Missing Text Messages - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

So every now and then I'm missing a couple of texts and I think it's due to battery optimization and/or deep sleep on but I'm not too sure. I'm on Verizon btw. Is anyone else having this issue?

[Q] Notification Battery Drain?

I have searched for some hours now without finding an answer anywhere so i thought i might try here since there are obviously alot ppl here with far more knowledge about android than me :b
Whenever i receive a notification for either an sms or a mail through the Gmail app unless i remove it the phone wont go to sleep, the screen stays off but it drains battery like crazy.
I loose about 2% battery overnight if nothing happens, but if i receive a sms or mail during the night it has dropped about 50% by the time i wake up.
Is there any way to fix this or will i have to turn off sync?
I might have solved the sms drain by disabling the notifications for the stock sms app and using the Go Sms Pro instead.
It seems to work but i havent really tried it long enough to make a conclusion.
Is it an issue with android or some specific roms, or maybe even the phone itself?
Cause i´ve seen others post about the same problem but no one seems to find a solution.
I´m using Swedish Spring RLS5 atm but i really dont think its rom specific.
Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction
Well i dont know if your rom is overcloked, many times by receving a sms or a phone call may trigger some battery drain on your device, some oc kernels are a bit unstable
Tips ,well you could get a app manager with auto.kill even if youre device is sleep mode and you get a notification it will kill the process, use launcher pro, many launcher's out there, the way wich they interact with the system it self may cause baterry drain, so take these tips in mind, try and use other roms and see what happens

[Q] Annoying data toggle message?

I did some searching and didn't find a lot of information, so I thought I would go ahead and ask.
I just updated to 4.4.2 on my Verizon LG G2, and just started getting a rather annoying pop-up message when I toggle mobile data.
Each time I turn it on or off, it gives me a warning saying that I am turning it on or off. No option to remember my selection or not show up again.
Anyone else having issues with this? It is very annoying to me. Is there any way to fix this issue? I am not rooted, but will definitely consider it if there is a viable solution.
Thanks!
Edit: added photos of the pop-up messages
No one else having issues with this? Or is this a normal thing that I haven't experienced before? It hasn't ever happened on my previous ROMS or phones (GS3).

Can't receive text messages on ZE551KL until I send one myself. Anyone else?

Weird as it sounds, exactly what the thread title says: if enough time goes by (not sure how long, but definitely happens overnight) or I restart my phone (ZE551KL), text messages won't come through. At all. They don't come in late...they never come in.
Once I send a text (doesn't matter who I send it to), texts work just fine (for a while, at least). I really don't think it's a carrier thing (Cricket, an AT&T MVNO in the US). My APN settings are all good and test messages they've sent me (talking to tech support) have operated on the same pattern I described.
I've read of similar issues on various other phones and mostly on the T-Mobile network...the consensus seems to be the software. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?
EDIT: Nuts, wrong section. Can a mod move this to Q&A/Troubleshooting? Thanks!
Turn off power saver and other Asus bloatware. Auto start manager add text and WhatsApp should fix it. Did for mine

Random Missing Texts Issue?

Anyone else having this issue?
http://www.techradar.com/news/your-samsung-galaxy-s8-might-not-be-receiving-every-text
I am on an Unlocked/BestBuy-bought S8 being used on Verizon. Never had any problems, and then suddenly started hearing from people (including the wife) that I'm not responding to texts. I then figure out - it's because I never got them. It's brutal, because some come through, and some don't, with no apparent correlation, and you don't know what you don't see! (Almost wish none came through, so I could say - text messaging is broken! Unfortunately, it's only "kinda" broken!)
So I did some searching and found this thread on Reddit:
https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS8/c...texts_on_s8_all_carriers_all/?sort=confidence
Some solutions I've found say it's a carrier/bloatware issue. Well, not for me - I have no carrier bloatware, and have been using Textra.
Others say it's any 3rd party texting app, so I went back to Samsung stock. They also were saying it could be the battery optimization putting apps to sleep, so I did see that Textra was being "monitored" (and I guess theoretically could be getting put to sleep while texts were coming in, and then not retrieving them after?). I disabled that as well, and have been checking on my usage on the VerizonWireless website - haven't noticed any missed ones since this weekend, but it's a pain to have to log on and reconcile texts on my phone vs. the website.
Apparently, Samsung is aware of it and working on a software update to correct it, but I haven't been pushed the rumored October update yet. Guess we'll see...
Anyone else have the issue or a solution?!

texting problems: wlan-data conflict

My wife and I have identical Moto G7 phones. In the last couple of days we've both had problems sending out texts. No problem receiving texts, just sending out.
The texts fail to go out with an error message saying to tap again to try again. But this repeats itself until I turn off the wifi on the phone. Then the text goes out with no problem.
So there seems to be some kind of conflict between data (T-Mobile) and the wlan. This only started recently.
Anyone else see this? Is there a solution?
i have experienced similar issues with the stock google messages app. I hate to say my fix was installing the Verizon messaging app. (I'm on verizon) and it seemed to fix it.

Thanks. Tried Pulse and it does the same thing on both our phones.
It's not the apps. The behavior is new (1 month) and may be a new underlying android or Google services bug. Something todo with the wifi to data handover.
