I have the international version and flashed the McLaren edition ROM a few weeks ago, since then I have reverted back to full stock but no matter how many restores or full fastboot image flashes I do back to the stock ROM of any version 9.0.5 - 9.0.11 , I am still stuck with the boot logo from the McLaren edition. I have also done multiple flashes of the LOGO.img on both A and B slots and still no change.
Also, if I flash a custom ROM such as HAVOC, it will show the HAVOC boot logo but once I flash back to stock, it goes back to the McLaren one.
Does anybody know if there is something else I can try to get it reverted back to stock?

I do, and I'm not trying to flame you. The reason it will look like I am, is because I'll tell you to go search, but that's because i don't know the exact answer, just that it's there!
Read the McLaren thread. But read! Don't just arrive and ask, because then you'll be asking for flaming.
How long have you waited at the boot logo. After new installation of a rom it can last up to 15 minutes for the rom to start up the first time.

I am not stuck at the boot logo. It boots with no issue. I just can't get the animation to go back to stock from the McLaren one.

Did you find a solution for your problem?

This was solved for me a little while ago by deleting the OP1 folder mentioned above.
The exact location is directly in Root.

Well, usually when I boot my TMN 2.1 ROM, I see a TMN splash screen and then the regular Android boot animation with the glowing text.
However, from day before yesterday, this is not happening. The TMN splash appears and the screen goes blank. Then after some time the regular Android text animation appears and immediately loads the launcher/home.
Everything appears to be working fine. Even the time taken for boot looks normal but the screen suffers a blackout for some time during the boot.
Any idea how to fix it or why this happens?
In my lg gt540 reference thread in developers part there is a post about possible solutions when you brick your phone, check it out, hope it helps!
hi lavero, i just wanted to ask which app you use for customizing your phones visuality like launchers, widgets, etc. i couldnt able to pm you cause im at the school now and gives problem with pm'ing.

Check if you don't get to see recovery too. If so then is bricked but not big deal just check my thread and do what is in there
Now if you manage to get in recovery try flashing boot.img again but always erase then flash. What was the last ROM you flashed?

Am in the stock ROM with fastboot. The ROM used to work fine. I installed a few apps and ubuntu(from nexus one hacks)... The recovery works fine too..
The boot animation(Android logo) is stored in boot.img? Not in system.img? Looks like I will need a bit of tinkering to extract boot.img from the kdz.
Anyway, thanks. I could just try a clean flash. Restoring apps is the only pain since I use link2sd. I should've made a NAND before that day. :/
I'm locked and rooted. I used SS to install Rage Rom. Doing this changed the boot logo to the something else. I need to send my phone back to Verizon but need to get my boot logo changed back before I do.
How would I go about doing this? I can't seem to find a stock boot logo anywhere. Does anyone have one?
Thanks

There is a stock logo in this thread. DL it, place it in your SD, and flash in recovery.

I thought logo.bin was locked along with boot & recovery?
I flashed the stock boot image. It changed... but not to the correct one. The logo it was before flash was the word Rage with the Moto logo behind it. Now it's changed to the words "Rage HD". I double and triple checked that it was the stock one but it's not changing it to stock.

Since the ROM changed his boot image, he should be able to reflash the stock one. I think I remember flashing boot logos back in my SS days, but that was long time ago.

"Rage HD" is the boot logo that comes with the Rage ROM for the Razr HD. Are you sure you grabbed the correct one off the thread? If you can't get it to flash, you'll probably need to RSD back to stock.

This is the 1st big m.
If it is the 2nd one a restore should fix.
It was definitely the right one. I chose the Moto red M one and the name of the zip is StockBootLogo. It didn't change it from the Rage HD. Someone else had suggested using fastboot to send the logo.bin over. I can try that and see if it works.

Thanks for the help guys. I was able to do the fastboot flash and it worked perfectly. I had no idea how to do that before too so there was a little learning too.

Oh wow, that didn't even run through my head. I guess I've just always flashed in recovery since my BL is unlocked. It is good to hear you got it taken care of, though.

Actually, the bootlogo is the only thing you can (cross-)flash with a locked bootloader. For example you could take the SoftBank logo out of a 201M *.xml.zip and flash it onto an XT907. It works.
But ok, it's not that useful in most cases...
When I experience very short static screens and hiccups, I decided to flash my phone back to stock. Everything went well, decided to flash TWRP 2.7.0.0 to flash some roms. Flash the pacrom (jbbl) and then my phone stays at the unlocked bootloader logo. I don't know how this even happened. The rom worked pretty well before, but now the phone won't boot up at all. I just currently downgraded my phone to Jellybean (98.30.1). Any idea how this happened?

I did flash the right rom for my intended phone. It worked the first time, and now the next flash becomes a trainwreck. I could also upgrade to kitkat but I figured out that the new firmware is a major battery drainer regarless of any battery saving apps.
Start over. Flash the stock system.img from a SBF with mfastboot, then flash your ROM and Gapps of choice.
I wanted to tinker around and decided to check out custom roms. Flashed pure nexus and gapps and rebooted without flashing the new vendor image. In fact I had forgotten to download it.
Phone booted into the language choosing screen showing the 'need to flash new vendor'. Not having downloaded it, I booted back into recovery and restored my backup stock rom to quickly get into the xda thread on tapatalk and download it quickly in order to start from fresh
Got the message ' Your device is corrupted ' with a red triangle.(usually got an orange triangle after I unlocked the bootloader). After the red message, the screen got stuck at the white Google screen with a lock pic at the bottom.
I tried restoring my backup again and even flashing pure nexus again with the same result of being stuck at the Google screen with the red warning message.
Totally frustrated not being able to even try one romantic easily. Does anyone has any idea of how to fix it? Or should I start from scratch downloading stock factory image again?
Thank you.

Is everything else in your phone up to date?(bootloader, radio etc. etc.) If you're not sure it Might be safer to just flash stock image and then start flashing roms.

My phone had been updated till last month but the rom has this month's patches too. Radio isn't updated by the Rom. By stock I had 3.61. The new one is 3.62 I believe. I have no idea why my phone acted this way though. Does this phone always have the risk of doing this and me flashing stock a lot of times to correct it?

I would suggest try cleaning dalvik and cache. However, I don't think that that would solve the red warning screen. Perhaps the backup you restored was somehow corrupted. I'd say reflash everything (bootloader, radio, rom, vendor, etc), and return to completely stock and see if the problem is still there.

Have you tried flashing the vendor image with the newest version of pure nexus. That red warning is due to the incorrect vendor image. I would try that before flashing the factory image and starting over.
So i wanted to go for some Pie rom and it turns out i cannot do that because reasons. Done everything that was listed in instructions, done even more things like flashing stock image, wiping everything, flashing fbe recovery, wiping everything again (besides recovery ofc), then pushing the rom to /sdcard, flashing it, wiping internal storage. It doesnt really matter what i do and what rom do i flash. Every time i end up staring at Google's boot logo (AOSPExtended is stuck at boot animation). I know there is a line like "be patient" in the instructions, but my patience had to come to an end eventually and it was after like 2 hours of boot logo, and another 2 hours of AOSPEX's boot animation. The phone is not heating up, but it would crash on the 1st phase of boot animation and reboot till infinity after restoring TWRP backup. I really wanted to use Pie, but i have run out of ideas on how to make it boot.
It's really an unusual case. But I had it on my previous phone, the LG Optimus G. I'm from stock 4.4 and every higher Android version rom won't boot on my phone. I gave it up but two months later, I tried again and bizarrely, It boot fine without any reasons. Sorry I can't help you what the problem is, but I can only tell you that you can try Pie roms a few time later and wait for you luck

By reading the flash instructions CAREFULLY.
Format data after flashing. It's the button next to advanced wipe button.

Then yeah, I did it.
Did you ever get this working? I'm having the exact same issue. I've tried several Pie Roms and so far no luck getting past the boot animation.
Oreo Roms work and boot up quick. I've updated to the latest TWRP as well. Is there a v9 Vendor Image we can try flashing?

Didn't really have time to mess with this lately, as i need my phone up 24/7, but i tried to get this working as soon as first Pie ROM's started to come out. Couldn't get it working then, and 2nd time was about the time i created this post.
The lastest vendor image is OPM7.181205.001, Dec 2018, as far as i know, so... We are kinda stuck with 8.1.0 for now.
