It's fine
Speaker is fine, not to bad but I heard better. It could sometimes be a bit louder, but also in this aspect is ok. I've changed to this phone from Samsung Galaxy S9, so of course, it's no competition in this regard, but dual sim + sdcard, much cleaner ROM and superb battery life make it worth for me (and not last the price). Hope for custom ROMs in the near future.
I was given this phone for free because it was destined for the bin because the speaker was so weak and crackly it was unusable. After many hours of experimentation I came up with a partial fix. The attached video link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bgf0gsxyd4A shows how to disassemble and clean the speaker grill which I would recommend doing. On re-assembly, I cut a piece of a credit card as a shim and put it in the speaker pocket of the black cover plate (the half of the pocket without the metal contacts) as shown in attached pic. This pushes the speaker firmly down which improves the sound. It is still not as good as my Moto G6 but its twice what it was making it barely useable. You can see if this will help before removing the black cover plate (with the screws) by pushing down firmly in the area of the speaker. It should get louder. A heat gun and guitar picks are a necessity to get the back cover off. The heat gun is handy to put the cover back on as well to get the glue to stick.
So far so good. I'd rate it 7/10.
I'd give it a 7/10. For rooted users, Viper4Android helps immensely.

Bought it today and bottom speaker is ubearable to listen at times, distorted sounds, as if it was blown or teared or something. I even tested menu: *#*#7378423#*#* (this is observation from 6 hours of the purchase).
I go way back with xperia long way back, and this is first time i experience this issue.
After couple of reboots and fuul charge through night and lots of speaker max. testing i get clear sound today, i can't explain it, i cant replicate distorted sound, maybe it was fault between updates. I am keeping it for now, will post if error reocurs.
Overall phone is a beast
Distortion came back for hour or two today, now again it is completly gone, bafled!!!
Aaaaa!!!
I am investigating if it is something to it, if not i bring it to exchange tomorrow (looks like they may be other phones suffering from speaker distortions, acording to claims due to equalizer??)
This are just guesses but until tomorrow i set my equalizer to default... Check this link:
https://www.google.si/amp/s/forum.x...-xl/help/speaker-distortion-fix-t3744177/amp/
Please annyone with this issues set equ. To default and report, thank you
And I have got a replacement with proper and unbroken seal now, all seems fine fingers crossed
I just received mine today, updated and imported all my accounts then noticed the terrible distortion from the bottom speaker! ? I factory reset it to prepare for an exchange and decided to try it again. Since the factory reset, it SEEMS fine in the tests. I don't know if I should go through the trouble of restoring my accounts and media and hope for the best or just exchange it.

My model before was 8266 dual sim Europe-Slovenia, now i got same model and works great ?
Just following up. The replacement I got also had the speaker issue. I ended up just returning it and ordering from another place. I received this third one a few days ago and it is PERFECT. The sound is louder and much clearer than the previous two; I'm loving it! ^_^ One thing I did notice, the first two said "Rev 1" on the box and this new one is "Rev 2".
Mine says Rev 3 and yes, it sounds really loud but I can't compare it to other XZ2 models because I only have one.
I have a distorted sound on 2 speakers. And I also figured out how to fix it with the sim card tray
How?

Question about the speaker at the bottom. Is it suppose to be a bit lower in volume than the top speaker? Mine is a bit lower, but I can't find any information on it.
For me, the speakers is 3.5/5.
Pros: Front facing true stereo (left and right channels)
Cons: Sounds thin and lacking bass. Max volume is really average, can't compete with the likes of Samsung S9 and HTC U12. Even the OnePlus 5T single firing speaker was louder. Not sure about you guys, the S-force surround toggle doesn't make any difference to me at all.

Volume on this phone is fairly good. My ringtones are loud. I keep below maximum. The vibrating earpiece when on a call is excellent. Out of all past cell phone earpiece speakers, this is the best so far. Very clear with no muddy sound.
Curious when u play music using bottom firing speakers, does the vibrating screen work in conjunction as dual speakers or no. Probably not.
Also during a call and u choose speakerphone, I take it that it's the bottom speaker that activates? If so, is it plenty loud and full?

I find this speaker to be loud and audibly clear for a single speaker. I keep my volume at 13. Setting it to 14-15 and it distorts.
The earpiece sounds better than any cell phone earpiece I've heard. The piezo screen vibration adds a touch of clarity.

Cool. Thanks mate!
The 3.5mm jack work also very well. The dedicated DAC make a great job with his HiFi mode on my headphones. I didn't try the provided earphones.

It's really loud actually, surprisingly enough for speakers on the bottom. Definitely a high rating.
Great. not only on the bottom, but sound while watching a video, comes from the ear speaker as well...
The audio jack sounds great on my system
Sounds kinda muffled to me.
Clarity tends to be pretty good, loudness for the price is a B+ in my experience. I keep forgetting this is a "budget" device, so I keep wanting to compare it to flagships. It definitely holds it's own. O guess I just got used to the speaker on the LG G7 ThinQ, so it's hard to come back from that. But honestly, one of the better ones in its class!
Pretty happy with it......A lot of background noise can overwhelm it more than my LG phones-but my LG phones have many other problems, but loud (not stereo) audio!

Mine too. I wonder if mine is a defective unit, because everybody seems to be all over it and praising it.
I got issues hearing notifications and it just doesn't vibrate strong enough either.
I mean, I can see the quality control might be a lot looser on these devices, given the price.
Mine stopped working a month in... Got muffled during a call and then stopped altogether. Bottom speaker is messed up.. alarms don't work either

Loving the device so far. Buttery smooth, powerful and very cool looking.

I'll try again...
After owning a Razer Phone 2 since release and getting fewer updates over time and facing a £200 repair bill for the front and rear glass, I've been looking for an upgrade.
My main uses are browsing, messaging and listening to music.
The Razer was great, the loudest phone speakers I've ever heard, so the first test was to put it side by side with the BS3 and queue up The HU Band's 'Yuve Yuve Yu' and press play.
The BS3 was clearly louder, I had to knock the volume down 3 clicks to balance the sound.
The screen is also noticeably larger, filling most of the phone.
Another win over the Razer is the 3.5mm socket although this prevents it from getting an IP rating.
Does the Black Shark 3 have a Metal Back Panel or is it all glass?

No, the headphone jack never prevented any phone to get an IP rating. People need to stop believing dumb nonsense like that.

Unlike my previous phone the Mi 9, the 10 Ultra has proper stereo speakers.
They sound great for a phone. The high end is decently represented. There is bass but nothing crazy. Music just sounds full, perhaps comporable to a cheap small set of Bluetooth speakers.
One thing to note. There is one speaker on the bottom and one on the top (the design is like a small grill of tiny holes). I like this as it adds to the stereo separation in landscape. I can see how it would be better this way for games and videos. It just confused me at first!
I feel like the volume is as good as you can expect. Quality is average, not bad at all but many flagship phones I've heard just sound more clear. I'd give it 8/10 comparing it to the best of the best flagship speakers.
how does it feel holding the device in landscape for games or video viewing since the top speaker is on the edge of the phone as seen in photo below
i feel like my hands will be blocking the audio output from top speaker??

Top speaker seems a little quiet but no worse balanced than any other stereo phone has been.
does your hand block the top speaker in landscape mode? as the top speaker (not talking about the speaker grill) is actually on the frame/edge of the device

The top speaker is in the middle of the frame more or less, so when I'm holding it landscape it is visible over my hands, the bottom corners are on my palms
If you hold it so the bottom speaker is on the left, nothing is covered at all! (because the bottom speaker is off-centre)
It's really can not say good. Speaker sound not “transparent” enough and rough. iPhone 11 pro max sounds way more better than XiaoMi 10 ultra.
I have an issue with Mi 10 ultra.
During the call connecting, or during the call(be it normal voice calls or Video calls in whatsapp/duo), if the speaker gets activated on the phone, a strange noise comes out from the ear piece/ear speaker. This noise is more noticiable when i put the phone near my ear.
Have anyone experienced the issue? what shall i do, please suggest
Is it getting feedback from the mic / top speaker? As you get it closer, the mic will pick up the speaker more as the doing bounces off you being so close. I have not noticed it on mine but I will try to use speaker phone on a call to see.

Hi,
i am not sure about the bouncing thing, but i have not noticed the same in OnePlus 5t or samsung note plus, both on the same network.
Its noticiable more clearly, when you bring it near the ear.
you need not be to be an actual call, just dial a valid number and switch the speaker on , so that you can hear the ring and then bring the phone near your ear.
