I did some searching and didn't find a lot of information, so I thought I would go ahead and ask.
I just updated to 4.4.2 on my Verizon LG G2, and just started getting a rather annoying pop-up message when I toggle mobile data.
Each time I turn it on or off, it gives me a warning saying that I am turning it on or off. No option to remember my selection or not show up again.
Anyone else having issues with this? It is very annoying to me. Is there any way to fix this issue? I am not rooted, but will definitely consider it if there is a viable solution.
Thanks!
Edit: added photos of the pop-up messages
No one else having issues with this? Or is this a normal thing that I haven't experienced before? It hasn't ever happened on my previous ROMS or phones (GS3).

Hi All.
I've persevered with this problem long enough and I'm reaching the point where I'm ready to send my phone back and ask for something else.
The problem is, seemingly at random, the phone loses the notification settings for SMS, MMS and reminders and silences them all and turns off all display messages.
The only way I catch a message coming in these days is to have the phone on the desk and watch for the screen turning on.
It leaves the volume up for the phone ringing etc but switches off messages.
It's absolutely doing my head in. I've googled but noone else seems to be reporting similar messages so I'm wondering if there is something really easy I'm missing or is it a hardware thing some how.
Anyone got any ideas? Filaing that, has anyone got a backup of the original UK T-Mobile ROM that I can put back on?
Cheers,
Smiffy.
Exactly the same is happening to my dual, after I upgraded to WM 6.1! It's really annoying.
I reported the problem to Customer Support, but they only recommended to perform a hard reset
Of course I did, but nothing happens.
I found the registry keys which are supposed to control this, but it's useless for me - Maybe someone can find a way to keep the settings in read-only mode or something
I hope HTC release a hotfix for this problem asap!
Hi all,
This is my first post on this blog however I'm reading it from a pair of years, so thanks all for any previous help
I've just bought a Nexus 4 after used a Nexus S. The device is powerful, completely fluid and I'm happy with it except for a weird problem that I'm having and I don't know how to fix it.
Since the first time that I've turned it on I'm continuously getting a weird message (pop up) which says "Sending..." but I don't know what it's sending!!
Even worse, this message prevents screen from turning off!!!
At the beginning I thought that some previous app was crashing and tried to send some stats, so I've formatted it avoiding to restore my apps.
Since I'm posting here, it's clear that I'm still having this problem
Has anyone had this problem or anyone can suggest me a way to investigate it?
I've attached a screenshot with the pop up.
Looking forward for your reply
Thanks all
Cheers
This notification shows up after every reset. Obviously most of us know without mobile data or wifi Internet or some other apps don't work, no need to be reminded about it every time. There's no option for do not show again for this notification. Has anyone figured out how to get rid of it? This is almost as annoying as the constant "connect to wifi" reminder when the Galaxy S3 first came out. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you

Before I get your hopes up, I don't have a solution, just a few musings...
I've never seen this before, but if it pops up after a reboot, you might try to find something in Xposed, or try looking through Data Usage, Mobile Networks, or WiFi in settings; there could be something in there.
Does this pop up no matter what, or is it only if you try to do something after a reboot? If it's the latter, you might try just waiting a few more seconds before using the phone after a reboot.

It only happens if I have mobile data turned off before I reboot, or if it's somehow turned off when the phone enters the home screen. The funny thing is it's almost trying to 'force' me to use mobile data, so like even if WiFi is on when the phone starts up, I'll get this notification. It's almost the opposite of the "connect to WiFi" notification that the S3 had.
I'm on a Dev edition Note 3 running Beans rom build 2, if that matters, with everything almost as stock as possible compared to the stock TW rom. I don't know if anyone else with the MJ3 or MJ7 rom gets this notification, I'm guessing they do on stock too.
Just curious, why do you shut data off? Your phone won't use your data connection if it's connected to WiFi.
Unfortunately, I don't have a solution :/

Weird as it sounds, exactly what the thread title says: if enough time goes by (not sure how long, but definitely happens overnight) or I restart my phone (ZE551KL), text messages won't come through. At all. They don't come in late...they never come in.
Once I send a text (doesn't matter who I send it to), texts work just fine (for a while, at least). I really don't think it's a carrier thing (Cricket, an AT&T MVNO in the US). My APN settings are all good and test messages they've sent me (talking to tech support) have operated on the same pattern I described.
I've read of similar issues on various other phones and mostly on the T-Mobile network...the consensus seems to be the software. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?
EDIT: Nuts, wrong section. Can a mod move this to Q&A/Troubleshooting? Thanks!
Turn off power saver and other Asus bloatware. Auto start manager add text and WhatsApp should fix it. Did for mine
Hi everyone! Wondering if you guys may have heard of or are familiar with an issue I recently came across. First I'll rattle off my specs.
LGV20 H91820f
Oreo 8.0.0
Rooted using Lafsploit
TWRP Recovery
Magisk Manager
Textra Texting App (This is important)
The issue I am having seemed to have started rather recently and specifically occurs the most when receiving and sending text messages. I have noticed that in some cases, when sending a text, it will vibrate once sent. This does not happen on all texts and is even intermittent on the texts that it does happen with. I have looked through Textra and have not seen any settings which do that. The other issue is, prior to receiving a text my phone will do a long vibrate, then once the text is received, I will get the vibrate pattern I have set up. Again, I have not seen any settings in the App or in the phone that indicate why that would be happening. I have disabled the default messaging app to see if that might be interfering in some way but to no avail. I haven't found too many answers searching online. Anyone have any other insight or possible solutions? Feedback is greatly appreciated. If you need any more information about my setup, please let me know.
