That bad? Slow in multitasking?
I don’t think it’s slow.. It’s overall speed is good. I was a Samsung note 5 user past. Not so much difference.

Not sure what you're used to, but I would never ever say that this phone is "slow" / "sluggish" or anything related to that..
The chipset of this phone (which is the Snapdragon 632) is a power efficient and fast CPU delivering super exciting speed and usability experience which I haven't seen yet on any phone with such a low price.
Ever used an Umidigi A3 Pro? No offense, great phone - but this thing is slow af (MTK6739) compared to Xiaomi's Redmi 7.
When it comes to speed, my friends - don't mind buying this phone. You'll be happy, I promise.
BR
I've only noticed it being slow when the battery is at the 10% mark, even when power saving mode is off. Overall the phone is worth $150 for 3gb ram and a decent processor
It's very fast and responsive for 143 euro how much i paid for it and battery life is excellent.
You guys are all wrong this phone is like a tesla it flights....
Can anyone tell me about the speed of gestures? Are they fluid or does the phone loose frames while using gestures?
Thanks.

It slows down at 10% because te cpu downclocks and turns off some cores to give u battery life
Perfect phone at the perfect price, but
It's a fantastic phone with almost everything that a phone will deserve at this price point. It's got a great Snapdragon processor, dual-camera and a great non-intrusive water-drop notch. The screen is really good, so are the speakers! I have found some mods of Google Camera, that work outstandingly well, without root. The battery life is exuberant, like seriously awesome, just disable adaptive brightness, and you're set to roll! The standby I'm getting is ~3 days and with continuous usage, I easily get a battery life of ~10 hours (heavy usage -> watching videos, playing random games and browsing). Another thing to keep in mind would be to disable personalized advertisements, as they sometimes seem really personal.
And that's pretty much it!
Not the best, but not bad either, I'll say it's okay
I've bought a 3/32GB Redmi 7 as a replacement for my ageing LG L90 (T-Mobile D415 model, stored just in case, with LOS Nougat installed).
So far, this device delivers, 32GB of internal storage is more than enough for my needs, and while 3GB of RAM isn't a lot, it's good for a recently released midranger, and a huge improvement from my previous daily driver.
I picked up my new phone on Monday afternoon so at this date I've almost a week with it and I'm satisfied with it. It's snappy and MIUI is smooth as a hot knife on butter (At this date with Global 10.3.1 installed). The Snapdragon 632 is both power efficient and packs a decent punch on most games (Don't ask me about PUBG or similar games, I didn't install them yet). Performance for the money is really good.
The stock camera gives some nice photos, but improves greatly with the proper GCam port, if you can tweak it manually, then you're set up.
Battery performance is top notch, with mild to relatively heavy usage I can reach a full day of battery, may be a bit more, the included charger can replenish it from flat to 100% on the 2-hour mark, a decent time given the battery size.
If you want a budget midranger with a solid build, nice features, large screen and battery with good performance, go for the Redmi 7 if you can't get the Note 7 (As in my case)
The phone is AWESOME. It is fast. And I am even using the 2 gig ram variant. this is probably the longest time I've been using my phone without charging from time to time. I am using mobile data, and I am a heavy internet user but the phone lasts for about 10 hours with still 20% battery to spare. I may probably upgrade in the future (because my phone only has 2/16gb memory) but this is difinetely a great phone for the price.
Xiaomi redmi 7
I like this phone. It's quality is medium but charging is very fast and also the camera quality. This phone is very handy and always care from scratches and breakage. To protected the mobile we should buy redmi 7 back cover from Hamee India. It gives the highly protection.

For me, everything works pretty smoothly.
Well i say it is average, not bad i like. Only speed is a bit slow on mobile internet, wifi is good
Concordo
Tenho pleno acordo.

even opening simple apps is so much slow in this fone.
I have tried everything, like used bitdefender to scan for viruses, even tried factory resetting it but still nothing
its performance is same, very bad
before this one I have redmi 4A and it was flawless for basic usage but with somewhat better specs in this, this one is really bad.
any suggestions ?

To me my M9 was a touch slower than my SD835 S8+. My M10 LCD 6gb is faster than my S8+. Main thing is the K970 is solid and stable. No jerks or hangs so far. Desktop mode is smooth also. A lot better than DEX. Off-screen navigation button is great.
Its fast, but mate 9 pro feels smoother.

Yeah I am having some regrets also, games are not very smooth, also some jerks are visible and very annoying for a high end phone.I am hoping for a future update maybe 8.1 will be much more faster and smooth.
I am coming from iPhone 6s and this is new to me but everybody says that I have to give it some time.Maybe the google pixel is a better choice?
Ok. Here is what i noticed so far. Phone was factory and cache reseted with some trash apps removed. Only added nova launcher, Facebook lite messenger, viber and discord+ few games witch doesnt work in background. Iv been using phone few days. Its BLA-L29 8.0.0.129(C432). Nova launcher working great, system menu and overall ui working great, apps open fast with no choppy animations, stock gallery micro stuttering when scrolling fulscren photos, market lags alot, few games lag, few works great. Rest of system is working great and battery life is great. If you ask me il rather get 1hr off battery life witch is around 8h sot for little more smooth operation in said apps. Tested all with both resolutions and its the same so it must be some wierd throttling or something.
Same here, some parts of UI lagging....maybe updates work things trough
Sent from my BLA-L09 using Tapatalk
I had my mate 10 pro for a month now, lag is very less to nothing, its super snapy, this phone is blazing fast!
i notice frame drops while gaming (only play sonic forces though) other than that it is very fast, no real lag. i realise that sometimes animations seem to lag but it is just the animation, the phone itself and the action i am performing is very fast. (unlike samsung where i experienced not only animations lagging but also the apps/actions i was performing were delayed or i needed to hit an icon twice)
i think huawei needs to come up with a brand new UI.
they have a ton of good features but everything reminds me of older times. also they used to push themself into the markets by copying rivals especially Apple. I think this is what a lot of chinese companies are doing and it is fine but in recent years huawei has become a major player themselves, now they have to prove that they can do it themselves, can do it better
I heard it takes week or two for AI to arrange things and it's true. Phone is lot smoother now tho there are areas where it still lags....like default email client when opening new email. But nothing major any more.
I play only some 2D game(Vikings war of clans) and coming from SD821 phone I'm delighted with performance in it(lots of calculations).
most annoying thing is hill climb 2 stutter. but i have a feeling that crap drops frames on all phones
No faults whatsoever so far

I think that the stock android that comes with the A2 Lite is pretty terrible. I had to root it, then get xposed to work, and just after that I could make things look like I always wanted, but then there is a bigger problem. Overall performance, input lag, and stuff like this is really slow, I uninstalled bloatware, clear cache often, reboot every week, and yet it is slow. The only solution I see is a decently ported custom rom. Which is yet not really available.

Lineage OS?
Haven't noticed anything that bothered me at all. I mostly use it for deving, whatsapp and mail.
I bought the 3GB/32GB version. Coming from the Mi Max 2 that was flying with the same SoC, I am disappointed by the performance. At first, I set it up by restoring the previous apps and settings via the Google backup. It lagged as hell. So I did a clean setup and things are better now but not as I expected coming to a stock Android phone from a MIUI one that is considered to be a "heavy" fork.

The "stock" Android that comes with the A2 Lite is (surprise, surprise) stock, not sure what's terrible about that. There is no bloatware and the only app that can't be removed is a Mi Feedback app which is easy to hide. It's obvious that your performance issues are down to Xposed, not the phone.
Admittedly I'm coming from a much lower end phone (Vodafone Smart Ultra 6) but this thing fly's, how anyone can see lag on it anywhere is beyond me.

It may be with the fact that I had a phone with double the performance, but I really see this phone lag, and I am using it for a month only, while my phone before was 2 years old, and yet lightning fast(with miui)
I haven't noticed ANY problem with the 4/64 model. It is very fast (compared to an iPhone 7 or a Xperia Z3) and smooth. A delight :good:
I really don't see how it could be better (of course I'm not speaking about PUBG or Epic Citadel)...
Coming from an older Moto G4 (2016) running almost stock Nougat this device feels like a rocket in terms of speed and fluidness. The only thing I'm missing is the superb ambient display from Motorola.
The phone feels very stable and fast during daily use. I have the 4gb ram model.
But when I use resource intensive apps like Outlook or and/or I quickly switch between apps I can definitely feel the limits of the SD625.
Overall nothing to complain, incredible phone for €200.
I am actually very surprised by this phone. For 170 dollars? What can you expect? FHD display, notch, 4000mAh battery, alluminium body, good built quality, neat performance + Android one. I can definitely play PUBG on medium settings for 4 hours no problem. 3GB/32GB version. IT`S AN AWESOME PHONE.
Waiting for Android 9.0 <3
4GB/64GB model is much faster than my original Pixel XL by miles, both on Stock Android in day to day tasks and everyday usage. It's as fast as any phone I've used.

Mi A2 Lite uses encryption by default. As for the battery, I'm at 49% battery with 7:46h screen on time. With normal A2 my battery would have been to 0% approximately an hour ago.

The Mi A2 Lite lags if you install Xposed Framework. I've noticed the difference in performance after installing Xposed. It's because Xposed doesn't fully Support -v8a architecture.
Hello, I'm creating an account in order to give my real-life review of this phone. The previous phones I had were HTC One M8, LG G6.
Please keep in mind that I am a light user.
I do not play games on the device and the most used apps on my phone are
- Messages
- YouTube
- Outlook
- Firefox
- Microsoft Excel
While this device is rocking a 625 SOC, there is no lag at all. This may be thanks to stock Android. I am very confident to say that it is as fast as my LG G6 I had before.
Nothing to complain about.
the phone is very fast
Does anyone have a hands on comparison with Snapdragon 800?
I am looking for a replacement for my Samsung Galaxy S4 but I don't want a slower phone (no games, just daily usage, facebook, whatsapp, tapatalk, opera or firefox, switching between apps)...
Fast enough for daily usage.
I rooted it to use Battery Charge Limit and Greenify
No problem when playing pubg on smooth graphic setting.
I am also very satisfied with the battery backup and stock android experience.

I heard that Xiaomi phone although they start good, but by time, they loose their speed gradually and starts to lag .
Also knew the notifications in the Poco are not shown at the top of the screen , is there easy solution for that ?
I had a OP 5t and loved it by I lost and looking for a new phone.

Hi,
As far as I am concerned, I'd go for the Pocophone because :
- it has no AMOLED (I don't like AMOLED displays because they tend to turn out blueish or yellish at certain viewing angles) ;
- because it has larger battery ;
- because it has headphone jack ;
- because it's way cheaper than the OP6 or OP6T.
The overall build quality and materials used may be porrer than the ones used in OnePlus, but I have the Poco and honestly... it doesn't look at all like a cheap device !
About your concern for the lasting performance : I've had Xiaomi devices for years. The previous one was a mi5s Plus I've kept for 2 years. It felt as fast as the first day after 2 years of use... Of course, after a factory reset, because installing hundreds of apps may slow it down in time... But that are the apps, not the hardware...
Hope this helped.
Regards.
P.S. : maybe benchmarks may show a 3% performance loss... It might be measurable. But will you feel it in your daily usage ? I think not...

It looks like Poco F1 is a fair deal in that price. Thanks for all the information provided.

Cant believe it's the same phone
I think the single core score would've been better had I left the phone in the refrigerator for a few minutes and THEN ran it

Bought one last week. Updated it to MIUI 10/A9Pie.
AnTuTu-ted it and...
Yes, yes, it's possible to love a phone. Heck, you sleep next to it, don't you? Rate this thread to indicate your love for the Redmi Note 9, all things considered. A higher rating indicates that the Redmi Note 9 is an incredible phone that you enjoy tremendously. You love it.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
I was given this RN9 yesterday as a present (replacing a Pocophone F1 which broke). Got to say, I love this phone!
It's terrific! Took a bit of meddling to set it up the way I like (switching the stock launcher for CPL and stripping out a load of miui cruft) but the hardware is really lovely. Hoping to get a decent Gcam port, but the stock camera takes really nice photos, going by the handful of snaps I've taken today
NFC reader works perfectly (I'd read somewhere that it didn't actually have one, despite the specs claiming it does - mine, an international M2003J15SG, definitely does have NFC)
If anything, I prefer it to my old F1 - I haven't noticed any performance difference, seems lighter, several features the F1 missed (incl NFC), no notch
And incredible value - just under €180 for the 4/128gb version (or free if it's a birthday present ?)
Face unlock is as quick as the F1's ir unlock
Not seen a single ad in the UI either!
It's great ?
Charging doesn't seem the quickest, but it's an enormous battery to fill I guess
Great phone! Excellent all round ?
Damn this phone has some impressive battery life!! I have a 1+7 pro and this phone gives me way more sot with even more heavy use

Saying that, I played PUBG last evening with game turbo on and the battery really suffered. Played it just now without game turbo - still very playable but much more easy on the charge level
RN9 sure is a bang for your buck type of phone which makes you appreciate the extra features it boasts for it's price. Just don't expect flagship type of performance. It's still servicable for your daily needs.
It's good so far , I just switched from my broken Mi Mix 3 . the phone make me rock with his perfect battery and nice performance for such as under 180$ phone. yeah it's lovely
Coming from the Mi A1 so the speed upgrade is very much noticeable. Camera big big upgrade. Screen lovely. However I am disappointed that the reseller sold as Global but it's not, hardware wise. Got the -SS version without NFC running global ROM. That while NFC was one of the main reasons I opted for Note9 not Redmi 9
Also the lack of location based unlocking is annoying.
That said I use the phone mainly for browsing, messaging etc so I'll learn to live with it
Recommended with the strong advice to double check with reseller which exact version you're getting...
Edit: The following problem seems to be remedied in MIUI 12.0.7 update which is great but still, it has taken more than half a year since release that this dreadful problem finally get addressed. Still appreciated that they care about such cheap device.
(This was on a 3/64 GB model)
Overall, I think this phone has a very good value for it's price (stellar battery life, nice display, good SoC, good haptic feedback, multiple nice features), but the only gripe (a big one) I have is the performance issues. For usual tasks, it's okay for a mid-end chip, but sometimes it would just freeze up for so long (more than a minute for sure) that I would have to force restart which I find very irritating. (imagine chatting with your friend and you swap apps to take a screenshot to send to your friend, only for your phone to freeze up waiting for you to restart or wait for more than a minute while your friend is confused as to why you are away for so long) (or just during an online game session and your phone just became unusable while your opponent just wrecks you who helplessly can't do anything)
I have observed that the freezing problem usually occurs when the remaining RAM is low which is almost every time I'm running multiple apps. I would have to try to manually close any apps that I don't need anymore to avoid this problem. This would also mean that playing games will be likely to cause a freeze (which is also really happening).
This problem has been happening since I brought the phone on August with MIUI 11, but MIUI 12 also doesn't fix the issue.
While I don't know if the same thing will happen if I were to go with a higher RAM model, I think this kind of problem should not be happening in the first place (even my old phone from 6 years ago, a Galaxy Note 4 that also has 3GB of RAM, that was broken still doesn't have this issue). If they knew that there would be a freezing problem with a lower RAM model, they shouldn't just have it on sell in the first place. Although I suspect that this is a problem with the software, not hardware which can be fixed in the future (I hope).
Overall, I felt somewhat disappointed
coming from lg v20 very old phone
very smooth i love the battery life i don't care about charging speed as long as the battery lasts for a long time
i recommend getting note 9s or note 9 pro if you can! it is very noticeable for gamers snapdragon is always better and 9 pro for better camera
if you want to root you have to wait for 7 days or 3 depends (sometimes 3 months rare lol) to only unlock phone
a lot of bloatware it is xiaomi after all so i suggest debloater or just sell your data
I have found lately that I constantly come back to this phone, since November 2019, I've bought this phone 5 times and sold when changing to another phone thinking the other phones will be more enjoyable for me to use, including the likes of Samsung Note 10+ (never liked the UI), ROG Phone 2 (was a tad bit heavy and no good supply of cases to protect it), Oneplus 7t pro (battery was aweful), S20 Ultra (once again did not like the UI) Poco f2 pro (found too many ads coming from it so did not enjoy the UI) also the realme X3 Superzoom (good phone but ui is better on x2 pro as you can reduce size of icons and its screen is better)
Ultimately I've constantly come back to this, there is no better value phone than the Realme X2 Pro, amoled 90hz, 12gb ram, 256gb storage, 855+, no 5g but I absolutely do not care for it. and UI is more or less just one step behind OxygenOs in my opinion. but better battery life. all for £350 for me
Pues a mí me hace 5horas de pantalla en 90hz y la batería me dura menos que cuando estaba en android 9, aparte de c.28 consume más.
Wow, thanks for the info.
Do you think it still a better a buy in 2020-2021. Comparing against op7t and op nord or any upcoming smartphone with new chipset?

I would definitely say, yes.
Also tried several phones in the past few weeks, like 1+7 Pro, X2 Pro 128GB, X50 Pro CN and last week X50 Pro EU. Now I'm on X2 Pro Master Edition and I think it will stay, unless Realme releases something new.^^
For me the X50 Pro isn't really an Upgrade because of:
- Dual hole punch
- Vibrationengine is worse
- Think speaker sounds on X2 Pro also better
- Charging speed bit slower
- Doesn't feel as comfortable as X2 Pro in the hand
- Missing headphone jack
- Price

I still do think its the best buy now that's if you can get hold of it, because i'm constantly noticing its going out of stock from amazon.
No phone at the moment provides the following:
Amoled display with 90hz with FLAT panel (not that curved nonsense)
12gb ram, 256gb storage
Dual speaker
Reasonable battery with fast charging
Stock style UI
all for around £380, (even though I was able to get my latest one which I'm using now for £300.
All other phones lack something, I would have stuck with oneplus 7t pro as it had a better camera but the curved screen and the abismal battery life annoyed the living daylights out of me.
X2 Pro - I would easily get 6hrs of screen on time on a full day with probably 15-20% left at 11pm, 7t pro i wouldn't get 4 hrs screen on time. then there's the 29 mins of charging 0-100 on the x2 pro
The thing is, there are other phones that do certain things better, such rog phone 2 has better battery, oneplus 8 pro/p40 pro had better camera, poco f2 pro had notchless screen, but lacked 90hz and miui was frustrating and it never had dual speakers and so on but no device gave an extremely good and enjoyable experience on all aspects of the phone in a very well priced package.
So I still say, it's the best phone at the moment for its price.
So, I've come to realise these are my minimum must haves from now on:
- Amoled 90hz screen
- 256gb with minimum ram of 8gb
- Battery that can last full day with at least 6hrs sot with fast charging.
- Dual speakers (none of these flat single speakers)
- Camera must be acceptable (don't need a superb p40 pro plus camera)
- A phone does not need to be priced more than £500 these days.
Yes, You're right, and thank You mate for taking the time to say it, once in a while it does not harm.
its my second weak with x2 pro
and i feel it was a huge mistake to buy!
xda don't have much support yet
realme kept sleeping for months and now the finally released flashtool,
flashtool supported format files are 6gb to download!
no custom kernels or mods available! (for kernels)
everytime any flashing is done! FORMAT is must!
finger scan doesn't work after root! (atleast i am still figuring out)
i am coming from Pocof1, and it was developer's heaven! i had 300gb of roms and kernels and tweaks!
i think i just got carried away with 12gb ram thing!

Really can't complain so far.

Fingerprint works since c26 or c27 software I think. We're on c29 now. Yes I agree about the lack of modding support since the phone is not very popular unfortunately. That's just one side of it thought, the phone itself is fantastic in my opinion. There's nothing close to it that I could get for this money.
