In Oreo when my battery on 15% my phone reduce the screen brightness automatically when battery saver active, so i know that my phone need charge, but now after Pie update that feature is gone.
Anyone know how to activate it again ?

So, by some or other reason (btw im using floyo 0.25) the screen remained active when i went sleeping.
Then, after 8 hours when i get up, i see the battery life showing frickin' 3% !
Important notifications: before i went sleeping battery life was something in the 64% , the phone was set to flight-mode the whole night and the screen brightness set on its lowest level.
I just wanted to ask: is this normal, such a battery drain, only in 8 hours and in flight-mode, without doing anything at all ?

Isn't there some app running in background? Look to settings => about phone => battery use what drains battery. I have Floyo 0.25 too, but battery last for 2 days. Why was screen on?
You mean the screen was ON the whole night? You didn't turned it OFF?
If you didn't the answer is - yes this battery drain is normal, because x8's screen isn't the power-saving one. It drains the battery very hard even if the brightness is set to the lowest. I have the same problem with my x8 but when using it daily - 10 minutes of playing the game at the highest brightness results of the 2-5% of the battery drain.
Now it says 85% using for screen and 15% for android system

I have check out by battery is in good condition.
but still i have battery drain problems.
problems started the day one i flashed a rom.
and the battery draining problem is just due to display.
without display on data connection on, and full time in proper connectivity area:
with music playback i get approx. 10hrs
or with bluetooth 6hrs
or on call i got 5 hrs
this were my battery stats.
but with display on for just 1 hr without any use idealy on homescreen itself it.
so i needed to know were will i get to change the display settings as i was using the lowest brightness of the rom.
i needed to change other features of display were are they available.
it will thankful of you if you help.
Turn your contrast down, use a conservative kernel setting and apart from that, if its still really bad (after a few battery cycles) then its f+$%ked unfortunately.
Hey there from France,
I have a quick question for you all S edge+ owners.
Very happy with it, but I'd like to tweak some battery saving features. In that respect, what does the regular (not "Ultra") Battery Saving mode exactly do once tunred on?
There is a brief description of course, but I was wondering if it does such stuff as "limit background data", or resorts to location pinging less often, other than the basic "reduce CPU".
Thanks in advance !
well
When i turn on the battery saver, my phone has some lag issues and the brightness turn into lowest, but it seems that the battery is not improve.
Hi guys, I have a little battery issue over night I'm loosing about 4-5% every night ..
I have a OnePlus 5 on open beta 4 everything stock.. and clean flashed when it was out (factory reset after updating with full zip)
When I look in gsam my phone is awake only 10 minutes over 8h of sleep.. so it's not a wakelock I think because the only wakelock I get is netmgr_wl which is a kernel wakelock
I only disable WiFi and Bluetooth and put my phone on DND when I go to sleep
Mobile data is on, NFC on, location on and that's all
I've read here like 2 weeks ago that putting the phone face down help with over night discharge .. but it didn't helped me !
How come that I lose this much compared to some here who are loosing only 1%
Do you know a fix or something that can help me ?

Maybe the others that loosing 1% don't sleep so long, disabled cellphone, used other apps, using no location services at all, disabled Nfc, don't use Google app. There's a lot you can do. But for detailed investigation please do record that behavior with better battery stats and provide a dump file.

Basically, you don't need to disable the cellphone (aka enabling Airplane mode) but if you disable Mobile Data it already helps a lot. If you disable Mobile Data and WiFi, you should get the same 1% battery drain others are reporting.
On a side note, I should add that I drifted away from trying to conserve battery drain because I became a fan of the Always On display app, which makes it convenient to see the time in the night or early morning without having to touch my phone.
Hey guys, on which firmware are you getting the most of your battery life ? I'm suffering battery drain on Android Oreo and even on Android 7.0 firmware 14.02.1712.29 . Tried turning power saver mode on, disabled auto-start apps, brightness level at 50%, no push notifications, no auto-sync, no location service.
