I have in slot one O2 and in slot two a T-mobile card.
Standard network Slot is Slot one. Dual Lte is activated.
When I have a call from slot 1 I can use Internet during the call. When I use slot 2 for calls the Internet don't work during a call.
Someone a idea who I can use Internet too when I call whit Sim/Slot 2 card?

I have the same settings. But both (call and Internet) I can use only the same time when the call start from the sim who stay in my "standard data", in this case sim 2.
So when I start a call from sim 1 I can't use the Internet during the call [emoji19]

I think you are misunderstanding the meaning of Dual 4G/LTE.
It's for VoLTE.
It's not for pure data connections.
You still need to chose an active SIM.
There is no auto switch data active. That sounds like what you want. LTE line with no call.
Doesn't work that way.

OK. Thank you. Yes, so I misunderstanding. But I remember my last Phone, the Mate 10 this works. So perhaps I must back to Huawei[emoji17] because its important for me.

VoLte active on both sim "Jio" and "Vodafone" but during call internet active only if the call n data Sim is same, if call n data on different sim then internet disconnected.
I was glad to hear that Google are adding dual sim support to Android Q.
I've only tried dual sim about 3 times and I didn't have a very good experience.
I might read it somewhere that SOC 845 doesn't support real 4g standby.

You don't need a foreign SIM. Any SIM from another Carrier (also Carriers from your country) will trigger the SIM lock.

Ah, that's what I meant -- without a SIM from another company.
Nope. Not on the X play unfortunately. You could ask your carrier if your phone is locked.
Has anyone else used the second sim slot yet?
I've got 2 sims. I use the first one for everything. The second one is just for incoming texts (calls are diverted to the first one - history). Sometimes, when I look, it shows no signal on the second sim. I reboot the phone and it gets a signal. This has happened twice now.
Anyone any ideas?

You can't use both simcard at the same time. You can only choose which sim can do what. Example: SIM1 uses calls and text. SIM2 uses data. or Vice Versa.

I thought that was for outgoing. What happens about incoming?
Just checked. My wife sent me a text to my second sim number and it came in OK

The phone is dual SIM dual standby https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dual_SIM#Standby both can be used but only one at a time

I have no idea but I use both sim slots. One for work and one for privacy. I have had no issues with connectivity.

False, that's just for the defaults outgoing. You can actually use both SIMs at the same time to receive calls and SMS.
Only thing you can't use at same time on both is DATA (you can't have both data connections active at the same time).
About your specific issue with the signal drop. There was a bug (apparently for NL only) related to signal drops.
I had something similar too on Voda IE and updating to 4.5.4 seems to ahve fixed that.
Worth giving it a try maybe.

i m using 8 pro my question is my data activated on 1st sim but when i hv call on my 2nd sim my data deactivated so OP should work on this just like samsung switch automatically data on working sim (using for call)

I really have strange issue
I have op8 pro in2023 with Android 11 with two sim cards
1st one for call and it use 3g network and 2nd for internet by using 4g lte...
One I am going to do call by sim one , I immediately lose the data connection permanently just like there is no signal in sim2 at all !
I can recover that by restart or simply by activate and de activate aeroplane mode!
Please any suggestion
I don't have such idiot issue in samsung nor in huawei

I know that we cant use both sim at sqme time
But the 2nd sim should resume his work automatically after the end of call from 1st sim right? Mine did not work at all till i restart or just activite and de activte the air plane. Mode.

I've got two sims also. Tell me what setup you have , I know you mentioned sim one is for calls and 3G? And sim 2 is for data only? I don't see an option on here. I have a global setting for 3g 4g 5g etc and then I also have a default option to state voice or data for each line as a preference.

I used every method to solve this issue through 4 days and I really hate One plus for that annoying BUT
some one told me I should activate the VOLTE through setting , but unfortunately I didnt find this option too !
