Remove both top edge and bottom edge black color plastic small cover.
Beneath U check those 3 golden color tiny spring contacts . Which are connected to white radium antenna lines.
These spring contacts should tightly sit with those white radium antenna lines.
Clean those spring contacts with spirit alcohol.
Those white radium running on black cover lines improves ur antenna signal.

Screen flicker disappear after turn off wifi?

I'm having a very weird issue here.
I just noticed that when my brightness is set under 30%(automatic brightness off) the screen is flickering with wifi on.
With auto brightness on same thing happened.
Afterwards, I turn off wifi, the screen flickering is disappear. Weird!
Is it the wifi problem that makes screen flicker?
Any future updates will fix this problem?
Other threads have discovered it appears to be the wifi antenae causing the problem, you can pop the back cover off and put stickytape over the ground tab and that resolves the issue, at least it did for me

I would also like to know if it affects the signal? And I'm pretty sure that popping the cover off doesn't void the warranty, right?
I have notice a slight flicker once in a while, but I don't notice it all the time. I don't wanna return it either, because I'd be without my tablet. so if putting tape on the ground would fix it, that's good to know.

My signal is the same with tape applied. Also change the wifi channel on your router. This cleared all of my flickering issues. I went from channel 6 to 11. That with the tape ended all of my issues.

Well my flicker isn't bad, I usually don't notice it. Once in a while I will notice a flicker, but it usually doesn't happen again soon.
Anyway the wifi channel I use mostly is channel 4.
Is there a post or something online that shows where you need to put the tape? I don't want to open the back if I can't help it, but if it really will eliminate the [small amount of] flicker, I may just end up doing that.. with gaffer's tape of course.

MK809II Fixed

I have managed to find a solution in fixing my MK809II.
Basically my MK809II would not boot up and even my PC would not recognise it but the small blue LED would light up as if it were getting power.
I hope this solution helps other people that have the same issue as I did.
Firstly make sure you have RKBatch Tool running on your computer.
If you look at the first picture I have pointed out two very small soldered dots on the PCB.
All I done was get a flat headed screw driver and set the flat end on top of the dots so that it would give a temporary connection between the two. (see pictures 2&3)
Holding the flat screw driver across the two solder points, at the same time connect the MK809II to your computer, DO NOT USE THE POWER MICRO USB PORT!!, make sure you use the micro USB at the side where the micro SD card slot is.
Straight away the RKBatch Tool will recognise your MK809II. Now it's in flash mode you can flash your stock or preferred custom rom.
Enjoy:good:

The reset button on my MK809II is on the other side of the PCB. If you could please post a picture of your PCB with the model number printed on it that would be great, so I can compare the difference and then I would be able to get in touch with the seller that sold me it.

Thanks for the pictures. To be honest when I got my dongle I thought the same, as I was having a lot of problems with it, freezing, rebooting on its own and bluetooth & wifi problems, but since going to the official MK809.com website and downloading their latest firmware and flashing it to the dongle, I have had no issues at all with it, so I'm happy about that:cyclops:
On my PCB it's marked MK806, yours is marked T005 - V5, any idea what that means? Also could you please tell me where you bought yours from?

Singal drop / loss. Hardware problem? Where is the cell antenna?

hi all...
I have a i337 from AT&T but my display broke some months ago. So I ordered a new one but I think the display was for the i9505. Because when I opened it and looked on it from the back, on the right up corner, there was not enough space for the i337 motherboard. The i337 motherboard has an (additional?) piece, which didn't fit into the display case.
So I cut of the plastic from the display case and then it fitted and went well for a while with great signal.
i337 display case
i9505 display case (with the cut off plastic)
But now for some days, I have a lot of singal loss and can hardly get more than 2 bars.
I try to find out where the problem is. I was originally on MF3 when everything went well. But then I updated to MK2. And then some time later..the issues startet. So my conclusion was that it must be a software problem..I tried all modems..nothing helped. I updated from MK2 to NB1. Nothing changed. Problem is still there.
So i assume that it must be a hardware issue and it was just a coincident that the issues appeared some days after the update. And now I try to understand how the galaxy antennas work. I think it can be fixed, because I didn't loose the whole signal..it's jut a lot weaker.
So I have some questions..
1) Is it normal, that these 2 contacts don't touch the motherboard on the left side and are flexible? The problem might be there..because this was the part of the phone..which didn't fit well.
2) For what is the long blue patch cable for that connects the bottom and top of the phone? http://www.etradesupply.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/IMG_69401.jpg
3) The main cell antenna is at the bottom, right? http://stellatech.com/pubs/uploads/...laxy-s4-antenna-loudspeaker,520e268826f6e.JPG
I changed now the antenna at the bottom and the small blue wire..even if I think the wire is for wifi
But nothing helped...i also downgraded to mk2 from nb1. still bad signal.
does anybody knows where the modem sits? maybe i can change this..

Not sure about the exact parts but you're talking about but iFitIt has a tear down where they label and show you all the parts inside

I had the exact same issue with you. Bought an i337, screen broke and replaced it with that of i9505's and then i experienced signal loss. What worked for me is this:
make sure you compare the mis fitting side (right top corner) and make sure the motherboard is at identical height on both sides. With the bezel taken out ,power on the phone with your sim card inserted (so you have only the screen and motherboard (no speaker and the plastic bezel in place). If you find out that you still don't have signal, while the phone is on, detach and reattach the blue wire and see it this is the issue. This worked for me.

!MicroP(LED) error

Have here a HT mini (PB92100) SPL-1.07.0000 with error code "!MicroP(LED) error(0x00)! Expected(0x1B)"
When I start the phone normal the HTC logo appears on a white screen. This lasts for about 1 minute. After that the display goes black (screen still on in dark grey) for about 10seconds. Then the WM 6.5 start screen appears(preparing for first use). The bar on buttom of the screen runs until 100%. It lasts in this state until the battery is empty and shut down.
What I have done so far: Hard reset (vol+ und vol- pressed and switched on). No success. Starting in bootloader mode and tried to connect to PC: no connection. Prepared SD-card (2 gig-SD) with latest rom "HTC HD Mini_RUU_Photon_HTC_GER_1.36.407.1_Radio_Signed_32.2803.05.06_0.63.05.36_Ship.exe" and started in bootloader mode (vol- and power) - nosuccess.
After some tries I got the unit running for a short while (HTC logo with desire.... and sound, windows started up - but extremly slow.
Also with the PC connection I had a ping and win7 tried to install a driver for the phone but didn't find one.
One remark: There is a small spot broken from the glass of the touch screen right bottom side. But the display is absolutely fault free. Could this be the reason for the "!MicroP(LED) error 0x00"? Any help is appreciated.
I wish I could help you, but I'm not sure what caused this.
Have you tried other WM ROMs that made for your phone officially?
and when did that error happen? after broken?
humidity issue

Meanwhile I have solved partly the problem. WM6.5 starts and all the menues work so far. Problem was that the phone fell into water and hasn't been dry enough before switching on again. So I disassemled the phone, took out the main board and found some dirty spots around the battery contacts and even around some connectors. Cleaned all this and the phone starts now in windows. Touch screen works, display is ok. Sound comes out of the speaker and the camera works too.
After I reassembled I found some further issues: vol+ button doesnt work. Even WiFi doesnt work. Only very very close to the router I get 1 bar for WiFi. I still can not boot in the bootloader - maybe a problem of the not working vol+ button. Tried to remove the second board but wasn't successful. Do I have to remove the screen to remove the screws for this second board? Any help?

Thanks again for the help. I managed to lift the second board a little bit and found nothing what caused the remaining malfunction. Then I opend the shielded boxes on the mainboard and cleand inside two additional spots which ware a result of the dryed water drops inside this boxes.
Now the unit runs as expected. vol+ and vol- works, !MicroP(LED) error has gone, and wm m5.6 runs like a scharm. But one thing is left: WiFi doesnt work properly. Still only 1 bar of the WiFi router. Even direct beside the router. Does anybody has a hint regarding the Wifi?
There is a blue and a grey coaxial line between the 2 boards. Assume the wifi chip is on the mainboard and the antennas on the second board with the keys. Which one of the coaxial lines is for Wifi? The gey or the blue one?

I'm not good at hardware for htc hd mini, and the developers or whatever called are gone here! nobody left, so all you can do is at your risk or you should ask the others from your friends or there can be something that grey or blue is line for wifi, from my laptop's wifi were grey color, maybe this should be grey too. blue are usually for connection line cable, and for wifi and antenna or satellites were grey colors.

Simple solution for this WiFi issue: Didn't reassemble the back cover of the second board. Back cover has all the antennas integrated. So after reassemble of the back covers the unit runs perfectly.

Hi
I'm facing a very strange problem.
I've a S8 and I have no network. I've tried with several simcard.
I've checked on Internet with my IMEI number and my S8 is clean.
I've bought it with the screen broken and i've changed the screen. I've checked that all connector are good...
Anyone has an idea?
Thanks

Make sure all the screws ar eback in and the antenna connectors are not broke and are in the correct places. I bought one did the same thing
Thanks, I've done it twice. I've seen that the white antenna wire was compressed and the plastic was cut making a contact with the frame. I put a sticker on it but it didn't change anything.

They're not swapped are they. Maybe the wire or connector is damaged
I had a note 5 that was like that the connector got damaged
You could try software and flash a carrier csc. We had issues with modem crashes and that's what would solve it
I will tear it down tomorrow to triple check everything.
Thanks
