Hi guys,
I have a problem with my WiFi. It turns on/off all the time.
I use the stock ROM. The time I had Lollipop on my phone I could turn off the "WiFi power saving" in the "Service Mode" over the code *#0011#. Everything worked fine, also after the update to Marshmallow.
But after I put the phone to factory reset I have the same problem and I can't turn off the "WiFi power saving" in the "Service Mode". The button on/off is not more existing.
Can anyone help me? I am looking for a solution for a long time. I still haven't found anything in the internet that helped me.
No one can help me?
Try Settings, Wi-Fi, Advanced, Keep Wi-Fi on During Sleep .
Hope that helps.
replace wifi antennae?

So i wake up this morning and decide to check my email. So i turn on my wifi. When i came back to check it the wifi wasn't turn on. I tried again to turn in on but it says "Unable to scan for network"
It was working perfectly fine last night.
I already tried to restarted by holding the power button and pressing restart and by taking the battery out, but it still keeps saying "unable to scan for network"
oh and I'm running a completely stocked phone.
Could my wifi chip just crapped out on me ?
Restart your phone again and restart your modem/WiFi router. See if works after that. Do the modem and router first before you restart your phone. Disable WiFi on your phone before rebooting.
I tried that also but no luck.
When i try turning the wifi on and after it gives me the message the wifi turns its-self back off.
Same thing happens when trying to make a hotspot.
Anybody ??????
try restore factory settings
So i did a factory reset on the phone and still no luck.
My wifi still doesn't turn on at all.
Guys,
I updated my tab a few days ago. Now the market looks different but unfortunately I'm facing another irritating problem which I have no clue how to solve.
Every time that I turn off the tab, and let it be idle for 10 minutes, when I turn it back on, the WiFi icon will show no bars - which translates into no internet connectivity. That happens while the WiFi button is still pressed (green in the pop-up menu). In order for the device to connect to the net I need to turn the WiFi OFF and than ON and it works.
I checked the WiFi sleep configuration and they are set to "never turn it off" I also rebooted the device but with no change.
Please let me know what to do... as this thing sometimes just drives me crazy.
Thanks.

Flash a custom rom bro. Otherwise you are stuck with Samsung's awesome bugs. If you don't want to flash a custom rom there isn't really much you can do about it considering you're not rooted. What did you update to? KMP???
I did the regular Samsung update -the latest one that was released a couple of says ago. The problem with rooting is losing the coverage I have for insuring the device... which I'm reluctant to do. I'm sure it has a solution somewhere...
Yes I confirm.
This "reconnect" issue is being discussed on many forums with no solutions yet. (except custom ROM)
Hello,
I have a very big problem with my new google nexus 7. I bought it two days ago. My tablet sometimes when is connected to wifi network (at home, at work etc.) automatically shut down on sleep mode. Does anyone have the same problem like me? This is very frustrating and I don't know what to do. I think about asus service but maybe is some solution. Please help. I will be very grateful. I made factory reset and hard reset and still is the same.

Thank you for your advice but I have this option set up to always. I don't know why my nexus shut down itself on sleep mode
Hi guys, I've already solved this issue but couldn't find any info on it while it was going on, so wanted to share what happened and how to fix it, just in case someone else runs into this. I think this is the most appropriate section to post, but if not, please feel free to move it, mods.
The problem was this: WiFi suddenly stopped working on my rom. It just straight up wouldn't turn on. Pressing the wireless icon in the launcher did nothing, and from the settings menu I'd see the "to see available networks, turn Wi-Fi on" message, even if I turned it on. Coming out of that screen and going back in would show the WiFi was still turned off. Reboots didn't work, uninstalling suspect apps didn't work. I was ready to wipe & reinstall the rom.
The solution is this: I then had what I thought was a really dumb idea. Try changing the WiFi frequency band. It worked. I'll explain what I did step by step;
Long press the WiFi button in your notifications bar, or go to Settings>WiFi
Press the menu button (either the menu key on your phone, or the three dots at the top left of the screen) and select 'Advanced'
Tap on 'Wi-Fi frequency band', and change it from automatic to '5 GHz only' (it may be your WiFi is on the 2.4 Ghz band. I'll come to that)
Reboot your phone
If your WiFi is on the 5GHz band, and your issue was the same as mine, it will now connect to the network and you'll have internet (you may need to turn WiFi on, first)
If it didn't, repeat the steps above, but this time choose '2.4GHz only' instead of 5.
Hopefully you'll now be online again. If you like, you can now change the frequency band setting to automatic again, and the WiFi should work just like it was before.
I really hope this can help some folks who might experience this in the future. It was such a weird issue, and it's such a simple yet obscure fix. With any luck this'll prevent any unneeded wipes.
Had a similar issue on another device... this might help with that too.
How to Save this setting.
How to save it, as soon as i leave that page it changes to Automatic.
Hi, I'm running a rooted stock Oreo (version 8.0.0) and I've just discovered that when I turn flight mode on, if I then turn wifi on, I get the pop-up message "In flight mode" and the wifi icon in Quick Settings stays a light blue shade but Wifi doesn't actually turn on.
I may be mistaken but I thought this was working last year and I haven't done any updates to the phone.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
Kind regards,
Mack.
Hi, I'm pretty sure you can use this:
SystemUI Tuner - Apps on Google Play
PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE INSTALLING
play.google.com
One of the settings allows you to tune Airplane Mode.
Just to update - I think there must have been some kind of data corruption... I did a factory reset and it all worked correctly again.
