Abroad IMEI Problem - Samsung C9 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi devs.
IMEI problems are received from abroad phones. So you can use once you 3-4 months to Turkey. I'm counting this time twice because the phone I got is double-line. And the second line is about to expire. I think after 15 days (May 1, 2019) the line will close at noon. Legally registering imei was around 600 TL (100 USD) recently released in this decree. First it was 130 TL (25USD). I have an LG g3 device that opens and closes according to the head. Can we register its IMEI number on my new device? (Samsung C9 pro - SM-C9000)
Or do you have different suggestions?
Thank you very much in advance.

Changing IMEI from a Nokia N80i

Strange question perhaps, however I am working in Turkey and all phones have to be registered. I have a Nokia N80i registered and have recently bought an Xperia in Australia, which I want to use here. However, as a foreigner, you can only register one phone per year - irrespective of whether you lose it, it is stolen, or technically doesn't work any more. Strange, but true ! My Nokia was only registered in October 2008, therefore I have to wait until October 2009 before I can use the Xperia, therfore I thought the easiest way would be to change the IMEI on the Xperia to the one from the Nokia. Is this possible ?

GOOD NEWS-FREE "sim lock" UNLOCKING

Good news everybody on UK O2 network. Just been on the phone with O2 today(1/12/09) and been advised that unlocking O2 HD2's is free. also been advised that it can take up to 28 days, but as long as it's FREE that's not abig issue. Sorry to other networks users, you might need to contact your network rpoviders if you HD2 is locked to your network.
Blue Skies...
yeah, O2 are unlocking all locked contract phones free, only exception being the palm pre. Just need to go to https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Handset Unlocking Form and fill in your details
Is this once your contract is fully paid-up? Why would they lock them in the first place?
Good news for some people, I guess I am lucky, because despite the contract my operator don't lock the HD2.

Did you get it for free? If you compare Globul's offer (almost UK SIM free price + 2 year contract) with any of the UK pay monthly offers you will understand. The Bulgarian mobile operators are simply pathetic and no one which uses their services is lucky.

well nearly all o2 phones are already unlocked at present it's just some xda's, blackberrys and iphones. They will unlock it for you whenever you want as long as you continue paying your contract
Thanks for the heads up just submitted the form and await the code
Thank you for the link - I was thinking of paying to get it unlocked anyway.
Help! I tried and it says
"The supplied IMEI doesn't appear to be valid. It must be of 15 digits." The HD2 reports back with a 17 digit number....

yeah, ignore the last two digits displayed on the actual device (if you did *#06#). Just input the first 15 displayed.
The number on the box is 15 digits long and the number on the phone is 17. I don't know why.

Nope, I did't get it for free, actually 389 EUR + 13 EUR/month for 1 year = 545 EUR and they give me - 750Mb internet traffic, 75 messages and 150 minutes. If I have to buy the device alone, I have to pay around 600 EUR without anything else. Also I get it sim unlocked from Globul, so I think this is quite a bargain for Bulgaria, but I have to agree that Bulgarian mobile operators are pathetic.
xD I got it for a 24 Month contract without any simlock
8€(x24) a month + 225€ for the phone.
Thanks for this! Just submitted a request!

First i got this reply a couple of days ago:
Hi,
Thank you for your email.
We have been informed by the manufacturer that the IMEI you have
provided is not showing on there database. This could be down to one of
two reasons:-
a). The IMEI number you have provided is incorrect (this can be obtained
by typing *#06# into the handset.
b). The IMEI number you have provided does not belong to a RIM device.
Kind Regards
Justin Peter

Then i sent this reply:
Hi, thanks for the reply. Regarding the below problem with my unlock request, I have rechecked my IMEI and it is the same as the one I submitted and as for 'point b' stating that it must not be a RIM device, nowhere on the form did I enter that it was a RIM device. My handset is made by HTC and the model is a HD2 as was submitted on the form. Please advise of any other problems.
Thanks,
....................................................
Then i receive this today:
Good morning

your email that you've rechecked the IMEI number is it's the same. Also,
your handset isn't a RIM device. I appreciate you're using a HTC phone.
I'll certainly check this for you.
unfortunately I'm unable to comment if you can get your HTC phone

Whats going on? Anyone managed to get their code yet off O2? I think i might re-submit my info and try again.
I got my unlatch code and it worked with no problems, now I have an unbranded unlocked HD2
o2 have had that unlock page for some time. I've read several threads (and has also been what happened to me) that many peopled don't get the code after the first 28 days, and you have to phone them and they'll say "oh it didn't submit right"
the guy I spoke to even opened with "you know there may be a charge?"
so yes they will unlock it, but you might have to hassle them a bit!
mine came pre-unlocked - might be lock of the draw (teehee, get it?)- check sims before you go through the hassle.
used my t-mobile sim right up until the numbers switched over.

Want to switch my note 3 to pageplus

Hello guys new to the forum I was wondering if you guys can help me out.
I want to switch my note 3 (verizon) to page plus. I have took my note 2 to a cell phone shop and they changed it over for 50 bucks and can do the same for my note 3. So my question is can I learn to do it myself or should I just pay the 50.
Thanks in advance
Actually figured it out way simpler than expected page plus now has Sim cards for Verizon phones so no need to flash or anything took it to phone shop and got it hooked up for 19 bucks

Why are we begging for root? There should be a class action lawsuit!

We bought our devices! Why should we not have full access to them?
A lot of laws are designed to prevent abuse, granted, but which abuse is not having root preventing?
What the hell?
We should start a class action lawsuit against companies and manufacturers who prohibit root, like Verizon!
Uh good luck lol
Lol. Read the terms and conditions of your contract.
And this issue has been presented before with other devices. To no avail. If I remember correctly the idea was kicked around by X2 users and others.
Also getting a phone for a price with either an upgrade or new contract is different than paying retail price for the phone off contract. Ithink the note 4 is $600 but for $100-200 more you get the unlocked DE phone.

Device works as advertised by the manufacturer and carrier.
You will have as much luck as the guy who claimed his 2 year old accepted the update and updated a rooted phone to locked

S6 EE UK Sim Unlock

Folks just a note on my experience attempting to sim unlock my S6 on EE UK, I attempted to unlock my device using a few online unlocking service providers, 2 of them provided codes that were unsuccessful and the other worked first time.
The code that worked for me was from SamsungCodeSource.com and I would recommend them for anybody looking to get their handset unlocked...........for the record I'm not affiliated with them in any way just thought I would share to save anyone else the hassle of going through several unlock providers.
Feel free to add any others that have worked for you to allow other users to get their handset unlocked first time.

Did mine through EE, first time they came back and said I had not had contract over 6 months (which I had) rang them back and eventually got the code in a text message on day 11 or 12 of the second request.
I phoned EE after waiting 11 days and the guy done it there and then for me, said originally there was a delay in getting the code form Samsung.
I used ebay and received a code in 3 hours for £11. I do not know if the phone was bought as part of a contract as it was a gift. BTW do you guys have the app called sec.abt showing in applications under settings? It is a rootkit that comes with EE phones, everyday it sends about 5 text messages to EE which is costing me like crazy! I am going to do a stock flash with odin and hopefully it will go.
