Random reboots, freeze, etc... Just an unpleasant experience all around. I want to love it but just not this one. Its been this way for 6-7 months and I can't take it anymore.
What should I do? Wife got it for me as Christmas gift from play store. Can I send it back you think for a replacement? TIA

I would suggest that you wait for 4.3.
That OTA apparently solves a LOT of issues - I get reboots and freezes as well, and it LOOKS like these are greatly reduced/eliminated with 4.3!
Update to android 4.3 and don't use chrome browser.
I have had the same problem. The freezing would be the worst. I could have had a full charge and when I would restart it from freezing it would have dropped to under half. I actually flashed back to stock and unrooted and it seemed to have solved the problem.

uhh it does have a one year warranty from Samsung, call and get a RMA. Mine had the battery problem and just sent it in and they sent me another one. Been working great ever since.

why not use chrome browser? does it cause problems?
I received my N10, opened the box, turned it on and it started freezing and rebooting. Can't get past the wifi step.
Tried hard and many times to finally get to enter my gmail account, etc
Updated to 4.3, problem persisted.
So I unlocked it, rooted it and tried flashing older stock versions, same problem.
Tried flashing CM, same; PA, same...
Even CM withouf GAPPS wouldnt work
Tried deactivating location service as suggested elsewhere: same; uninstall chrome: same
No I re-locked it, unrooted it and I am running stock 4.3: same problem
So basically, I have a $500 brick. Completely useless as it freezes every 30 seconds.
Decided not to return the device because although I am Canadian, I live in SE Asia and had a visiting friend bring it to me. I'm past the 15 day return period and the overall experience of sending it back fromhere would be a real pain in the butt... Don't know what to do. Really hoping Kit Kat will solve it but I have doubts.

Had nearly the same problem. Changed multiple roms and haven't seen my n10 doing ok more than 2-3 mins...
Rom from team DIRT(dirty unicorns) and KTManta kernel made my days. Give it a try, dont give up
So, I just got myself a brand new Nexus 6P today, and I'm in love. However, after unlocking the bootloader, connecting to my Wifi network (haven't gotten to test others yet) seems to cause my device to slow down and lock up. This happens on both the stock rom and on cyanogenmod. Has anybody else experienced this, or know how to fix it without RMAing my phone?

I never faced any such problem, ever. Which Android version and build number are you currently running on your 6P?
Also did you try re-locking and then checking if it works fine?

I'm on Android 6.0.1 and my build number is rather large because I'm on cyanogenmod right now, you can see a screenshot of my about page if you go to imgur slash 1b8VtH7 and yes, it did persist when I re-locked it
EDIT: If you want, I can make a video of the behavior so you can see it for yourself.

I could see in the screenshot that your radio version is latest, so my doubts are clear, and everything is fine there. To rule out the software aspect completely, you could give a try to a factory reset by flashing the factory image.
If that doesn't work, I would advise you to re-lock bootloader, and take your phone to the service centre.
Yeah, I was gonna give re-flashing stock a try in the morning. As far as bringing it to a service center, I've got no idea what to do, since I bought the phone through Amazon. Hopefully there should be some sort of RMA procedure available through them

Good luck. :good:
Even I brought my Nexus 6P through Amazon India. I had an issue with a misplaced volume key, so what I did was, I restored stock, relocked and took the phone to the nearest Huawei service centre. Took the phone, box, and all accessories, and also a copy of invoice from Amazon itself.

Well, I got antsy and just reflashed a bunch of different versions and roms; it's all the same, but now it's actually saying there's a problem instead of just hanging; gotta send it in -_- Oh well, at least I know when it finally gets here (again) I'll have an awesome phone.

Hey guys,
I created an account here just to share this fix with you all.
To start, Tuesday morning, I decided to update the note 7 (to the firmware that changes battery color if your device is safe). After finding that my battery is still white, I contacted my Verizon Rep and ordered a replacement. Since the phone should have arrived the very next day (corporate account) I decided to flash my phone using the root methods in this forum... BIG mistake. If anyone can confirm that after updating the note, root is successful, then please share. But in the end what I was left with was a note 7 that wouldn't even accept the verizon firmware flashed through Odin. Smartswitch didn't work either (wouldn't accept my serial) so i was pretty much SOL and out of a phone... Until today.
After one last attempt to fix this as I wait for my replacement to arrive, I was searching on the verizon forums and found an old post from the galaxy s5 on their forum. I downloaded the repair assistant from here * verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-80201/#windows * and put my phone in download mode. After connecting it and selecting REPAIR in the verizon software, the program downloaded the latest firmware and brought my phone right back to factory settings working as good as new. This was the only method that I found to work after several days of frustration.
I hope this helps someone out there. Thank you for reading!
i assume the only option was the most recent firmware?

Correct. The software goes to Verizons servers and downloads the latest firmware. So the annoying "power down now!" pop ups still show when the device is plugged in but it will be replaced soon anyway At least I have a functional phone in case of an emergency until the replacement arrives.
dude you save my life..same exact thing happen to me,but I had already updated my new note with the green battery and when I tried to flash the sprint firmware it failed and brick my phone..i decided to do the update cause people where saying that it did work with the new phone. but i guess i should of waited and not apply the new update.oh well
Glad to hear I helped somebody! Maybe I'll learn to live without root for a little while lol. The phone is still awesome

Okay, this worked for me, so I'm paying it forward because you guys have been tremendously amazing!!
SO, like many people with the PHE Verizon Note 7 , I received the 60% update and unknowingly installed it. Was very unhappy and tried to root my device not knowing that it would semi-brick it. Used the verizon software assistant to repair it and it erased and restored my device back to the point where it prompted me to install the update again. Downloaded package disabler pro apk version 6.3 and turned off auto update in the play store. MANUALLY entered in two file names which I will post below this and.. VOILA!!!! NO MORE UPDATE MESSAGE... EVER!!! This works only for VZW Note 7 as far as I know.
I disabled these two: com.samsung.sdm and com.sec.android.soagent since we are talking about Verizon here. They do vary by carrier.
First one gets rid of the message icon in the notification bar. Second one I guess stops it from coming back. Hope this helps someone!!
THANK YOU!!
You saved me from having to downgrade to an inferior phone. THANK YOU!!!
My wife (whose Note 7 was not rooted) accidentally did the upgrade from PH1 to PHE. Do you supposed we could plug her phone in and use this software to get it to revert back to the stock PH1 firmware? I'm trying to figure out how we can get her phone back to stock, if at all possible.

No. Not possible.
She is stuck on STOCK PHE.. block updates so she doesnt get bumped to the next STOCK upgrade at 60% battery
Hmmm. She now has the update where she's limited to 60% battery. Can't she do like Tmunroe1 above, try and root and use the Verizon software to revert it back? Seems like that would replicate exactly what he did, and ultimately end up back at stock like we want, yeah?
EDIT: Let me clarify. She does not care about root. She just wants her 100% battery back, so I'm interested in knowing if we can plug her phone in and utilize the Verizon Repair Assistant to revert it back to PHE w/ 100% battery.
Possibly

That worked for me. Yeah, I attempted root and bricked it unknowingly (I've rooted phones before but didn't adequately research the versions that wouldn't work. I was rooting for the express purpose of blocking the 60% limitation). But when the Verizon/Samsung repair software went in, it put me back to the version prior to the 60% update. I'm now able to charge to 100% and have blocked further updates using methods described above. Unfortunately, we likely don't have any way of knowing what version the repair tool will put on the phone, as they may or may not have remembered to update it by now. The version the recovery software put on my phone is N930VVRS2APHE. I hope this helps.

i wouldnt call it a brick lol moreso unuseable for much anything haha
I just received this phone a week ago, and all it's nasty pimples are starting to show. Bluetooth, wifi, texts won't send or receive randomly, charger makes static "clicking" sounds when quick charging, random freezes and overheating...
I bought this phone through Swappa. The guy who sold it sent it to me in pristine condition, because he was selling it as soon as he received the replacement. I ended up getting it for $240, but with all the issues and really lack of a solid custom ROM or safe way to root, has just lost all it's value to me. Even at $240, which should've been a steal of a price.
I tried doing ZTE warranty, and even though they said I could use it initially, after they finally had parts they told me it would have to be sent to the original owners address (the address the have on file for the last replacement).
Now though, even if I was able to do it, idk if I could have kept this phone, or gone through with the hassle. With Swappa rules, he has to take it back since it's defective, but I sure feel bad about it. He says he had no idea it had issues, and he used for a week (he says).
What do you think? In my situation would you have kept it? Would you buy this phone again if you could go back in time? The only thing I really loved about this phone are the speakers. That alone was almost worth it to me to put up with all the problems, almost...
Yes.
Haven't experienced the issues you're unfortunately plagued with.
The way you phrased your post, you've made your mind up. Sounds like you bought a lemon and you're hoping the myriad of issues sorts itself out which is probably not worth all the disappointment you're clearly experiencing lol. It also tends to be a red flag if the device is plagued with issues even after a servicing.
Plus, why should you feel bad if Swappa has explicit policies protecting you from buying said lemons. He can say whatever to convince you to keep the device. ?
I'm running stock. Rooted and custom recovery with no issue. Have had my phone for 7 + months. Unfortunately, custom ROMs are a bit buggy but not awful. The issues you describe sounds like defects not experienced by most. Not sure if swappa will guarantee your purchase?

Almost all of the problems that you described seem to be software-wise. Why don't you try to update the phone? Or downgrade-upgrade? This way you can reinstall the system without trouble with the warranty. I've been telling everyone to downgrade to Marshmallow then upgrade to Nougat since it might seem that the M zip wipes everything before installing.
Well if you want to do this:
Search for an official marshmallow update zip. You can use this one:
https://www.gizrom.com/install-marshmallow-on-zte-axon-7-from-nougat/
Download this file, rename to update.zip, throw it in the root of the SD card, go to settings --> Updates, touch on the file that appears.
After it gets back to the system again delete the file from the internal storage and go to Updates again. If OTAs are working then you should get an update to Nougat. Otherwise you can either search for an official B25 update zip on Google or XDA or go to https://www.zteusa.com/support_page/ , enter the phone's data (Smart phones, Unlocked i guess, ZTE Axon 7, leave the name or model blank) then get to Software Updates, and download B19 update package. After it is downloaded you might need to unzip the file, just open it with any zipping program and look if there's another zip inside called update
zip. In that case extract it and throw it in the root of the internal, system -> updates, update again. If you do this you can try updating by OTA later

So I buy this tablet a week ago, everything was going well until an update came in, after that the tablet ran very slow and some aplications wouldn´t open at all, so I went to the store, they check it and got a new one, because the other one aparently was having problems, I have been using this new one for like 2 days, everything was ok, the update came and its the same story, someone else is getting this problem.
thanks

You can get the old firmware from before the update from https://SamMobile.com and flash it with Odin. But you may have to unlock your bootloader first since your downgrading
