Anyone use zerolemon for the s9 plus? - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Accessories

I've always heard great things about zerolemon but only yesterday ordered my 1st. I realize I'm sacrificing NFC but i dont use it anyways.
Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

I have used Zerolemon on my S4, s5,s9+. It was great when you could change the battery. NOw I use the Otterbox for daily and the Zero battery when out of town. I favor the belt holder for all of my phones since I get my messages when I am outside, which is most of the time. Batter's Zerolemon are great but due add weight. The plus sometimes out weighs the negative based on useage

I do, and enjoy it.
But just hope they could do something like award winning design to make it feels slim in hand.

htc rafael 2400 or mugen 3000 battery for fuze?

The $2400 is $21 on eBay and the Mugen is $80.
The Rafael obviously seems like the better deal. How can anyone justify an additional 600mAh for $60??
Has anyone used the Rafael and what kind of case did you get for your thicker phone?
Mugen 3000mAh
I'll bite; I sprung for the Mugen 3000mAh battery. I think it's great (it comes with it's own battery cover, and admittedly does make the phone significantly more bulky).
I'm not a typical user even for these forums. I routinely tether my laptop to my phone via bluetooth for laptop internet access (two thumbs up for unlimited data plans) and I actually get quite usable speeds (I'm using that setup right now). Plus, I can send and receive calls at the same time. Also, I've got two accounts in the Pocket Outlook, and I've got Flexmail 4 with about 6 or 7 email accounts that sync throughout the day. In addition to that, I use spreadsheets and word documents on it as well as voice calls. So, frankly, I'll take all the power I can get!
When I take it to the gym, I use my Seideio (sp?) 2000mAh battery because it's a lot slimmer and does great with by bluetooth headphones (and I use it as an mp3 player; I'm not one of those types that talks on their phone the entire time they're supposed to be "working out"!).
So if you have to have all the power you can get, like I do, it's not that big of a sacrifice in size for the extra 600mAh. It does make a difference late in the day. Just my $0.02 though.
Good stuff BPB21.
What kind of case do you use for the 3000, if any at all?
Thanks for your help.
Cases
That's an interesting question. Typically I just keep it in my coat pocket at work, or pants pocket otherwise without a case. I've got one of those "Invisible Shield" screen protectors that has protected it even from my cat's claws (touch screen wasn't meant for cats, but no harm done). So typically I don't use a case.
However, I was just looking for some kind of waterproof case, I mean completely waterproof, for when I potentially go rafting and/or rock climbing. I can't vouch for any yet, but I've heard good things about the "Otterbox" cases. I don't plan on actually using the device while in the water of course, but it might be necessary to keep it with me. I'm kinda compulsive about that with my phones. So, as for cases, that remains to be seen. I think the Seidio 2000mAh battery would fit most anything (I don't know about the 2400mAh, but I'm sure I'll own one soon) as it really doesn't add much size at all to the phone. As for the Mugen 3000 mAh, well, I don't know what that would fit in. That battery and case make the phone a total of one inch thick the entire length of the phone. The Seidio battery and cover only add about 1/8th inch thickness in a 1&1/2" width and 1&1/4th" length on the back of the phone.
Anyway, if I find something good I'll post here; but for everyday use just the screen protector works well enough for me.
IF anyone has any suggestions for this battery and a case, i'd be grateful and interested as well. the stock cover that comes from mugen is crap with a capital C. it keeps sliding off.
I 2nd that...
This is true; it is really easy to knock the Mugen cover off. The one saving grace about that cover's design is that even if the cover comes loose you don't necessarily take the battery with it (at least in my experience). I would be interested if anyone can find a cover that fits the 3000 mAh battery. (I mean, other than the submersible Otterbox cases - those fit, but you can't really use the device...)
The phone (with a standard battery fitted) just fits into an otterbox 1000, which is the cheapest one they do. I got the transparent one but the phone screen is obscured. I keep it in the box whilst I work outside, with a waterproof bluetooth headset. It's a tough box.

I've actually taken the phone skiing (well, I didn't buy it a lift ticket or anything). It was in my ski jacket pocket (and I tend to do runs more advanced than I am) and despite my sometimes dramatic falls the phone held up well. So it's a pretty durable device, but I wouldn't do that every day with it.
Speaking of that Otterbox - I was looking at the same thing and trying to measure it from the given inside dimensions. Which way does it just barely fit: length, width, or thickness? I would think the phone would be just a bit too long for the case, but hopefully not? And then, if I had the Seidio 2000mAh battery (which adds maybe 1/8" thickness, if that) installed would that fit as well?
Otterbox 1900
Hi. I own an otterbox 1900. I´ve used it a lot with my Axim and after that with my Eten m700. I took it rafting, dirt biking on the mountains and snowboarding many times. You can charge the device while in the box, and use the device while keeping it protected by a clear rubber membrane.
The Fuze fits easy inside, but I have the stock cover and battery.

I bought one, I have it and it makes your phone look like a brick. hey, the Battery will last days but it is just Huge.
Big batteries
I've got the 3000mAh battery (by the way, I saw the 2400mAh battery on eBay; how does its size compare with the 3000mAh battery?). I use my phone heavily, all day. I'll connect it with my laptop via bluetooth to use internet sharing, sometimes I'll be talking on the phone at the same time, and I heavily use email on the phone, plus Word and Excel files and internet browsing, plus occassional testing and configuring of wifi routers using the phone's wifi, all on a given day. I'm not always near a charger so for me I need all the power I can get, even if it is only an extra 600mAh.
On the other hand, people routinely ask me "what is thbat?" (or more accurately, "what the hell is that?") when they see my brick of a phone. So yeah, it does make it quite bulky compared to even the 2000mAh battery. But if you're a power user and need all the extra you can get then it is worth it.
I complained to the guys at nakedcellphone.com and the guy sent me a new cover for the Mugen battery, have to say, amazing service. I should have given them kudos weeks ago. The new cover for the Mugen does NOT slide off and is very good.
Now, I need a hard case for this thing. Anyone know of a place I can get one?

How is the new cover different? Shaped differently or just fits more snugly, or both? I got mine from them, and it may be too late for me to complain since I've had it for a while now, but do you think they'd send me one if I asked? I'd even pay for it (not $60 or howevermuch, but some) if the cover is that good.
The best "hard case" I've found is by Otterbox, but I don't think that's the kind you've got in mind.
Let me know the details on that different Mugen battery cover; I could use that.

Nothing is different, I am guessing that the new one they sent just didn't fall off as much. Maybe the original one sent was defective.

I also saw that Mugen battery and drooled, but for $100... Amazon.com has a Cameron Sino 2400mAh battery for $20... 3000mAh is probably more a custom item to begin with, but a 600mAh increase for only $80?
I've used Cameron Sino batteries before -- never had a problem.
Good replacement case cover as well - it doesn't fall off...

Extended battery + one of a kind custom case

Check this out.
I had to buy the 3500 mah battery for my Vibrant. The stock battery would die before noon with minimal use on a stock rom. The only problem with the upgraded battery is that my awesome case I bought off ebay didn't fit anymore. So for the last six months my vibrant has been naked. I could only find one true case for the phone that would fit with the 3500 mah battery installed, and it was hideous.
Mulling over the problem I decided to just make a case for my phone. Nobody else was going to.
So I made one. Well I tried anyway. My idea was to cut one out of wood. I took two days and did the best I could. After the cutting was done and before the staining and finishing I took it to work to see if my buddy could take it home and bring it back with some better routing done on it. He had the tools. I had a dremel and a pocket knife.
He must have taken pity on me because he made this for me complete with a brass power button. I get it tomorrow.
That looks really big and uncomfortable. Lol. Why not just flash a battery saving ROM?

Not bad man. Keep up the good work! I got a 3500 battery with a custom fit TPU case off ebay. Case fits nice, and battery life has tripled. I got the battery and door, and the tpu case for like under $30. Check it out if your wooden awesomeness doesnt work out.

Is this supposed to be a joke? I haven't laughed as hard as I did when I saw that picture in a loooooong time!
You will probably need some shoulder straps so you can lug that thing around on your back.
Seriously though, that is some really sweet work your friend did on the case! I like to see others put their ingenuity to good use!
WTH! You just put a fat suit on a supermodel!
Damn good machine/press work there...A lil big for my tastes, but very well put together.
It's aluminum, so it shouldn't be too heavy. I don't think it's much bigger than an iphone with an Otter box on it. I get it back today. I just hope it doesn't destroy the reception.
All the holes that need to be there are there - mic, jack, usb, camera, speaker, and the buttons are functional.

I laughed too, by far that is the worst thing I've ever seen. Easy tip for you.. look up fiberglass molds, its so easy to do, so cheap.. same concept you could build a nicelightweight speaker box.. some nice paint and clearcoat an it would look better than stock. I guess with you it is all about function at ANY cost(even I have limits)..
The simplest explanation would be you NEED a non stock rom, or more likely three is something wrong with your stock battery(likely) or hardware(depends what you get out o that brick of a battery)
New battery with a stable rom, underclocked with the most recent kernel to save battery life an you should get 12 hours with really heavy use

Edit: I wanted to modify my opinion, it is creative, may be functional.. but you can make a better finished product that will clip right on cheap and easy for a few Google searches.. my 2¢
Oh, ad if you are at all embrassed about the finished product you should delete the post, I can totally imagine this being featured on engadget or some other website for the unanimous laugh it would bring..
hollly F**K hahahahahah ROFL.... thats a freaking tube tv with a small screen...
That looks so retarded...... lmao my pack of cigarettes looks thinner.
Bro I think the case is awesome. People would buy that! Its got to be almost indestructible except for the screen opening.
I say good job. Forget these guys that say its ugly.
Vibrant+MIUI
Signal is unaffected. It IS big, but I like it. It's just a little bigger than an iPhone with an otter box. Size wise it's 1/4 inch wider and taller than stock, and 0.08 thicker now than it was with the extended battery (0.03 on top and 0.05 on bottom). I can't post pictures because my only camera at this point is my vibrant. It's hard to tell scale by the original picture. It looks bigger than it actually is.
Someone mentioned cost. My friend charged me only for materials - $14
I figured there were going to be haters/critics. There always are. The good thing is that there is only one of these - mine - and as a consequence only one person has to like it; me. And I do.
Minus the screen, which has a protector, the phone is near bullet proof.

I use the the Mugen Power 3600mAh. The battery lasts long, how long I don't know exactly. I usually charge the phone every other day.
My guess is that 4 days would be OK before charging. I use a lot of 3G and wireless for surfing the Internet. Email, calendar of course.
The battery cover is made of rather cheap plastic and I was worried the hinges would break of as they did on my previous battery which was some other manufacturer (2700mAh?). This hasn't happened, seems like the cover is sturdy enough but could be made of much better material considering the price.
I recommend this battery.
Thanks! Anyone have a recommendation for one that fits in the stock battery door?

battery bank case?

Hello everyone!
I have looked in both Amazon and eBay and can't seem to find this but do you guys know if there is a battery bank case out there to add more battery on our phones? I have regular battery banks but sometimes it is just more convenient to have a battery that is attached to your phone. If not I think I might just need to get some velcro and a slim battery bank.
Welp, after contacting the major folks: zerolemon, mophie and Motorola they said that they didn't have any plans to make one. I had to get some velcro and make my OWN Moto mods! The left is my Moto g4 plus and to the right is my work iPhone 6s with a real battery case.
can you make this one for me?or tell me how to do?

What strongst said. Below are the parts that you see in the picture. I can't put links yet I don't think.
Case: Incipio DualPro Case [will work with any case or even without one really]
Battery Bank: RAVPower 6700mah Palm Sized Portable Charger Power Bank (2.4A Output & 2A Input, iSmart 2.0 Technology) [I like this one because it provides faster charging which works for our phones and also is a nice handle with this velcro tape]
Velcro tape: Can be bought anywhere, I used the fuzzy side on the phone and the prickly side on the battery bank just because I hold the phone more.
@strongst - Thanks! Yes it does and people look at me weird when I use it. But when I am getting over 2 days battery life and 8-10 hours playing Pokemon Go! I can't complain.
If there is a manufacturer that is willing to make a decent battery case for us I will probably be one of the first ones to jump on it. I have one for my work phone and I don't mind the added weight it brings because I get decent added battery life on it. But I think with budget phones like ours chances are low that someone like ZeroLemon will make one for us.
Opps just broke charge port trying to carry this in pocket.
Easier to get a spare phone on another network than these idiot anker cases. I will be looking hard for a swapping battery phone next time. In safe mode I can only get 1/2 a work day. Which is about 14 to 15 hours.

__[ Review: ZeroLemon 5200mah Battery Case - Excellent Product ]__

======= Summary =======
The ZeroLemon 5,200 mah battery case is great. It offers great battery runtime, Fast Charging, and a smooth-feeling case that also provides additional grip compared to the slippery glass setup of the Galaxy S9+. However, this type of battery case is not for everyone and some people will shun it because of its heftiness and bulkiness. But for people like myself who appreciates this type of battery case - and is willing to find room in one's apparel or bag - this battery case can be a very convenient alternative to carrying around a portable power bank. It is especially useful for when one is on a vacation or a trip that involves more frequent GPS, camera, and multimedia usage.
======= Design =======
The case has perfect fitment and all the buttons, microphones, speaker, and the charging port align correctly. The case is made of soft TPU material that is smooth with some added grip. Compared to past ZeroLemon cases I've used before (Galaxy S4, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S7 Edge), this one is the best one yet. Prior cases felt cheap and the rubber or TPU material felt "less dense." The GS9+ case has a higher-quality feel and a more "dense" feel, for a lack of a better word. In other words, I like it this time and holding the case for long periods of time doesn't make me feel bad that I placed a really expensive phone inside a really cheap and crappy case.
Installation of the phone into the battery case is a simple and easy affair. I start by angling the phone a bit and inserting the phone starting with the bottom half of the phone. Once the USB Type C port on the phone clicks into the case, I push and pop in the top part of the phone. When removing the phone, I reverse the process and take out the top part of the phone first.
I really like how easy it is to press the hardware buttons. Due to the sides of the case being properly rigid but also thin, the buttons are easily activated with no extra force.
I also REALLY appreciate the fact that this case is fully-compatible with my full-adhesive TGSP (EyeO2). My two previous ZeroLemon cases (GS6E, GS7E) prevented me from using a TGSP by causing the glass protector to pop off.
Besides the extra thickness and weight introduced by using a battery case - which everyone (hopefully) expects before spending money on one - there is one additional minor annoyance. The fingerprint sensor (FPS) is harder to get to because it is now deeply recessed inside the camera cutout area. It is not super hard to reach but it does take some time to get used to. Fortunately, the FPS sensor on the GS9+ is much faster to activate than it was on the GS8+ and is more tolerant to different fingertip placements. As a result, I was still able to unlock my phone 100% of the time but it just took a little longer to unlock the phone because it took more time for me to make my finger travel to the FPS.
Another aspect that became slightly more difficut was using the phone one-handed. Although I don't have big hands, I do have long fingers. With just a slim case on the GS9+, I can do everything with just one-hand. With the ZeroLemon battery case on, I can still do things one-handed but it became more difficult and strenous.
To sum it up, I find the design of the GS9+ ZeroLemon battery case to be their best one yet.
======= Performance =======
The performance of the battery case lived up to my expectations and their marketing claims. The case offers Fast Charging and my phone took advantage of it often and charged up my phone very quickly (see my picture). Turning On and Off the battery case is dead simple and easy to use as well. Hold down the button on the back of the case for a few seconds to Activate and hold down the button for a few seconds to Deactivate.
The battery case itself gets charged through its USB Type C port and I experienced no charging issues. I charge all my electronic gear at bedtime and leave them plugged in overnight. I don't know how long it takes to fully charge the battery case from empty but it is fully charged and ready to go when I wake up in the morning.
I've never had any performance or quality issues with past ZeroLemon battery cases and this one for the GS9+ is no exception. If my past experiences are any indication for the future, this case will become a reliable and dependable companion for those times when I really need the extra juice & stamina (long social outings, vacations, trips, etc).
======= So, is it good? =======
Absolutely. ZeroLemon has been in business for a long time now and is one of the market leaders when it comes to battery cases. Although I've never had to use their warranty before, I know they have a good reputation for customer care and support. Their customer support via email is certainly timely and friendly. This GS9+ battery case improves upon their previous designs, fixes prior shortcomings, and performs excellently. It is an excellent substitution and/or addition to a portable power bank and I highly recommend it.

It's a Full-Adhesive (not edge-adhesive) TGSP from a company called EyeO2 on Amazon. Here is the link to where I purchased mine:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BBQYZRF/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It doesn't look like it would do much protection for drops if it lands face down or on the curved side? That's the only thing that's keeping me from it even with a protector on it.
My S9+ shows slow charging when being charged with the ZeroLemon 5200mah Battery Case. I did check and the case is fully charged. Obviously there is no setting in the case that would cause this.
Do you think I have a setting wrong in my S9+?

I have the s9 version of the case and it is behaving exactly the same and I can see from zerolemon page there is no fast charge mentioned just 5v 1.8A of course we would prefer a fast charge version with Qi support
Talked to zerolemon and they claimed the product does support fast charging and asked me to reinstall the case as it may be connection issue
