Hi guys!!
First of all, thanks for all the help regarding the kindle fire rooting procedure.. it was quick and fun
Coming to the point, i have been wondering is it possible to mount a sd card reader to the micro usb port and read it.. if so can you please tell me how..
Regards
Kishore V
This is possible. You need a micro usb to usb adapter I got mine on amazon circa 2, bucks. You'll need a file manager to view the files as well as a custom kernel that supports usb host mode. This has not been compiled yet. So as of right now there's no way to do is.

Why not use a Mifi or a Huawei E5830?
Or if you have already an Android 2.2 Phone, use Wifi Tethering?
Hello
My experience :
First : same problem : my tablet don't want to connect with my HD2 (Rom WM NRGZ), while my laptop can do.
But today I show my Iconia 500 to my work, and a friend with her HTC Desire HD with Android custom ROM and wifi tethering connect it without problem...
But it's not a USB modem it's wifi tethering (I'm probably off topic ?)

Hi
I've the same combination (iconia-hd2 wm) and wrestled quite a while to tether in windows mobile. Tried numerous wpa-supplicants and tetherprogs but none worked. The solution.......change your HD2 from windows to Android. I've CyanogenMod Android 2.2. (search in HD2 forum) I can dual boot but so satisfied with Android that i keep it running continuous. Tethering the Iconia.........just start "wireless tethering" in Android, connect and ready.

Thanks, that worked for me.
I have a ZTE 3G USB.
Also tried tethering with a Galaxy S, also that works.
Just follow the steps from the post, and it should work.

I don't think it will work with USB..at least I didn't find a way to do this with my PC
Not to be completely annoying, but the [DEV] thread is for someone who knows their way around. If anyone could post a dummy's step-by-step it would be a huge help for noobie android enthusiasts.

simple question, is there any way to enable usb ntfs support for the PRIMEE v1.4 rom? i cant seem to find any information about it.
Why don't you try asking the dev, in the PRIMEE thread?
well. i did. i was wondering if there was something else out there. it doesn't look like its supported outright. but i wasn't sure if someone else figured it out. (i also dont want to fill up the dev section with not so important questions. ) just to clarify. its not a priority to me. just asking
seen this?

Guys make it easier go to the market and look up usb mount all. Or go to prime's thread and look I made a post to the link in the market the app works great install.
Open the app and select what drive you want to mount. Then when you are done select unmount.

Your answer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmvCpR45LKA
And also in wrong section, should ask in Q&A
Sorry...
BTW the problem probably is in your OS not in ROM
I'm probably not the only one that will tell you that mo matter how terrible your problem looks to you you shoudn't post things like this in developer section
now go and find another usb cable and try how it behaves
Since we're piling on your forum etiquette you may also want to name your thread something germane to this issue next time.
Moderator, could you please move this thread to the Q&A section?
Thanks.
thanks...yes move this tread to Q&A...
sorry for put it here!

I can't help you, sorry, but you should look into sugar sync. Lets you store up to 5 Gb of whatever you want for free cloud-style. Meaning that if you lose you HDD, you will be able to have important files already backed up and ready to be downloaded back to your new drive.
check my sig for the link.

Sorry, can't help with that as only have bct for IO tab but am fairly sure that there is no major difference, if any...could upload it for you to try if you want...if you're bricked anyway you haven't got much to lose
EDIT/ seems that I cannot find it at the moment following mass computer changovers (and I thought I was organised)

part2.zip is the file to look for in the thread
As for your other post that lufc so rightly closed (space is space y'know )
Do you mean "bootloader.bin" ? If so, download nvflash.zip from here http://droidbasement.com/galaxy/nvflash/ (thanks to pershoot)
bootloader.bin is in the zip file along with partition info etc.
Hi,
can I take out the sd card and insert another one while the device is on? Or could this lead to any damage?
I could not find any advise in forums or in the manual.
Thank you!

Maybe you could add this point to your tutorial here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12263498&postcount=1
Since it does not state, when to insert SD card.
Thanks for your fine work on Android for the HD Mini!
