Xbox One Controller Issues - Moto G4 Plus Questions & Answers

Hey guys, this is a bit specific but it could really help me out so if you can answer, please do. I'm trying to connect an Xbox One controller through Bluetooth, but I keep getting an incorrect pin error and therefore can't connect at all. It seems a firmware update for the controller broke connections for a lot of phones, but it also still works for many. I'm running stock nougat with the vegito kernel and I'm wondering if it works with either a different kernel or a different rom. If you have the controller and could test it out, I'd really appreciate it. Alternatively, if you somehow know of a way to get it working through other means, that'll also be a huge help.
Thanks in advance

[KERNEL][REQUEST] PSGroove enabled kernel

Hello, I am looking for a kernel developer to create a PSGroove capable kernel for emulating a PS3 JIG to allow playing of homebrew on the PS3. It has been done on the EVO. As you can see here: http://github.com/kakaroto/PSFreedom/commits/master
Supposedly it should be easy, provided you have kernel experience.
Anyone up for it?
They have working versions for the desire, n1 and the evo 4g, so those should be good bases to get started with.
Don't take this the wrong way, but they are already working on it for the Dinc, why ask here when the people who got it working on phones already have it under control. Just give it a little bit of time, it will be here before you know it.
Don't try with the new ps3 update they fixed it so psgroove doesn't work

Don't worry, the PS3 I am using will never see the internets ever again!
their are several ways to one either downgrade the system update back to 3.41 on the ps3 as well as remain n the internet thru logans proxy tools or a private server running the same setup with no need to update to 3.42. no ps3's are getting banned at this point.
edit: im still running 3.30 on my ps3 so i have yet to even upgrade to 3.41 which i have saved on a thumb drive.

Will ICS eventually support USB Host?

I dont know if this is hardware or software thing. Id really like to play roms on the go with a 360 controller.
Possibly. I have a kernel that builds, and partially boots. I just cant seem to get past one minor thing. Its got the stuff enabled for USB HOST. Just be patient.
Thanks a lot the info is much appreciated.
I can't wait to see that working on my Kindle !
Thanks man;we are really appreciate your work !!!

[Q] possible bluetooth fix?

Ive been hoping that someone would build asop or cm for this device but at this point I dont believe its worth anyones time. I dont have a problem with the stock rom its acctually nice but I am dissapointed that the bluetooth driver does not support the sixaxis app.
What is the best approach to implementing a fix for the bluetooth driver?
I'd appericate it if a devloper could just point me in the right direction Id like to try and make a fix
I would just use an otg cable with an xbox controller but that as does not work for me which sucks because other users have told me that works fine for them

[Troubleshooting] Nexus 6P - Latest MM - Universal USB Controller Support (NOT!)

Hello guys,
recently I've got a fully working usb otg cable and I've tried random devices on it, everything worked (like mouse and keyboard) or usb stick, except the Speedlink cheap controller I've got ... here is the question.
Does anyone knows if there are any mods tweaking it and allowing us to connect a usb controller too?
It will be nice if I could fix it because it will get me out of buying a bluetooth controller.
Have a nice day, George.
Worth the bump,
Can someone please direct me on how can I code it myself or at least discuss with me if it is possible?
It will be wise for the sake of my programming skills to get into it.
Have a nice day, George.
Bump, Im about to start the attemp of creating my own thing about this. Let me known about your useful knownledge about this thing!
EDIT:
I've already found out that it is possible to connect my controller.

Redmi note 7 - ps4 controller

Hello I really need some insight with this. I just bought an otg cable for pairning my redmi note 7 with my ps4 controller because I couldnt fix the input delay via blutooth and the continuous connect fix was not working for me(with both new and old version of the program) . When I paired the controller with the cable nothing happened, I then tried with my ps3 controller again nothing happened. They just charge and that's it, no inputs. When i put a mouse on the otg cable the mouse worked normally. When I tried it with my friend's Mi9t everything worked fine ! I tried the USB debugging settings etc, still the same. Is there any way to fix this?
i haven't tried it myself but maybe this could help you :

Thanks I will try this when I get off work and will post the results. I hope this works cause I use my device as an emulation station and this is a big problem for me.

What program are you using and what ROM?
Sent from my lavender using XDA Labs
hello, I used the Bluetooth Auto Connect (both the most recent version and an old one which some people said that works better) with no luck. Everything works as it should for a minute or so and then lags kick in and everything is unplayable. I use the most recent MIUI Global 10.3.10. Waiting for thw MIUI 11 update any day now.

Hey it kinda works that way. I mean you have to set it up time after time, after time but it works. So it is the same uncompatibility with the ps4 controller the owners of K20 and K20 Pro are posting about, I just cant figure out why it works fine via bluetooth(minus the insane lag) and not with the otg cable. It's a pain in the ass to set it all over again every time you need to play something in an emulator, but hey, it works I guess. I really hope they will fix this with the imminent MIUI 11 and add native support of the ps4 controller on this model cause I will be forced to sell it and I really like my note 7. Thanks again for your help!

The last time I used my Xbox One S controller was fine (I know its not your case) but I flashed a module from magisk to use it, and I see one for the ps4 controllers in the repos. Maybe it helps?

do you have to be rooted for that? I run official MIUI 10, soon 11. I really dont want to bother with roots, custom APKs etc.

It works for me this way but you have to set it up every time and it's kinda annoying. Sometimes it takes a minute or two once im in the emulators to recognise the control schemes.

i tried that method but the controller ps3 isn't being detected by the phonenor in the app -when i connect it it says "device is dead" , and the ps4 controller is detected in the app but not in game nor controlling the phone/home screen .
which controller is working for you ? is it working for you outside the emulator games ? if so , which games ?
and btw , is your phone rooted or not ?

Im using the PS4 controller. Sadly my PS3 controller is busted and I cannot test it in order to help you. Yes it is working outside of games with the method described above. You just use it as an alternative input method, so in other words you forfeit the keyboard and you use the controller as an input method. You cannot use the keyboard at the same time and after you disconnect the controller you need to reverse the default input method back to the keyboard in order to use the phone. Its not plug and play, you have to set it every time as I mentioned above but at least it works this way with little to no lag. I have tried it with Mame, Epsxe, Retroarch, PPSSPP, everything works I had no problems with any of the games I tried. My redmi Note 7 is not rooted and runs all the latest updates.

thanks for the respond , i got the ps4 controller to work in the emulator PPSSPP . although that's not what i was trying to solve , i wanted to use the controller in games/apps -the ones you download from the play store like FIFA,NFS etc.. - outside the emulator. but i think i'll have to root my phone to remap the touch control for these games.
i'll have to wait for a week to unlock the bootloader then i'll try again after rooting.
thanks again bro <3
