hey gys, I have just checked my samsung apps application and there was a camera update firmware. has anyone else has this?
EDIT: I updated, but couldnt see anything different, may be it is only bug fixes.

i just updated to the new firmware (KE1 -no root) and i wanted to download Kies Air app from Samsung Apps, but it first updated the Samsung app and then it showed that I have firmware update for the camera
Weird, I've done the same and Samsung Apps has updated but no camera firmware...
Do you have the name of that firmware?

strange, I just installed it on my mate's phone as well, we both got it from phones4u in UK and both had KDD firmware, I upgraded to KE1 but the other phone on KDD still had the update.
I have no idea how to get the firmware number, It was installing it for 4 min exactly and I had to make a reboot. the camera app is still version 1.0

The Samsung Apps also required an update.
So this camera app update doesn't actually bring any new features or functionality? It's simply bug fixes (not that I found any camera bugs personally)

yeah i think it's bug fixes, it might have fixed the pinkish pics some have reported or the "no sound" on video recording issue, but anyway it is really good to see that samsung are working on delivering updates and bug fixes on time

Yeah that's a very good thing the SGS apparently had awful support from samsung, glad to see this has changed for the S2, that was one of my only worries buying this over another HTC.
I get the camera update with KDD.

The new camera FW version is OCED11. I Received it on KDD.

Your camera firmware update is on your samsung apps in your app draw the update for the camera is in there

The SGSI support was actually pretty good everywhere outside the US, where carriers, rather than Samsung were the main problem.
Here... and theres some interesting TF101G stuff on the ftp site too.. I don't know if the 'web portal' of the ftp site has public -directory- access.. but the ftp site is all good to browse around.

Here is the whole lot of the changes. It seems to be mostly license related, go figure.
There are a few minor network related changes though they appear mostly related to redefining the new pointers. Nothing that strikes me as actually different.

Well it's not NOTHING new. There is a lot different. Unfortunately it's mostly new licenses and changed cases (what was capitalized before is now lower case).

The only changes relate to the networking modules and some different license disclaimers. No video changes.

The fact is that the minor update including this kernel improves 720p videos playback with stock player app.

Let me reiterate - I have looked at this kernel bit by bit and pasted the ONLY differences in my previous post. There are some changes with regards to networking, but NOTHING regarding media has been changed. It is literally the exact same.

No, there aren't. Check this very forum. Many of us (myself included) had no issues with 720p playback before this update was even released. There's just quite a few people who didn't notice their problems were resolved until the update was already out, and assumed that the update was the fix when it wasn't.

This is actually the third version of the manual that I've seen, although it's called v2.
The main changes this time around:
* They've added the TF101G to the manual.
* They've added a note that charging via USB only works with the screen or tablet switched off, takes longer, may not work with all PCs, doesn't work when the dock is attached, and doesn't work at all for the TF101G.
* They've added mention of the memory card reader accessory.
* There's now a list showing what all the keyboard function buttons do.
* They've noted that the dock latch should move to the right when the tablet is docked, and added a section on removing the tablet from the dock.
* They've added info on locking/unlocking, touch panel controls,
* There's new info on sharing and deleting albums, mail, and Gmail.
* They've clarified that MyNet and MyDesktop only work inside a particular network, and can't be accessed via 3G.
* They've added a Windows Firewall step in MyDesktop, and a lengthier explanation of Asus Sync.
* They've added a credit for Arphic iFont.

Maybe you overlooked something because there are some videos that used t onlly open in moboplayer or rockplayer that now open in the stock videoplayer app meaning hardware decoding.

I think you're confusing the kernel source posted by the OP with the OTA update that was recently released.
This kernel source has no changes with regards to anything but networking and some licensing.
The OTA update contains files that allow the stock player to support additional formats.

just got my phone, but I'm guessing it came in one of the updates it received after I opened it. I like it a lot so far. Didn't know about the animation. Though I'm not sure how you'd export it (does it save it as a .gif file?)
additionally, what apps are you using for a "gallery". Not too fond of google photos. Currently using QuickPic

Not sure about the gifs, but I use the Google photos app for gallery and editing along with lightroom

Got the camera update from Google
Finally got the update, only differences I can see are the shutter button is now grey with white border, you can take pictures in video mode, and slow mo video option is now in video settings menu, might be a little quicker to open, taking a picture is near instant.

I read it , idk but I have Google camera version 3.2.042 and it's look like the N preview (and number are higher than the N version ) it's updated directly from play store so ...

I have the one you are talking about with all those features and I got updated through the Play Store. It was dated April 15th. The version is version 3.2.042.

same as me and other , so there isn't any april 25th update , it's just how google roll out update all over the world in play store , some get faster than other and the OP of course get the update on april 25th and he think is the newer than april 15th but he's wrong and he get update later than april 15th .

Anyone else facing the issues playing HD videos in Amazon Prime. Even after changing the stream settings to Best quality it plays in 480p. It was working fine before and stopped all of sudden. Though the device is Widevine CDM Level 1 it should not have any issues playing HD or FHR videos.

I'm facing the same issue and it occurred since Android 10 upgrade.
Widevine is L1 for me too.
I ask to prime video technical support and they answered me the problem is in the phone (Xiaomi upgrade) and not in the app.
I 'don't know if it is right... but we are not the only ones with this issue.
Is there someone who could use primevideo in HD with android 10?
Does Netflix app work fine in HD or does it have the same issue?

Yea even Netlfix app has the same issue. It plays in 480p.

Very strange!
In an Italian forum an user made the check on Netflix app and he could have the 1080p setting, only for Primevideo is not possible to have HD contents.
Any news about the problem?

Even after MIUI 12 update it's still the same. Xaomi claims that phone does support HD streaming.

Yes, in fact netflix, youtube, skygo and all other apps tried by me or by friends support hd.
Amazon customer service will open a ticket to xiaomi if someone could send to them the prime video app logs files.
Unfortunately on my phone, I couldn't collect their logs, because this operation doesn't work...
"send a feedback" function.
Could you try to call customer support and send them the logs?

I did try calling both Amazon and Xiaomi but no help. As per them the issue is with phone. Also Hardware Acceleration is missing under Amazon app for me which helps to play HD videos. Making the change in Hardware acceleration might help you.
Here they say it is a common problem with xiaomi and realme devices...

Guys , tbh if you check the history of this problem carefully, you will understand that Chinese phone companies (With widevine L1) are affected by this issue . I am a oneplus user. I got widevine L1 support. Still plaing 480p videos on prime .This is a trust issue problem by the ott platforms on Chinese devices.
