I have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Bluetooth works perfectly. Perhaps the issue is specific to the vehicle's manufacturer?
Same here 2015 Grand Cherokee and Bluetooth, syncs, SMS notifications, calls and Music plays. No issues here.

I experience similar issues with the song info...on multiple devices, ranging from each major Android version since KitKat (I use my Evo 4G LTE from time to time). That's more of a Honda issue, honestly.

GS7 Edge was working fine though. Both on marshmallow and 7.0. Either there's something up with this phone or it's 7.1.1. My dad's iPhone 3gs works in my car fine as well.
Call choppiness on Nissan Maxima 2014.
No sound quality issues so far. Connecting to a previously paired device did not work a couple times but that has always been an issue for me on Android versions. Once I unpair and reconnect, it works.
In my car, I am connecting to an Mpow Bluetooth dongle plugged into my AUX jack and the sounds seems much better separated than my Nexus 6p when it is on Bluetooth. U11 is also clearer.
Kia Sorento SX 2013, streaming BT audio and GPS navigation flawlessly without problem.
On my Honda Prelude 2000 SE with custom Kenwood deck, HTC U11 also streams BT audio beautifully.
i have no problem what so ever, music, phone, massages, song info,email,etc... ,everything is fine

Hello
I have also these connecting problems with my Mercedes GLA and HTU 11, It will never reconnect when I start my car. I have to search always on my phone for Bluetooth devices and then connect manually. Before I had with the same car with Galaxy S8, LG G6, OnePlus 3, LG G5, Huawei P9 and all of them were working fine.
I think it's the well known Android 7.1.1 issue and hope an update will coming soon...

I was very happy to see how much better bluetooth worked for me in my car than it did with my HTC 10. It has been working perfectly. I have an aftermarket Sony car stereo.
I have a 2016 Nissan Rogue with no issues

Seat Ateca infotainment doesn't import contacts from HTC U11 via Bluetooth
I have Seat Ateca 2017 (May) and when I first connecting (paired) my old HTC One M9 (Android 7.0) with car infotainment (IT) everything (Phone) works fine, contacts were imported, details of contacts were imported too (names& fotos of contacts) etc etc.
Now I have new HTC U11 with Android 7.1.1 (Android security patch level August 1, 2017 - software number 1.27.401.5) and car infotainment can not import contacts when it is connected with HTC U11 via Bluetooth. I can use car IT for talking, dial number but can't see name of contact and messages.
Anything similar?
I have trouble getting my U11 on 7.1.1 to connect to my bluetooth work headset. Never had an issue on my HTC 10. Sometimes even turning BT off and on again won't fix it and it will be stuck forever attempting to pair with the headset. Restarting fixes it.
Seems to be working fine for me. I connect it to my Pioneer 8890BT head unit.

I found the same the u11 just works perfectly whereas the 10 had weird micro skipping/cut issues, even started using my old Nexus 7 (2013) in the car to stop it from bugging me. So happy I upgraded to the u11 even though i still have to pay for the 10 till May lol.
I have a Motorola Bluetooth adapter because my older car has no Bluetooth and I can have the phone, and only this phone within inches of each other and get the Bluetooth stutter and cut outs. No connection troubles tho.

I have an aftermarket Sony car stereo and works great with Smart connect and the Sony app. Absolutely no issues with bluetooth for me. Works great on my PC and my JBL Charge 3. I don't think it is the phone or the Android version. Unless it is Androids job to make it work perfectly with your device that you are having trouble with? I don't know, just glad I am having such a great experience. Bluetooth works much better on my U11 than it did on my HTC 10.

Ford Focus Mk3 - Recommended Headunit RNS

Hello everyone,
i have a 2013 Ford Focus Mk3 with Sync 1 - and the Sync 1 System sucks!
So i want to buy a RNS with Android that fits my needs.
I have PDC in Front and Back and the Sony Premium Sound System with Subwoofer.
Anyone knows a Headunit wich supports this? Both Parking Sensors Front and Back and connecting the Ford Sub Woofer? Thats the Minimum that has to work.
Sync isnt a Must and the Automatic Parking Assistent also not.
Anyone that has expierience with a Ford Focus Mk3 HU and working fine Can Bus Stuff?
Thanks!!
Christoph
You have to ask sellers to confirm the features covered by the can bus

Hi i have a ford fiesta 2013 and i got a px5 from ali express and it cam with the canbus prity much plug n play aswell it build to fit all original buttons work even steringwheel control still get access to sync if you want to but i agree it sucks so i dont use it but also can access hill start and that so you can enable a dissable normal car function to door sensors and reverse sensors work they pop up on screen exactly like original so my best guess is if you got one for the focus all functions will work hope this helps
Another image so you get what i mean
Hey, i also have a Focus MK3 (ST 2013) and a few weeks ago i put out the Sony-Radio (8Speakers without Subwoofer) and changed to a "tesla-style headunit" from phoenixandroidradio.com . The Sync-Module is still connected and you can deside using Sync-Bluetooth oder Headunit Bluetooth. As factory-microphone has much better quality than the build-in, i phone via sync, rest of entertainment via Tesly-style headunit
I only have rear PDC and it works over canbus with sound and radar-image. Don't know, if front PDC and factory Subwoofer will work, i do have an active subwoofer put in my trunk and it works via rca-cable and remote-signal.
As mentioned above, please contact the reseller and ask to confirm the features.
I've only seen the Windows CE units supporting the auto park feature.
SWC work for me, open door indicators, music control, parking radar for rear sensors works for me. I don't have all the features you have so can't comment on those.
You do need to connect an external mic as it doesn't use your cars one. No connectors for the glovebox USB/aux port so that doesn't work anymore.
Never had sync on my Focus 3 but from what I've seen it is supported.
On my unit theres a setting called parking assist if thats the feature your looking for
Any opinion about RUISO ??? Thanks !

Was that a typo that you would go for the tesla style? Asking because i am considering buying one and am concerned about the screenangle in a focus mk3 2013.
Has anyone looked into the Ownice C600 tesla style head unit?

Ford Focus mk3 2012-2013 SYNC issue MTCE

After any help or advice about issue im having with my new Android Head Unit
My Previous stereo was the Sony Unit that has 1 connector and had the small screen with 1 connector in my Ford Focus mk3 2012-2013 Titanium
Installed this
iceboxauto.com/ford-focus-2012-android-8-v5712
MTCE_MX2_V2.79_1
Android 8
All the Canbus info is coming through fine like the temp and doors and the Volume buttons on the steering wheel work fine.
However my SYNC voice button on the steering wheel no longer works and the SYNC app on the New Unit does nothing.
The Canbus hardware that came with the unit has a Power Connector 2 which does not have anywhere to connect to in my Focus as my Stereo simply didnt have this connection

My supplier also seems confused since i dont have this extra connection and the factory arnt helping either. They just said The Sony Radio is the only radio that does not have a Sync Cable.
Been in the Factory Settings and the canbus is set to "62 FOCUS_ECOSPORT&ESCAPE&CARNIVAL(Simple)"
Have to assume SYNC is someway using the Canbus since there is no separate Cable. Not sure if this is hardware or Software issue
Thanks
maybe this ??
The AFSI-01 retains the Ford Sync and R.A.P features when installing an aftermarket radio in Ford Lincoln or Mercury vehicles equipped with Sync. (Does not work in vehicles with factory navigation.)
It includes an LCD display for Sync system status. It also supplies parking brake reverse and VSS outputs for aftermarket radios with built in navigation.
Provides accessory (12-volt 10-amp)
Retains R.A.P. (retained accessory power)
Used in non-amplified systems
For standard sound systems with stand-alone subwoofer – use part number 70-5522 along with the AFSI-01
For SONY/THX amplified systems – use part numbers AX-ADBOX2 and AX-ADFD01
Provides NAV outputs (parking brake-reverse-mute-speed sense)
OE Bluetooth retention
Retains SYNC
Adjustable gain control for SYNC
High level speaker input
Micro B USB updatable

Ford Focus ST Android radio
Hello ... I have a Ford Focus ST 2016 and I recently purchased a 10.4-inch android radio from the Ownice-C600 model. The problem is that one of the car plugs(54pins) does not match that of the system(24pins), I say that the steering wheel controls do not work. In the plug with which the system is equipped is 3 cables.
Hi, did you resolve it? I also have the power cable 2 and I do not have it where to connect .. the other cables have you connected where? To turn on the button backlight or turn the radio on when the key is not in the 1st position. Thanks Tom

bluetooth connection problem

Hi everyone, I bought a android head unit from AliExpress for my Honda Accord 8. The bluetooth to both the OBD II device, as well as my Radar detector without success. The devices will come up in the search as unpaired, sometimes, after showing available to connect or briefly showing paired they will disappear from the bluetooth device list. Now I can only connect my phone, cannot connect anything else (e.g. OBD II, Radar Detector)
Someone has encountered a similar problem? How did solve it?
Thanks in advance!
