This is A series 2017 thread. If you aren't an anti-google person and had backup enabled, all data should come to your new phone. If you didn't, you could try adb backup if adb debugging was enabled.

Not really. This forum is for A-series 2015-2016.
A-series 2017 got their own forum. https://forum.xda-developers.com/samsung-a-series-2017

It was probably moved since I posted that because I subscribe to a series 2017 only.

I can't help you, sorry, but you should look into sugar sync. Lets you store up to 5 Gb of whatever you want for free cloud-style. Meaning that if you lose you HDD, you will be able to have important files already backed up and ready to be downloaded back to your new drive.
check my sig for the link.

Sorry, can't help with that as only have bct for IO tab but am fairly sure that there is no major difference, if any...could upload it for you to try if you want...if you're bricked anyway you haven't got much to lose
EDIT/ seems that I cannot find it at the moment following mass computer changovers (and I thought I was organised)

part2.zip is the file to look for in the thread
As for your other post that lufc so rightly closed (space is space y'know )
Do you mean "bootloader.bin" ? If so, download nvflash.zip from here http://droidbasement.com/galaxy/nvflash/ (thanks to pershoot)
bootloader.bin is in the zip file along with partition info etc.
Hi guys!!
First of all, thanks for all the help regarding the kindle fire rooting procedure.. it was quick and fun
Coming to the point, i have been wondering is it possible to mount a sd card reader to the micro usb port and read it.. if so can you please tell me how..
Regards
Kishore V
This is possible. You need a micro usb to usb adapter I got mine on amazon circa 2, bucks. You'll need a file manager to view the files as well as a custom kernel that supports usb host mode. This has not been compiled yet. So as of right now there's no way to do is.

I just connected my other android device (Nexus S) and ADB worked fine. I backed up my apps without rooting. But when I connected my Galaxy S4 and typed "adb devices", no devices showed up. Is there a trick to getting ADB to work on Galaxy S4?

Hi,
I am not sure what you mean.
They lead to the files you need to install adb etc.

I'm just wondering if they link to the official Samsung and Google websites, or did someone upload them to a file-sharing website?

Hello i'v got a free s4 which was not working. I'v connected it with pc and got QHSUSB_DLOAD detected installed drivers and now i can see the device using QPST. Is there anyway that i can unbrick this without JTAG? I saw the thread which can solve the problems but its old and the links are broken.. Any ideas? Thanks for your help...
I think you have a dead boot. It can be fixed since the PC recognizes it, but I don't know if it is possible without pro tools.

Dear all,
Hello and sorry for my bad English.
Update done with screen update and screen is turned of.
Screen is total black, only back light is turned on.
File 6523lcdconfig.cfg which I've got with firmware from seller caused this situation.
(clnpL10P8-MIPI-yt10-SC7705_720X1280_HAIHANG 20200615 15:37:24).
Look at attached picture.
Yes, I know that I've done mistake, but now is too late.
I don't need to say that seller now trying to avoid any answer to me.
Have anyone 6315lcdconfig.cfg or 6523lcdconfig.cfg or 6521lcdconfig.cfg for this type of display?
(L10P8-MIPI-SAT-ICN9707_720X1280)
Does somebody know where to find this kind of file or how to generate correct one?
Is there some tool like generator or editor?
Google is not friend for this search definitely.
Please help me with this issue...
Thanks in advance,
best regards!
