Says my s10+ is rooted - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Questions & Answers

I just got my s10+. I have not rooted it but when I go to Samsung pass in the settings it says I'm rooted. I did restore my apps and settings from my rooted S8+ and that must of caused it. Will resetting the phone to factory setting fix this?

Ok. I think I will do it.it just sucks because it takes forever to set up a phone. Especially since I won't be restoring my apps or settings.

Well a factory reset worked. I just didn't restore my apps or settings.

How can i reset my device

Hi,
I rooted my device because mine was not accepting many market apps. But after i rooted it and tried using market enabler, the market app has started crashing with com.process.vendee and now even when i wanted to unroot the gingerbreak apps is also crashing although it gives super user permissions.
Any idea what to do? I am still stuck at HC 3.0.1. Will a factory reset take it back to factory settings i.e the way it was when i purchased it. Is it like pressing reset button or something else.
pl advise?

[Q] Trouble with factory setting after Rooting

Hey guys,
I'm having problems with my phone right now.
I rebooted my phone to factory setting, and I'm on the stage where I set my phone up.
At the settings page, I keep getting an error that says "Unfortunately, setting has stopped working," and I can't go further.
Any idea on how to fix this?
My phone was rooted before I put it into factory setting.
Do another factory reset.

Make a factory reset. The easiest way to perform a Factory Reset on your Samsung Galaxy S4 is from within the menu settings:
Settings > Accounts > Back Up and Reset > Factory Data Reset > Reset Device > Delete All/Erase Everything.
Please remember to back up any data you want to keep first! In the Factory reset screen you also have the option to Backup My Data and Auto Restore. These are good options to tick before you Factory Reset if you're not too sure how to do this on your own.

MI A1 - Settings app crashing when trying to change screen lock

Today, I noticed that I had once a pattern lock and the phone just opened on swipe.
So, I went to settings and the security was set to swipe (I didn't change it). I clicked on it and the settings app crashed. Everything else in settings is working fine. Its just this thing causing trouble.
So the phone is crashing when trying to change screen lock
Some things you should know
1. I had rooted my phone with magisk manager about two weeks ago
2. I had substratum theme installed and overlayed on almost all apps including settings
3. After the settings crashing problem, I uninstalled magisk and had a full unroot and updated the security patch with a stock boot image
4. Everything else is still fine, but the settings crashing problem persists
I uninstalled all the apps that required root access before unrooting
Now the phone is unrooted back to normal no theme overlays, but the settings is still crashing when attempting to change screen lock and the fact being that it automatically changed to swipe
Any help would be appreciated

Stuck on 'Phone is starting' after updating to Android 12

Hello!
I tried to update my phone (SM-G975U) via Odin from Android 9 to Android 12, got the firmware from SamFw.com. Everything went fine until the phone rebooted, after unlocking the phone gets stuck on 'phone is starting'. I CAN access the Set Up Menu, Uninstall apps, move some settings here and there, connect to Wifi/Bluetooth, receive calls, install apps using ADB. Also, theres a notification all the time that reads 'Phone restarted Unlock your phone to get app notifications', I'm assuming that the phone thinks it is not unlocked and that's why it doesn't fully boot up.
Some things that I've already tried:
Intalling another Launcher (Pixel Launcher)
Reinstalling the firmware (ver G975USQU6IVC7) / Trying with different CSC with no results
Wiping Cache in Recovery Mode
Deleting/Adding Fingerprints
Changing from Lock Pattern to NIP to Password
I don't really want to do the full wipe, I would like to keep my data or be able to export the photos (Device not Recognized by Smart Switch also)
Is there anything else I can do?, has anyone been through the same issue?
Is your phone rooted?

Hi !
@DannOsnaya have you found a solution to the phone problem other than restoring to factory settings?
I have the same problem at the moment, almost identical to what you experienced.
If anyone has some advice on how to fix this problem, please share your advice.

Any way to factory reset. I tried every possible way following YouTube but nothing works. It's just stuck. I've a backup of my data so not worried.
No, I still have the same issue.
Have you tried to install a launcher?

Nothing works. Now decided to show it to anyone. I guess the mobile shops have an option to erase everything. I don't understand how did it happen because it's usually with my toddler, he might have done something.

I followed a video and wiped out. Finally successful. I wasn't worried about data as Google has a backup.
I followed this method and finally it's factory reset.
