Hi,
Creating a bluetooth partnership between my computer and htc Tytn, I saw that I have the possibility "set as wireless stereo" on this partnership...
I guess the idea is to play sounds on my computer speakers, which would be nice, but it doesn't seem to work (nothing happens)...
I had some problem using active sync via bluetooth so maybe it's just my bluetooth drivers.
Has anyone tried that before? Does it work?
Thanks
Raph
I too have tried this but it did not work. I set it up on a computer at work so that I can play music through the PC speakers and no joy. It seams to connect and I even get the stereo BT icon on the PPC, but no audio is heard. No sound comes out of the device or the PC. So it seams that the device is sending the sound, but the PC is not playing it.
I will add that this was on vista but I have a feeling that it does not work properly on XP either, do to the fact that its a widcomm stack.

Hi,
I've installed Vista lately and finally managed to have Activesync and dialup working through Bluetooth.
I see however that I have "Telephony Audio Gatewat" and "Stereo Audio Player" options in Vista's bluetooth option's tab and it is listed under my Hermes device.
When I click and try to activate those serviers it shows 'connected' for less than a second and then immediately goes back to 'disconnected' state.
How can I use the Audio telephony through Bluetooth to my Vista laptop? Will be nice to have phone calls (especially conf. calls) through the laptop.
Also, how can I use the "Stereo Audio Player" option?
Thanks!
Gil.
I am also encountering this issue. I own the HTC Rapheal and have synced my phone and laptop, succsessfully transfering files between the two, however the audio options "Stereo Audio Player" and "Telephony Audio Gateway" do not connect. When I press connect the dialog displays "connecting" briefly then seems to time out, as it then reads "disconnected". Any help would be appriciated. thanks in advance!
Same Issue
I am having the same problem while connecting my HTC Touch Diamond. The audio is not working.
Yesterday, I had it working and I was able to stream the Sprint Radio to my laptop multiple times during the day. But all day yesterday, I couldn't get the headset audio to come to my laptop.
Today, the reverse has happend. I can get the phone audio from calls to come to my laptop but I can't get the music to work.
When I click on the "Stereo Audio Player" service it briefly shows "connecting" and switches back to "disconnected"
I've tried restarting the phone, turning off/on bluetooth on both devices. Adding/Removing services....
... and I still can't get it to work.
anyone know how to fix this?
I am having trouble getting my HTC Mogul to connect with car stereo by bluetooth for hands free talking. The stereo I have (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v3/pg/product/details/0,,2076_310069882_291159553,00.html ) allows bluetooth enabled phones to connect to it and use handsfree over the car speakers. I had it successfully working with every other phone i've owned however i can't seem to get my mogul to pair with it. Any suggestions? I've tried enabling the bluetooth on stereo to "discoverable" and had my phone attempt to connect but it won't work. I've also made my phone "discoverable" and tried to have the stereo initiate the connection and still no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I am hoping someone can help me out I am trying to get my PC working as a bluetooth headset for my wizard the problem I am having is that i get the little headset symbol on the phone but when I choose turn on headset nothing happens I have enabled headset and audio services on the pc and the phone sees it as having the headset service.
and and the pc dings and says the phone is connected to the headset service if it matters my bluetooth uses the older widcomm drivers
any help would be great,
yonu
any ideas?
I have been reading many threads on getting the "stereo audio" connection to auto connect fot BT Stereo headsets. It seems that when you pair it the first time, both "Hands Free" and "Stereo Audio" are working. When you disconect your headset and reconnect it again, only "Hands Free" connects.
I have tried A2DP toggle and A2DPSwitch, but they dont seem to work on the HD2. A2DP toggle did work when I had my old Samsung Omnia i900, so I can assume that its something to do with the HTC Phone Bluetooth stack
Each time I want to use the BT Stereo headset, I need to go to settings/menu/all settings/Bluetooth/590Plantronics and expand + and select "Stereo Audio". They then connect.
What I would like to do is until there is a fix for this, to reduce the number of taps, is create a shortcut to the Bluetooth Control Panel that shows the 590Plantronics device.
Is this possible?
Thanks Chris
Just make a shortcut to Windows\BTManager.exe and add it as a quicklink.
hi,
i have a jabra 3030 and a motorola s705 and both are reconnecting (handsfree and stereo audio) properly, when i turn them of and on again. when i go out of range (eg. forgot the mobile in teh car), when i come back the handsfree connects direct, and the setereo audio after i press the play button once. maybe this works for you also.
regards mad
I installed AutoA2DP on my phone and ever since, whenever I turn on my headset, it always connects as both stereo bluetooth and headset. I haven't tried it on an HD2 but you should definitely try it out.
I found the .cab of AutoA2DP awhile ago but forgot where I found the download link. In any case, I have attached it for your convenience.

Hi kilrah, thanks for your advice! That cuts out a few blinkin clix now and will do as a work around till this fiasco is solved, lol
I also noticed something very bizzare, and it is confirming my suspicions that HTC is in cahootz with MS or Widcomm or both, lol.
I tried using auto a2dp as suggested by GurWu, leaving the a2dp.ini file as wmplayer.exe. I then deleted the Plantronics from the system, re-paired them and what should spring to life after turning on the cans? You guessed it..WMP all paired up with HF and Stereo Audio. Turned off the headsets, turned them back on again and sure enough, WMP launches and plays thru the headsets.
All good, except I wont use WMP as it STILL doesnt have an EQ (Not getting in to why one needs an EQ or not here, lol)
No problems, I thought, Ill just set the a2dp.ini to pocketplayer.exe (my preferred player) turned on the headsets and.......nothing....no pocket player came to life.
Doing a manual launch of PP revealed that the headsets were only paired as HF, so back to my original problem.
Renamed a2dp.ini back to wmplayer.exe and it all works as it should....mmmmmm...does this wreak of a MS/HTC/Widcomm ploy? LoL
PS @ mad: When you said press the play button, were you referring to the play button on the software of your chosen media player or a hardware button as I dont have a play button on my HD2
PPS: Got a reply bacl from a2dp toggle author, says that it only supports M$ BT stack :-(
Cheers Chris
