I have been using the device for the past 2 months and it has been syncing perfectly with my company's exchange server. For the past 3 days, it is showing a wierd issue.
The device does not show the new messages anymore. The messages show up in my device only after I read them on my outlook or through web access. That means, the messages show up only after I read them through other means.
I am not sure if something changed with my company's exchange server which is causing this issue. This is driving me nuts.
Now Activesync is pretty much useless if this issue persists.
Just checking if anyone else out there know that this is a known issue and know of any workarounds? Appreciate your inputs.
Pls do let me know if this Q has to be posted in a different forum... Greatly appreciate any insight into this. Thanks everyone.
I found the cause of this issue.
Just in case if someone needs to know this in future. Apparently this issue can only be fixed in the Exchange server end than at the device end. So good luck.

So after 3 days of understanding how this beast works, I finally got my T-Mobile LG G2 (D801) onto Lollipop, which has been incredibly awesome so far. The ONLY problem that I'm having so far, however, is that when I tried to set up google now, it simply gave me "Network error. Check your network connections and try again." IF anyone has a remedy for this, it would be greatly appreciated.
Same problem here. What's really strange is that it only happens with one of my accounts. (my main account, of course) I have tried resetting the data on the Google Search app, removing and re-adding my account, both wifi/data and it doesn't just happen on the G2 - it also happens on my Nexus 10 and my One X, both running Lollipop, and on my old Nexus One and Captivate, both running Kitkat. In Logcat I'm getting
Code:
W/JavaNetConnection(20403): Failed to get connection status.
W/JavaNetConnection(20403): java.io.FileNotFoundException: https://android.googleapis.com/tg/fe/request
Clearly because of the fact that it works with other accounts it's a problem on Google's end - I did just get a Google Search update today.
My LG V20 has some issues on 4G, it connect to Google and WhatAapp while on 4G.
When using WiFi:
No problems
When using 4G:
-cannot connect to Google
-most of the time cannot receive and send messages on WhatsApp
-sometimes can receive but not send
Anyone else has this issue or knowing how to solve it?
I have noticed this on 4G as well, every once in a while. not sure what its about. Mine is a H990DS , dual sim variant. maybe a software update will fix it. Come to think of it, i think after the latest update i got a few days ago it hasnt happened.
Had the same issue with some apps in the past.
They seemed to fix on there own or had app updates issued which fixed them.
Go to Google play and see if there are updates
I have the same issue as well. Please update me if there is a solution to it.
Got my LG V20 yesterday (Verizon, VS995), added all my accounts including my 3 google accounts... None of my wifi information has been synced.
I got on my old device (v10) and went through the options (there arent many) and it seems like it should be there.
I just warrantied my V10 for another in august and all this data transferred with no issues.
Any advice? Anyone else having this issue?
My calendar and contacts are transferring, just not the wifi (or bluetooth) devices.
Hey guys,
I am having an issue with WhatsApp since about two weeks on my OnePlus 5. WhatsApp is having trouble reconnecting after closing the app, or when it hasn't been used in a while. It takes about 30 seconds to reconnect after sending a text. I only have this issue on my own home WiFi, and came to the conclusion that maybe pfSense (my firewall) has something to do with it. I have already tried resetting pfSense, tried different access points, and even resetted my phone and installed LineageOS (came from OxygenOS with the same issue). Two other people who live in the house, who have Samsung and iPhone, don't seem to have a problem. A friend of mine, who also has a OnePlus 5, also had trouble connecting to WhatsApp while on my WiFi. Connection to WhatsApp on 4G (LTE) is instantanious. Facebook messaging doesn't seem to have a problem on WiFi either, and as long as I keep using WhatsApp, as soon as it's connected, everything's fine.
I hope someone knows what I could do about this, it's really frustrating.
Thanks!

Troubleshooting firewalls is little bit out of scope of the oneplus thread. Resetting a firewall without further knowledge won't resolve anything unless you know what applications are using which ports/ip's or other qos parameters for example.
In other words: you break it down to the firewall already, with other devices that's good!
But since someone needs YOUR firewall configuration along with YOUR ISP credentials along with IP'S and so on its nearly impossible to help from outside of your home network.
Wireshark can give more insight
There's no general whatsapp problem on oneplus 5 with WiFi.
Some user reported a similar delay on receiving messages, maybe you can try this out since you didn't mention your os version of your op5 etc: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/themes/magisk-pixel-2-wifi-mod-t3752321

Ahm, quick google search on "OnePlus" + "WiFi" + "WhatsApp" seems to show otherwise.
And it's not even OnePlus 5 exclusive -- happens on OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 3T as well (my case).
[e.g.: https://www.reddit.com/r/whatsapp/comments/9eftbs/whatsapp_not_sending_messages_or_sends_in_delay/
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/help/whatsapp-doesnt-receive-messages-till-t3833257 ]
And the best part?
It's the exact same behavior described there. And I've tried every known trick in the book plus a couple more, to no avail.
No Google Push Heartbeat fix, no battery optimization, not even completely disabling Doze.
Also it happens on Both Android 8 and Android 9.
AND -- only on OOS Roms.
It also happens regardless of the WiFi network you're on.. I've tested on multiple home routers, multiple enterprise grade networks, multiple router brands - Google, Linksys, Dlink, and on and on and on.
AND -- If I switch to, let's say - LineageOS, the problem vanishes completely, so I know it's not a WiFi network issue, or a phone hardware issue.
(Unfortunately, that comes with its own minor issues in other areas.)
I literally just bought a new Phone (Pixel 3) because of that issue alone, which has been plaguing me for more than a year now, and makes me keep my WiFi disabled at home ???
and I have to keep juggling it because sometimes I want to watch youtube or netflix so -- back on, but then turn off again because otherwise I don't get wpp messages.
And all the other apps work fine on WiFi.
It's just WhatsApp.
Unfortunately, IMHO Pixel 3's camera SUCK. No matter how much praise it gets out there.
The images all look strongly over-processed, and I've taken comparison pics with my 3T, e Pixel 3 and a Nikon D600,
and I'll say in a pinch that the Pixel 3 is not a clear improvement over 3T at all.
Which means I'm selling it and now I'm back trying to fix this goddamn wpp issue.
(I just wish everyone went to Telegram =/)
But hey OP, did you have any luck???
Please share!! =S
Still an issue...
Same problem here, and still on going. Anyone found a fix yet? It seems to happen when the phone goes to sleep, almost like the WiFi connection sleeps too, though I can't find any settings to control such a thing...
