Pioneer AVICSync app not working on V20? - LG V20 Questions & Answers

I have a Pioneer in-dash navigation unit installed in my truck, which uses the AVICSync app from the play store to get traffic and POI from the web.
I have used this app on other phones (Note 7 and OP3) with no problems. When it comes to the V20, I get an error every time I install it, which also breaks the functionality of it. I was wondering if I am alone with this problem, and if it a Nougat compatibility issue.
I was hoping someone else could try to install and run app on their V20 and see if they have the same error come up when installing....
Screenshot of error: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0aDw-iJ5oGhM2ZFY0NLVUtLR2s
Thanks in advance!
UPDATE: So there IS a problem with all Nougat phones, friend verified same error on a Pixel XL. Pioneer was notified if anyone gives af.

I had it installing on my new Pixel.
There is a jp.pioneer.mbg.avicsync folder in /sdcard/Android/data where app data should be installed. The issue I had is that while installing the main data, the app is supposed to download many zip files and place them on a files/ux folder. Download fails and I had no ux folder on my new Pixel. I retrieved the missing files from my old phone, cleared cache and re-launched.
App seems normally installed now, I will check with my AVIC-F77DAB later.
Regards,
Arnaud

Could you share / upload those files somewhere? I returned my old phone and did not make a backup of those files

Arnold - Thanks for the info. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 which I recently reset and unable to get Avicsync to install again. It was working on nougat prior to the wipe. Luckily I still have my previous phone and was able to snag the UX folder off it. Once copied across and an avicsync cache wipe the program worked as it should. Can't believe Pioneer can't be bothered to support nougat with their app. Came across this thread googling for a solution.

[Q] error insufficient storage on one app (not others)

Hey everyone I installed smart app protector and wanted to get rid of the ads so I used lucky patcher. Then I decided I just wanted to use ad block, so I uninstalled the app and tried to reinstall to get it back to the original. Well when I try to reinstall it it gives me the space error. I can install any other app but this one. I tried clearing data on play and services, clearing all cache, and tried installing from the actual play website. I haven't tried side loading it yet as I couldn't find a download. I also tried re-flashing the stock ROM but I didn't clear my user data. That obviously also unrooted my tablet. Anyways any suggestions?
Edit I have 3 GB of free data and I tried side loading, same error. Anyways something had to of got messed up in the file system related to this app.. Maybe some sort of left over file or something? When using lucky patcher I noticed it said something about odex file? Maybe it left an odex file or something?
Try:
Rescan SD
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...1bGwsMSwxLDMsImNvbS51YmVydWxsdS5yZXNjYW5zZCJd
Not exactly sure what that's sposed to do but I installed it opened it then tried installing the app lock and still gives me the error. By the way I forgot to mention I have 3 GB free data.
Ok, next thing to try:
Delete all browser history/data/cache.
Empty your downloads folder, use a file explorer and not the actual downloads app.
Also delete all files/folders relating to AdBlock that you can personally find.
Also Clear Data/Cache etc from GooglePlay and Play Services.
Reboot.
Re-download
Install.
Let me know how you get on
Hey I got it fixed. I got a lucky patcher update and when I opened it it said removing unused odex file, then I was able to install it again..
Something to consider about apps which are designed specifically to assist in the defrauding of others:
if the developer has no regard or consideration for other developers, it is a certainty that they will have the same disregard for you.
And you gave them root on your device; good luck with how that all turns out.
RE: error insufficient storage on one app (not others)
Remove odex file that app from root/data/app...
The file will be named like "com.appName...-1.odex".
OR
Just run lucky patcher..

LG L2 32Gb, stock: Insufficient space (20Gb free on 25)

Hello everybody,
Please forgive me if I’ve been not able to find a correct answer to my question searching in the forum…. bun now I’m going mad, so I come with the question (on my LG G2 D802 32Gb, 1x month old, rooted with Kingo, stock ROM, w/out TWRP):
Hello,
My problem is that with my LG-G2 32Gb (model number LG-D802), only rooted, with stock rom, and only a few apps installed, I’m no longer to install applications, as the system reply with “insufficient space” error message.
Actually I’ve got removed most of the images, and no MP3 are left in the handy, but even if 20Gb on 25Gb are still free (please let me know how to get a detailed view of the used space/directories, and I’ll post it here) I cannot use them to install/update applications.
I’m able to upgrade some apps from Google store, but most of them are files below 5Mb…. Applications downloaded from Firefox, or newer install from Google Store, or applications bigger than 5Mb brings in the error message.
Please help me, I’m getting crazy!
Please do not hesitate to contact me for any question.
Best regards,
Marco.
Can someone help me please?
Thanks in advance,
Marco.
Try to delete data and cache of play store and play services, but I doubt it will work. Full wipe is propably the only way to fix this, as far as I know.

Thanx Makrilli!
Which folders are containing cache of play store and play services?
I'd prefer to avoid a full wipe but...... is there any way to backup applications, their settings, system setting and so on, ir order to restore all of them after a full wipe in order to get back the phone with all my items, but without the insufficient space issue?
Look here maybe http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2602234
Also if you go to apps/downloaded on the bottom you see used and free... How much u have there?

In Apps/Downloaded it indicates 5.0gb free on 20gb. May it help?

Go to settings>apps>all (I'm not sure what it is literally as I'm on aosp) and look there for google play store and google play services, and wipe their data and cache from there. About backups I'm not sure as I'm using titanium backup but it needs root to function :/

Using SD Maid i've been able to clean several cache/unused/lost megabytes...
Now Apps/Downloaded indicates 4.6gb used on 20gb, but still cannot install some apps.... .
I don't mean deleting some folder from internal storage. I'd just suggest to go to settings and from there delete the data of those as I suggested. Also try to delete your google account and add it again.

erm so you had 5gb used before and now sd maid deleted something and now you have 4.6gb free ?
can you post a screen shot ? and then take x-plore or (or some other file manager that can do that) and long press sdcard and select properties. its gonna tell us how much stuff you have on your "sdcard"
use a file size tool. Forget which one it was, but you can get all files shown with size and sort them by size wherever they reside. Then you can google which is causing this.
I wager its a logfile thats dramatically increased. edit this one maybe: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gridsizefree

Obviesly everybody on this thread is trying to help you and that's cool. But I really think if you have over 20 gb of free space, I think it's something else than lack of space, I and one of my classmates have had this exact same thing in the past. Only factory reset helped

It starts to be tricky somehow....
Uninstalled old version of Whatsapp, than installed the latest sized 10Mb. (downloaded to download directory with Firefox), and everything went ok.
Downloaded (to download directory with Firefox) an application sized 11Mb, and installed with no issue at all.
Uninstalled gps program Navigon (now in settings/application/installed brings 3,6Gb used on 21Gb free)
Downloaded (from Google store) an application sized 5.0Mb, and error message pops up.
Downloaded (to pc, than moved do download folder) application above sized 5.0Mb, and error message pops up, so i suppose it depends not from the file size, but somehow from the application (i suppose the .apk file will be exploded to a folder that allows not enough space).
Downloaded (from Google store) an application sized 5.0Mb, and error message pops up.
Downloaded (from Google store) an application sized 5.0Mb, and error message pops up.
Downloaded (independently from folder) an application sized 1.26Mb, and error message pops up.
Downloaded (independently from folder) an application sized 13.0Mb (10x times bigger than application above) without issues!!!
Any idea on what's going on in my crazy G2 32Gb?
You could try to copy everything from internal memory to computer and format your internal memory. But I don't know about formating with a pc as I've only done it with twrp :/

Are you rooted? If you are, there might be some remaining .odex files that the system does not need. Install Lucky Patcher, start it, grant it su permissions and it should automatically remove the unnecessary .odex files.
Hi Robogo, you mean to run and than exit from Luckypatcher, without doing anythin else?

When you run it, you should get a notification that an unused .odex file is removed.

[Q] insufficient storage available CM11

hello,
I am having this problem since a week now on my Galaxy S4 I9505 with CM11 rom. When I try to install a new app from the playstore or when I try to update an app, I get this insufficient storage available error. but when I go and look how much space there is available. I see there is more then 5GB+ available in the internal storage. I read a lot about it in several topics and forums and I tried all solutions and nothing worked. I tried emptying my cache, updated the rom to the latest nightly build, emptying dalvik-cache. can somebody help with this problem. its driving me crazy
any help would be appreciated

Hi mate
Is a playstore error
1 Delete the app that is giving you problems at /data/app-lib
2 If the problem continues delete the app at /data/data
3 If problem continues delete also the app at /data/app
You may lose the settings of the app , backup app before you do anything
hello,
thank you for your very fast reply. but the problem does not only persist on apps that need updates but also on new apps I never installed before. so the app doenst have any folder in one of the locations you mentioned. and let me give you another example. I downloaded xbmc apk manually en tried to install it manually and it gave me a similar error like in the play store.

Hi
But what about the ones that need update , did you delete the folders of those to see if it helps?
Also clear data and cache from google play framework
Do you use ROM Manager to create Nandroid backups? Or ClockworkMod Recovery in general?
If so you may very well have your nandroid backup tacking up all that space.
ROM Manager defaults to save your backups in the internal storage and then hides the files so they can't be accidentally deleted.
This results in the file manager showing available space that really isn't available.
Delete the old nandroids or move them to the external SD card to make room.

Arena of Valor can't be installed

Hey everyone,
This is not a super important question, but it still irritates me. I wanted to try out the game Arena of Valor (which hit the German PlayStore recently) and play a round with some friends. But it turns out it apparently can't be installed. (My friends running the default roms on their phones (Huawei etc.) Have no issues at all)
I have an Axon7 running one of the latest Resurrection Remix Builds and I am rooted using Magisk. I have not experienced any other problems with downloading or installing apps from the PlayStore.
But whenever I tap on download, the download of the game starts and (since it is a rather large one) takes a while (I get the normal download bar and everything). Then after a while it says "installing" for another like 5 minutes to then suddenly give me an error message which reads as follows (rough translation from German):
" App can not be downloaded.
'Arena of Valor ..... Game' (full name of the game) can not be downloaded. Please try again. If the issue remains you can get help from the Probelmsolving article. (Code of error: 492) "
So obviously I tried again (for like 15 times now), I also tried rebooting my phone several times and I did search the code of error online and found out that it's supposed to be google-related and clearing the cache of the PlayStore and services could fix this, but it did not for me.
At this point I'm pretty confused, since I can install any other app (I've tried so far) just fine and I am now wondering why this would be. Could it be an issue with root, but then again I'd think it would tell me, as other apps did before. Does any one else have this issue or the app successfully installed on their device? Or does anyone have an idea what could cause my problem and fix this? Thanks for any help in advance!
Cheers

Just tried to download it. It worked fine, installed, started up OK. I'm on stock 7.1.1. B05 (A2017G). I'd suggest You to find the game's .apk somewhere (there are some sites hosting android apps) and try to download/install from there.

Hey thanks for your feedback! I already did that as well... should have added it above :/ I downloaded from apkmirror and another site and got it to start nad was asked to give permissions, but after that everytime a pop-up showed up telling me to download again from google play, since there was some kind of error. So that didn`t do the trick either for me.

Well, I'd say I thought so it'd do that, but it did worth a shot. I'm sorry it didn't help.
Edit: Just got something on my mind. On ine of the stock updates (can't remember which one) download from the Play Store was really, I mean REALLY slow through Wi-Fi. But I realized that if I simply start the download then put the phone in 'sleep' mode by pressing the power button, the download speed is just turns back to normal. It was pretty obvious during big downloads. It was really slow (shown 30 minutes or so for finish), then I just pressed power, checked on it in a couple of minutes and download was done. I don't know why it did this, but it worked every time, maybe you should try that. Other than that, go back to stock. jk.

I guess that app has obb too, so you should install an FTP server on your phone and an FTP client on one of your friends' phones, then go to /sdcard/Android/obb/ and copy the folder of the game to the same place on your phone

Lol no, what Play store does is just download the apk from a database and install it on your phone, then download whatever extra files the app needs. If you bought the app it will also provide authentication in case that it needs to get it.
So basically you can do the same process manually (as long as it's free) by downloading the apk and the obb, then moving the obb folder (named com.devname.appname) to /sdcard/Android/obb/.
Otherwise you can try wiping Play store's cache and try to download it, and if that still doesn't do anything delete its data.
Just checking, is your Axon 7 a Chinese version- the A2017?
I have had trouble downloading large data files for games on this from playstore too... It might have something to do with the fact that google had to be installed from other places and google has a security issue with our devices...
After a few updates, currently on B08, it works. Can download apps that failed prior to this update...

Just to learn something again, what exactly is OBB? And if I download the apk I don't have the obb with it automatically?
And I`m having trouble copying/moving the folder into obb (apparantly this is not supposed to be done)
Is there a way to do it?

Where did you get the obb folder from? Try root browser, even if you don't have root.
The obb is just additional files that the app uses. I guess they need to do that because you's have to download the whole thing if they just updated the app like they usually do. So for a 3 GB game you might only need to download ~100 mb instead of the whole 3 GB when you update it

OBB files are basically the data files., just in a different format. The Obb files will come in a separate folder if the whole thing isn't RAR'ed or Zipped up...
You should have games apk file and a separate folder with OBB files inside.

[BUG] Google Play Store no installed app after clearing cache+data | apps cost again

Hi everyone,
it seems the Play Store has got the same problem as years ago. After a clearing of cache and data, I have and empty installed app list and if I try to download apps bought time ago, they cost again.
I talked about the problem and it seemed to be related with detaching script on roms or apps like iytbp. No solutions found over the internet works (delete and readd the account, clearing cache partition, etc).
The only way to restore it was to restore back a previous titanium backup, data only, from a clean installation or from an uncleared play store.
It happened to me on XXX 9.1 but it's not rom related, 'cause it happened again on a clean installed stock Oreo 8.0 rom after installing iytbp with detach.plz method. But today a guy tried on a full stock Oneplus 5 and it happened the same (no root, no unlocked bootloader).
Can you please try if you have the same problem? After a Play Store backup, of course. I already sent a google feedback about that and, if you have the same problem, a google operator suggested to feedback them about that. Thanks in advance for the attention.
P.S. I tried the same on my Wiko Fever (full stock and updated) and it seems to have no problem at all. It also happended on Nougat, but I have not tested a lot.
Same issue here. I've also used the iYTBP detach script, you say it is caused by this? Have you found a solution? I'd rather not have to do a whole factory reset seeing as I don't have TB.
EDIT:
Found the solution to the problem for me. Not sure if this will fix it for good but for now Play store will update and installed apps show up. This solution requires root access. This is what I did:
1. Make full backup in TWRP.
2. Go to "system/priv-app/phonesky", cut the phonesky.apk (apk file for the Play store) file out of the directory to for example your documents folder.
3. Do a full (regular) reboot.
4. Copy the same apk you just move away form it's directory back to it's place (system/priv-app/phonesky).
5. Do another full reboot.
6. Wait about 30 seconds and the Play store should back on your device and functioning normally.
EDIT 2:
Issue where apps don't recognise that the user has purchased it still persists. After uninstalling the app and reinstalling it this issue got fixed.
