Just check this outstanding ultra wide camera 4k 60 fps original video quality shoot with v9 camera, android 10 beta v19a.
I've been on a boat trip and another person with the iphone 11 pro max was telling me how nice the colors are. Then I've showed him my video, then he showed me his. Put the phones next to each other and the V50 killed the iphone.
More to come!

P.S. you need to watch it on OLED tv or smartphone as on LCD it looks waaay diffrent. Best quality is to download to your device.

IDK why YouTube introduced small jitters in movies. The original are perfect.
it is not shared properly
V50 HDR vs SDR difference. It's actually kind of unexpected as the difference isn't in the colour.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xd__qyfXKzw
Love the Cine Video effects. Strangely enough, panning introduces a lot of blur though. https://youtu.be/G9-JiIM5dzc
Before I bought v50 I was using Pixels and Sony devices and I could record 4k videos without any limitation. I am surprised why v50 has 10 or even 6 minutes 4k recording limit. I have seen this type of limits last time in 2016. Why this silly limitation exist and how to remove this ridiculous limitation from stock camera? In home we have s10 with ****ty Exynos which is able to record 4k/60fps even for long hours as a dashcam during track day and I am really shamed why my LG cannot record properly 4k videos while my friend record freely long 4k videos using 5 yers old iPhone although she probably rents this iPhone from British museum. Any camera mod or workaround?
Pixel has the same limitation.

Hey,
Coming from a custom Note 2 this thing eats everything alive. I have posted a quick article on my G+ with initial day 1 thoughts on audio/video and generally comparing it against Note 2. Take a look if you want: https://plus.google.com/u/0/110518768053945426802/posts/A67qR4TjCwL

I played this on my 4k monitor and it looked really good!
1440P for me for the time being, 4k is too expensive
Is a pitty that Samsung divide their devices between Snapdragon and the crappy Exynos 5. Unfortunately in my country I will receive the Exynos version of $amsung Galaxy Note 3, that only record videos in 1080p.
my 4k video test , remember to select Original in Playback Quality
Both of these are really, really good!

Is it windy? I imagine from the location it is, but the wind noise is nowhere near as bad as the Note 1
in my video, i have audio zoom enabled, so it was zooming in on diff sounds from the sorrounding....without it would have been much better i guess...
what size was the video on the phone?
The audio Zoom option is greyed out if you choose 4k resolution so will use normal audio for that res. It was windy in my video yeah although not too bad. Wind noise is controlled quite well and the mics are better than on the Note 2
10 sec video was 52mb in size
Multiple reviews and comparisons have shown the G6's camera performance to be comparable to the Pixel/S8/U11 and in some instances, outclassing them. The main area that keeps the G6 from being the definitive flagship camera is the added sharpening that makes images look less natural. Video mode is especially troublesome as it also has boosted color saturation. Is there a way to disable this post-processing or is it baked-in?
It's baked in. I was actually not too impressed with this camera as it oversharpens a lot and there's a lot of noise in images even in lighter conditions. You can tell they used a sensor that is used in even budget phones.
Shoot RAW and develop in PS Express our Snapseed, massive difference between jpegs from camera app vs ones processed from RAW, I showed a comparison in the photography thread.

Besides for the overprocessing the IQ is very good as mentioned in most reviews. Way better than my iPhone 7 IQ.

I will try RAW. It is a shame that there is no video settings that can be adjusted. I wonder if there are any third party apps that can access hidden settings.

look that in 4k : https://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2017/23/6/1497121124-fdfs.jpg wtf for a flag chip its very bad !
see here, crop on left from the OEM jpeg and the one on the right the jpeg from PS Express, the one on the right looks much more natural, and has way less processing. The noise cos its a 1600 iso shot.
They ruined the video quality with processing for no reason. It is the same as what Samsung did to their mirrorless cameras. They could have easily outperformed every other top camera manufacturer but they insisted on adding baked-in post-processing that sucked the life out of the image. There is no reason to add sharpening when everyone is using large, razor-sharp displays.
The S8+ video quality is pants too to be fair on 4k. My old pixel was too when any kind of low light was involved. 4k on android phones is pretty dodgy across the board with lots of pixelation.
The photo quality is proven now to be better than any other flagship phone. The trolls in this thread who can't even spell trying to run down the phone don't help their case.

There! Something just happened! Did you take a picture of it? Rate this thread to express how fast the Moto G5S Plus can go from "zero to picture". A higher rating indicates that launching the camera app and taking a photo is extremely fast such that you never miss an important moment, like when your cat attacks the couch again.

Don't forget you can launch the camera by pressing the power button twice. It comes up pretty quickly.
Camera Rating
GSMARENA doesn't rate the camera good at all .. any users having issues with the camera?? Quality seems poor as per their standards also the images they posted taken from the camera doesn't seem that great
Just looking for some feedback .. just ordered the phone online ..
It's a step down from the z3 I used for 3 years. The pictures look ok if you don't look too closely. So if subjects are close to you or fill the frame they're fine, and the hdr works reasonably quickly and well, but if you start zooming in and pixel peeping you'll see outlines around the edges of things and a lack of sharpness. I'm not sure if it's the sort of thing you can fix through software.
Back camera Pictures are yellowish most of the time. Low light pictures are worst.

New video using the stock camera
Video quality on this phone is not good at all.
Hye there guys.
Did anybody have the same issue as mine, that when I start to record a video, there will be
some micro stutters about 2-3 seconds. After that it will be gone, but when I wanna start
a new recording, it will be back again.
I know I can try to use other apps to record videos, but for me stock camera gave the best stabilization.
So, anybody have solution to this?
I'm experiencing the same issue, although I believe it is related to the poor software optimization of MIUI.
Hi, same here with Mi 9T. The worst case is recording video in 4K, with a lot of stutters here and there. Some solutions?
Shocking 4k video quality some videos are just unplayable
---------- Post added at 07:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:59 PM ----------
Also really rubbish slo mo 120/240 not smooth
Sigh. A little bit of relief knowing I'm not the only one. But then this is a global issue, Xiaomi should acknowledge it and
provide solution via updates. So far I still didn't see any camera optimizations from updates that I've received.
Install Google Camera and use it foir everything other than 48M photos. It gives decent 4K videos but don't expect much. You won't see stuttering but fast moving object will bend basically. Kind of like the pencil trick where you hold a pencil horizontally and move it up and down and it seems to bend like if it's made of rubber. It's a $300 phone so..
the processor is pretty weak video-wise so you should've spent your money on 9T Pro for video capabilities

Your talking rubbish pal my previous phone was the 3a XL with the lesser Snapdragon 675 and handled 4k with perfect eis and also before that a mi max 3 which also could do the same with the 636.
Please show evidence next time instead of saying you should of spent more money
And the 1080p 60fps lack of auto focus ..

True. For me the software optimization is the real issue here.
Camera app also lack of good auto focus where sometimes it kept hunting for focus.
So for me the camera app is still not that mature to provide users with perfect camera experience.
It is not about the price. It is about the app quality.
