be present as well. There may be some other circumstances where old app versions stick around, too... it's not fully understood. Bear in mind that sometimes empty folders will stick around, consuming trivial space but appearing at a glance to indicate entire apps left behind.
Mind you, this has all been discussed before. Please search before posting.
Hi recently just notice a new folder keep created but not too sure which app is making this "lenovoReaper" folder in my note3..
Its come with a file "DID" wihich is 31byte only.
Does anyone came across this mind telling me what is the actual app created this folder?

Probably the lenovo camera and gallery app..

Can't be the whole community haven encounter this folder as mostly my apps tool is quite popular as cleaner master, mal ware bye, cm anti virus to name some them.
Having googled Lenevoreaper - and why didn't you do that, by the way? Too much effort? - it seems to be a game. And however many times you bump your post, if no-one else has replied, they don't have it, irregardless of what you believe. So accept it.
Why so many antivirus apps? Do they conflict? 3 seems like overkill.

Not to make thing too complicated, I did Google for it but it's didn't came out anything related to this folder.. FYI I had no games installed at the moment so it won't be the reason for it.. I installed 3 different cleaner softwares as 2 of them for malware/virus and last one is just cach/junk files cleaner.. I also did tried uninstall 3 cleaner apps but still it auto created the folder itself, factory reset and even done re install OS also non of them work..
I wonder is this folder a android system folder as I'm using 4.4.2 NE4.
This a folder used for the advertising built into any one of the "Lenovo Groups" apps available in the Google Play Store such as SHAREit "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lenovo.anyshare.gps&hl=en"
which if you have installed and later removed any of "Lenovo Groups" you can safely remove this folder.

am having the same issue with my Nexus 5 running Lollipop. When i installed and removed themer app, am getting this kind of folder with a did file having size about 31 bytes. It is coming again and again even after deleting and all my folders were having a .nomedia file in it automatically. while after connecting to my PC am unable to access any of my personal files like photos audio messages , everything is blank. I dnt know why, may be its a virus or worm. I even done factory data reset still the problem persists. please help with any solution
I now have this folder on my phone. No idea where it can from. I have a Samsung not a lenovo. SDmaid doesn't pick it up as a corpse. It's a mystery.

Hey there, i too had same problem. I googled it ..... And i came to know that lenovo's ShareIt app creates that folder........I suggest you to uninstall that app ...your problem will be solved .....i read somewhere about this.... ...

i keep on deleting this folder but it always returns

I have a Pioneer in-dash navigation unit installed in my truck, which uses the AVICSync app from the play store to get traffic and POI from the web.
I have used this app on other phones (Note 7 and OP3) with no problems. When it comes to the V20, I get an error every time I install it, which also breaks the functionality of it. I was wondering if I am alone with this problem, and if it a Nougat compatibility issue.
I was hoping someone else could try to install and run app on their V20 and see if they have the same error come up when installing....

UPDATE: So there IS a problem with all Nougat phones, friend verified same error on a Pixel XL. Pioneer was notified if anyone gives af.
I had it installing on my new Pixel.
There is a jp.pioneer.mbg.avicsync folder in /sdcard/Android/data where app data should be installed. The issue I had is that while installing the main data, the app is supposed to download many zip files and place them on a files/ux folder. Download fails and I had no ux folder on my new Pixel. I retrieved the missing files from my old phone, cleared cache and re-launched.
App seems normally installed now, I will check with my AVIC-F77DAB later.

Could you share / upload those files somewhere? I returned my old phone and did not make a backup of those files
Arnold - Thanks for the info. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 which I recently reset and unable to get Avicsync to install again. It was working on nougat prior to the wipe. Luckily I still have my previous phone and was able to snag the UX folder off it. Once copied across and an avicsync cache wipe the program worked as it should. Can't believe Pioneer can't be bothered to support nougat with their app. Came across this thread googling for a solution.
Guys I know it sounds crazy but sometimes when my phone is in charge and connected to WiFi my apps gets deleted. Now this happens as soon as play store updates some apps. And the crazier part is that my data stays intact. All I need to do is install the apk/download from play store and it's the same as before. The most affected app is Facebook, and then WhatsApp plus and canary (please don't tell because it's modded cuz Facebook and chrome canary aren't modded but same results). Now I'm on Lineage os the latest build with elementalx kernel. And no apps like greenify. I'm on the 43 variant(Indian) with open gapps (mini) and I clean flashed it.
The log I took was just after I realised that my apps had gone(not sure exactly when they were uninstalled but right after I realised) just unzip the file and you should have it.
AND YES THE POST SOUNDS CRAZY SO PLEASE DON'T TELL THAT. -_-

Same thing happened in resurrection remix latest build.
Whatsapp uninstalled automatically. But the data remains intact. I only installed apk of whatsapp and get whatsapp as i leaved.
Apps are also crashing in r.r.
If anyone needs more details am willing to help,

This is not a ROM related problem, the same happened to me when I used the ExtSD_Fix_rw-signed-v1.9b.zip which you can find in this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/themes/stock-motorola-camera-t3596659
I couldn't find out why the script in that zip causes apps to uninstall randomly when you reboot the device, but I corrected using this fix for the external-sd write for the camera: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/fix-motorala-camera-write-to-externalsd-t3498573 instead of that.
Also you have to use the regular moto camera ported which you can find on this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/themes/stock-camera-t3540473 but you have to manually delete the com.motorola.*** .jar files on /system/framework/
I made a zip that makes the instalation of the camera and the deletion of the com.motorola.*** .jar files automatically but undfortunately I can't post links that are outside the XDA forums yet. With that you'll only have to apply the fix for the external-sd manually

Hello, I have this strange problem I am using RRN 5.8.5 version on my oneplus 3. And my apps randomly gets deleted from the phone. At random times I try to look for the app and its gone. Like youtube gmaps even google keyboard some times gets deleted??? Can some one explain me whats going on ? One of my theories is that when the app ties updating it gets deleted and does not reinstall.

I have the same issue on LineageOs 14.1 on my moto G4 plus.
So according to your post because I used the moto camera zip file and the sdcard fix, I've formatted system, dalvik cache and cache, reinstalled lineageos, addonsu and Gapps but I still have applications that disapear (F-Droid for example). Note: I haven't reinstalled any moto camera app.
So if you have an idea ?

That's because the sdcard fix is what triggers apps to disapear, try a fresh install (formatting data also) and do not use the fix but DO reinstall moto camera, nothing changed for you because your permissions are not defined in the system partition.
I guarantee nothing but try this moto camera, it worked for me because I made it for me, but it implements the latest apk of the moto camera that is available and gets the writing permissions for the sd and does not make apps to dissapear.
I bought a UHS sd to use it as internal storage and do not worry for external permissions ever again but I remember i got the permissions when the sd was FAT32 formatted, and it happened without doing anything but flashing it.
I can't post links to external sources in XDA so here's the key for download it from MEGA just paste it to the end of mega .co .nz /

Hi fellow users,
I am facing an issue where a folder by the name 'migrator' is getting created, at random timings in the sdcard folder.
This started happening around 6 months ago and wasn't too much of problem and I would just delete the folder. It would then be recreated at a later date. Recently, the phone is running out of space and has been slowing down the phone while it is gets created in the background.
I have tried deleting most applications one at a time to find any app that causes the issue, but haven't been successful in finding the cause.
I am rooted with magisk and currently on Oxygen OS 9.0.4
I would appreciate any help to find the root cause and fix the issue.

Looks like you used migration apk (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...pcampaignid=APPU_1_JmCVX6mSINDDz7sPyr-f2A0)to save the data file , just disable the migration helper apk from settings
