Hello guys,
recently I've got a fully working usb otg cable and I've tried random devices on it, everything worked (like mouse and keyboard) or usb stick, except the Speedlink cheap controller I've got ... here is the question.
Does anyone knows if there are any mods tweaking it and allowing us to connect a usb controller too?
It will be nice if I could fix it because it will get me out of buying a bluetooth controller.
Have a nice day, George.
Worth the bump,
Can someone please direct me on how can I code it myself or at least discuss with me if it is possible?
It will be wise for the sake of my programming skills to get into it.
Have a nice day, George.
Bump, Im about to start the attemp of creating my own thing about this. Let me known about your useful knownledge about this thing!
EDIT:
I've already found out that it is possible to connect my controller.

Hi all,
Apologies if this is not allowed on this forum, I've had great help from you guys in the past and I thought here would perhaps be a good place to try for help now, even though it's not HTC related! If it's not allowed please close this thread and accept my apologies.
I have just been given a new work laptop and went to hook it up to my KVM at home when I discovered that it didn't have any PS/2 ports for keyboard or mouse (yes yes I know I'm not "up with the times" and using USB!) so I went out and bought from Maplin a PS/2 to USB convertor cable - you know the type, 2x PS/2 sockets to 1x USB plug. I hooked it all up and keyboard is working but mouse isn't!
I've played around and played around trying 3 or 4 different mice and can't get the mouse to work at the same time as the keyboard :-(
Has anyone got any experience of this and have any idea how to fix it? It's really annoying not being able to use a proper keyboard and mouse, especially when trying to play Total Annihilation.
Many thanks in advance

Hi,
Need some help from dev's here, as I am new to android development and don't know where to start.
So, basically I am building a quadrotor helicopter from scratch, and since I was trying to avoid costs as much as possible. I was taking analog stick data from a USB PS2 gamepad onto my computer and writing it via serial port to an arduino which broadcasts the values over wireless to the quadrotor
ie
Gamepad->Laptop->Arduino->Wireless
Now recently I randomly connected my controller to my tablet and the analog sticks actually work for left/right movement etc!
And well not Im excited as this would mean I wouldnt have to lug my laptop around!
It would be great if someone could give me tips on where to start looking as searching didn't get me anywhere on how I could not use the gamepad as an input but just read its analog values.
and also how I could write to via serial to a usb connected arduino
I have 1 rooted Transformer
Heres a picture of what Im building

[Wont let me post links :/]
Thanks a ton.
Going crazy here trying to connect my wired knockoff PS3 Gamepad to the G4 ! The cable is good it seems as I can connect a thumbdrive and OTG Troubleshooter detect OTG when I plug in the Gamepad. Unfortunately is it NOT recognized by any games.
I found a Gamepad discussion for the Moto G and some people were having similar problems, one trick was to use USB Joystick Center 2015. That app is no longer on the Appstore for some reason but I found it on an APK repository. It did indeed find my Gamepad (MaxFire Blaze 2) but I can't really map keys automatically or manually.
Anyway, has anyone had more luck ? Thanks for any help !
PS - managed to connect a bluetooth Gamepad but that's creating massive interference with the WiFi connection to my drone , hence my quest to use a USB Gamepad.
Answering my own question, hopefully it will help someone, managed to get USB PS3 Gamepad native support by flashing the Pacman ROM here http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/development/rom-pac-rom-6-mm-moto-g4-g4-plus-t3453595
Well, it gets better, using the stock ROM and flashing the Elemental Kernel here http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/development/kernel-elementalx-g4-0-01-t3424836 actually adds USB PS3 Gamepad support, wonderful !
Hello everyone, I hope this is the right section where to post, I have scrolled down the home page until I've found this one. This is an android console based on Rockchip cpu so I guessed I'd give it a try with my problem. If not please forgive my dumbness and move the thread.
I have bought a GPD XD console that works very flawlessly beside one big huge damn problem I am not able to resolve.
One day I tried to hook it to my TV and looks great. Then I wanted to connect my 360 wired controller via USB otg. No luck. Then I tried ps3. Same. Ps4 controller? Again nothing appears on screen. Mouse, keyboards, flash drives, just nothing. Also updated it to last firmware. Tried 3 usb otg cables, 2 cheap one and one with gold plated connectors that costs more (dunno if this changes).
So I tried some of the methods I've found online to test the otg support and actually otg support is ok. What wasn't ok therefore, is that I had to download 3 xml files and putting then into permissions folder and allow them but still nothing happens. Downloaded then a vold file to put it into etc folder and again nothing works. The apps i've tried all tells me the otg support is ok but find me no otg signal
Actually usb port works for charging the device or make it visible to pc but this damn otg won't work.
I tried almost anything, . I am kinda noob at this but if usb works for charging and pc I can assume is a software issue and not an hardware one, or is it possibile the otg function depends on usb port "broken" even if usb port works for other operations?
Please I would be very glad if you could help me. Since it's passed too much time for a refund and send it back in China for a replacement will costs me a lot and takes like months if not one year as I've read around.

oh i wish i had. Do you have the same problem?
Hey guys, this is a bit specific but it could really help me out so if you can answer, please do. I'm trying to connect an Xbox One controller through Bluetooth, but I keep getting an incorrect pin error and therefore can't connect at all. It seems a firmware update for the controller broke connections for a lot of phones, but it also still works for many. I'm running stock nougat with the vegito kernel and I'm wondering if it works with either a different kernel or a different rom. If you have the controller and could test it out, I'd really appreciate it. Alternatively, if you somehow know of a way to get it working through other means, that'll also be a huge help.
Thanks in advance
